    Yes! I fixed my brush by literally turning everything off. Added a little jitter and I’m happy with it! Thanks!!!

    This is exactly the video I needed to understand these brushes. I've tried messing with these settings, but without this explanation I was just getting frustrated and giving up. Thank you!

    DUDE, I RELATE TO THIS SO MUCH. I hate all the brush settings and just want a simple ass line. Shit's super overwhelming.

    Wow. That a coincidence! I´ve just finish an illustration with some vector brushes witch I could tried some specifics settings and I created my own vector brush. Also, It´s awsome to work 98% on iPad and just make some detailed editions at Illustrator desktop. For sure, Fresco is a great option (or the only one in this case!) for any vector projet illustration using iPad. Great video Chris! Thanks a lot!

      Hey thanks! It was actually pretty easy, I just put the camera on a tripod in the same spot and recorded both parts. Then I just overlaid the videos and cropped one in half.

    hi Chris! Is there a way to draw something with a vector brush, and then modify the same drawing to one drawn with another type of brush without drawing all over again? For example, a cat drawing with thick bold lines. Then the same drawing with dotted lines

    @chris-piascik just curious on the Gritty Vector pack. Do you have fill brushes in there with texture? I'm looking for a Vector Brush in Fresco that fills with some sort of splatter texture or gritty texture as empty space in the fill. Before I plop down all of $10 for the pack, I want to make sure something like that is in there. I'd also be fine if it was a Vector grain pattern that I could set to erase the grain from my fill with Vectors. I don't have Illustrator, so importing different brushes has been a pain so far.

    • @chris-piascik
      @chris-piascik  6 месяцев назад +1

      Unfortunately it does not. That’s currently not possible with the current Fresco vector settings. You can’t import brushes from illustrator either. Fresco does vector different than illustrator so the brushes wouldn’t work properly. Fresco vector is shape based vs stroke + fill.

    • @zendragon6
      @zendragon6 6 месяцев назад

      Weird. I thought I saw you could import Illustrator brushes as vector brushes in Fresco, but it makes sense if they aren't stroke+fill. Guess I'll keep using Inkscape for vector tracing for those pieces.

  • @CamCadie
    @CamCadie 8 месяцев назад +1

    So this brush is a true vector brush right? No matter the scaling, it won’t lose quality or be pixelated like a raster brush?
    I never knew you can do vector art in Fresco, I think I’m really gonna switch from procreate now!

    • @chris-piascik
      @chris-piascik  8 месяцев назад

      Yep! It's all vector. Fresco's vector brushes work like the blob brush in illustrator, so it's shape based rather than outline/fill. But you can send vector art from Fresco right over to Illustrator. Or export it as a pdf.

    Why my pressure sensitivity doesnt work with any brush? on my tablet application which is a huion and other apps like krita and photoshop my pen pressure works fine but when i use fresco it doesnt. Also i know that i selected the pressure pen on fresco because it shows in the brush preview but when i draw it doesnt work. i Tried to unistall my graphic table app and reinstall still no result . I also tried to find some Fresco files but i couldnt even find them, idk where they are.

    05:22 Did you have to click on the layer/object and it automatically converted it into a new brush? Or need to redraw it?

    • @chris-piascik
      @chris-piascik  8 месяцев назад +1

      Unfortunately you can't apply brushes to lines like you can in Illustrator. Fresco does Vector like the blob brush, whereas it's shape based rather than path/outline and fill. So I just traced it with the neew brush.

    Version 5.5.0 does not

      @@chris-piascik yea I'm on the latest version and I can't save any changes I make. It's actually why I'm here trying to figure out what I am doing wrong. Apparently nothing. It just isn't an option. As best I can tell it is a feature that has for whatever inane reason not been added to the Windows/Desktop version of the software.
