I like that you can only equip two stances at a time. It encourages you to roleplay and specialise in your favourite stances, rather than being a master of everything.
I feel like my opinion of it is mostly going to be based on when we'll be allowed to swap them out. if it's just a matter of there not being enough keybinds and you can swap them in the menu any time you want I think I'll love it. the 3 you don't have ready are always there to use, it just might take an extra second. if you can only swap them at meditation points I think I'll hate it. there are clearly going to be times where one style is an obvious choice over the others and it'll probably feel pretty bad to blindly stumble into those points when you don't have the right styles equipped.
I think you can shoot people at close range as you make them unbalance with lightsaber or find an opening. as you dodge, backstep, side step. or could be like a canceling move when you see them glow red and charge up. if that's the case 100% would recommend against humanoid bosses or maybe even giant monsters... probably a pretty good against crowd too.. shoot up the mid range or back then kill the fron lines with sword. think about pirates in 1650 - 1700 something but instead of those falchions you got a lightsaber and not one shot guns but dunno how many bullets.
I'll probably use the dual wield a lot because being able to cancel your attacks is a real lifesaver sometimes. I'm a bit skeptical about the blaster stance, but we won't know more until the release.
I feel like the blaster stance is going to work a little bit like red hoods in Gotham knights pressing a button to make him to a quick shot and go back to melee
Im probably going to keep dual wield and blaster stance in my hot bar. After downloading the outer time mod for blade and sorcery I’ve come to realize how OP the saber blaster combo is.
@@ked49 Nah, I don’t have a pc. Only a ps4. And it doesn’t help I’m only a kid, and because of that, can’t just buy a ps5. So yeah, I’m saving up for one
i really love the idea of a stance that relies heavily on ranged combat and using your blaster over your lightsaber in a game where you play as a Jedi, we haven't seen something like that since the Jedi Outcast games. the idea of the lightsaber replenishing your ammo reminds me of how the guns work in Hyper Light Drifter, so hopefully its similar to that! im definitely going to be using cross guard and blaster mainly.
I feel like I'm gonna have dual wield as one of my default stances for quite awhile. Probably gonna trade out between single and double bladed stance for the other one. Also, I realized something with the blaster stance. I feel like for a bit in the game, we'll be unable to use the dual wield or double bladed stance at some point, as the trailer for the game does show that one of Cal's lightsabers does get taken. So at that point, I'd probably go with the crossguard stance for sheer power
The worst idea was choosing 2 stances in meditatiom points, having 5 stances was part of the hype The Bd-1 button was almost useless in the first Game, the scanning process could've been easily changed by using the joy-stick interaction and at least letting the player carry 3 stances at a time I really hope they update or change that somehow soon
I think the stances 2 at a time makes for a more challenging game I do feel you and I would’ve agreed at first but nah I think two stances at a time is good for difficulty
@@TheGodlyGamerMugen now that You mention that it makes sense that the Game has that kind of strategy but I would have liked having all the stances like i'm Ghost of Tsushima but probably there is a reason for the choice they made
You guys are forgetting the boring grinding y’all would have to do with 5 stances, each stance has a skill tree right? Ever play sekiro and all the arts especially late game costed a lot of xp points? If you tried to get all skills in new game rather than new game+ it’ll take long as in each NG+ you’d get more xp, what if there’s NG+ for Jedi survivor and each NG+ gives you more XP? Easier time to level up plus you get to use 2 new stances.
I’m thinking about using it because surely it’s not going to be useless and using duel wield too. I love the fast gameplay so much bc I’m a battlefront sweat 😂
I like the option because sometimes you would end up in a stalemate against the Nightbrothers with bows. They would stop shooting at you and you'd have to get close enough to them that they start shooting again. Hopefully this gives the option of going a little on the offensive and not having to wait for enemies to make the first move.
Thanks for the informative video! When all the stances are available I will use the dual wield and blaster stances because they are interesting different. Very fun combo in my opinion.
I hope we get an ability where you can hold a button and change your stance, just like in JFO where holding square made you change from double to single blade. Would be cool to have that late game
As far as I understand, from what Andrew said it seems like the dual-wield stance will be fast and high-risk high-reward, which is really fun to me. I never really understood how in Fallen Order, Cal and the bosses could take multiple lightsaber swings to the chest and lose a small amount of health. Gameplay wise it makes sense, however it really just seemed strange to me, when one slash from Vader to Luke severed his hand. If the dual-wield will be high-risk high-reward, it will make Cal more vulnerable, which makes sense, and the lightsaber stronger, which also makes sense. That’s probably going to be my pick.
I am 100% going to use dual wield. I am not sure what other stance I will use, but I love that combo in Fallen Order, the gameplay looks really cool with it, and I am a player that is faster, so that will work with the speed boost, and cancelling an attack is an advantage that I will definitely take advantage of because I had that problem with bosses during Fallen Order. Really excited for that one and I am interested to see how the blaster will really work in the game.
I hope they give you more of an open path when it comes to cals morality. I thought he would struggle a little more with the dark side and they would give you choices dependent on that in the first game. But it was still an amazing game, I would just love to see that more expanded on.
@@schultz4966 I mean yeah, I can come to that conclusion after beating the game. But my point was when they were hyping it up at events and with trailers and stuff they made it a pretty clear point that cal would struggle with the dark side and it just seemed pretty lackluster in game. Just hoping there is more of that in this new installment.
Cross and blaster stances I’m more of a single blade stance guy so those are gonna be the pick maybe after I’ve truly mastered them will I try dual weird and double bladed for a while
I had an idea of a run through of the game. What if you played it like a Pokémon nuzlock were if you die while having a stance equipped your not allowed to use that specific stance anymore. If you lose all of your stances you lose the run.
Blaster stance could be fairly entertaining with the right mechanic. Have your Blaster have a limited amount of shots and but you can recharge them with Lightsaber hits. Hits with the Blaster will power up your lightsaber for a single hit and hits your lightsaber will recharge your blaster. Thus creating a push-pull mechanic with the stance that makes you blend both together
I am a fast paced fighter and love flashiness. Dual wielding and double blades will definitely be my mains. Those two stances are the perfect choices for me. Also dual wielding fits my play style perfectly.
Judging from what is shown in the trailers, we'll lose one of our sabers in conflict and it is taken by our enemies, with us gaining the blaster to compensate. We later fight a boss who has a modified version of our saber, gaining the cross guard and possibly regaining dual wield and double blade.
I'm OK with equipping two stances at a time. This is what we see on screen where a Jedi or Sith will use at most two saber styles, typically only one. It encourages thoughtful selection and specialization as you develop your character RPG-style.
Honestly being able to use 5 stances at once was part of the incentive of what made me hyped. I hope they can change it in the delay and I realize for some odd reason people like only being able to have two which is weird cuz just…only use two then? But regardless I guess making it an option in settings would be cool for people like me who want to chain stances together to make combos, also how does the switch stance move work in this game? Is it still there
I think we should be able to switch to any of them at any point it doesn't make sense to go to a med point to switch up your sabers when you carry all you need !
Hopefully blaster stance will be like Callisto Protocol where you can combo your blaster while using your lightsaber. Maybe shooting them while their stamina is drained causes the effect to last longer
