This is exactly what I was looking for! Thank you for answering my question. Great tutorials per usual! Appreciate you. I play on a DJ-S11 too. Mad helpful!
@@torinmartinez4331 I really enjoy using it make me think of production and sets differently it isn’t my main peace of gear in the studio or anything as I have a ton of stuff I like to play with but I think for a producer/dj who wants to add some flavor and is a fan of pioneer gear it’s definitely worth picking up. But I always tell people it’s worth trying the gear out that interests you because you never know how it going to fit into your setup until it’s in your setup.
is it possible, that I can live sample while the sound goes directly to the master? cause now I just can sample over my mic and it plays just when the loop starts - I think you solved that problem with your mixer, but isn't there also an other way like do smth in the monitor settings? help appreciated :)
There are a few different ways. One would be the line mixer way like I did more for if you want to run synths and instruments to the sampler. The other way would be a 4-channel DJ mixer with sends and returns using the Sends and Returns as in/out from the DJ mixer. There are other options using the 1/4 inputs on the back with something like a voice touch, but it all depends on how intricate you want to get with your setup. Lastly, if you go into your settings, there are also different monitor output settings. Hopefully that helps. I hope to do more videos on the DJS again soon.
I dig the Maschine as well. I did a video on that one a little while back. There are some differences in how they integrate with a pro-DJ setup, but you could use them similarly.
@@CRLCRRLLTV I sold mine because it was too limiting. I wanted to actually play music on it but it was mono and not poly notes. Plus no Ableton Link for syncing with other modern softwares.
Are you looking to link it to ableton to launch clips or just run in unison with instruments your playing on a midi controller? I think with the DJS Pioneer was trying to achieve what allof of people use the Toraz or external samplers for while keeping the idea of integration of modular synth compatibility alive. It would be dope to see this thing work well with ableton or any other peace of gear other than the ableton puch two for that matter to work stand alone and with ableton but I doubt pioneer will try to incorporate anything. The Loop size I think could be longer would be cool to write longer sections wouldn't it.
More DJS-1000 content! Love it!
Thanks for watching! More to come!

Are you speaking the vocals into a mic ?
I think I prefer the Maschine MK3 over this ?

@@MusicGearMondays I could probably connect my maschine mk3 to my Denon prime 4 I assume
@@pierrefitch I believe so just into the line or aux in and you should be set.
They need to update this to play poly notes. Also this needs Ableton Link ASAP!! Also this needs longer size loops!!
What setup are you using your DJS1000 with?
