Ughh this is amazing! I only don't succeed to copy paste the shape into Indesign correctly. I get a dotted selection box around it in InDesign and don't know how to get a frame out of it to put the photo in. Anybody knows what I'm doing wrong?

The dotted selection around everything is a good sign, what happens if you just drag and image into it?

Do you mean in illustrator? There's two ways to access it, first during document creation and second at one of the tools in the left side tool bar
