Lord , always hunt me down and bring me home. Father Mike, you are an inspiration, a help for those in need of Jesus. Please continue to pray for me every day, even after this year is over. I am praying for you to always be the wonderful priest that you are. God bless 🌹
Fr. Mike, since starting this CIY, we have been praying for you by name every night in our family rosary. Thank you and Ascension for all you have done to make CIY possible. ❤
In these last few days, my heart has been overwhelmed with love and often I am on the verge of tears. Thank you Fr Mike and the Ascension team for bringing this to us. God loves us all so deeply. What can I do in return? Live well and pray well for His glory. 🙏
Today is the most holy blessed day to hollow God's name for giving us His Son Jesus to show us the way for our salvation. Happy birthday dear Lord Jesus. I love you. Merry Christmas Fr. Mike and everyone. Jesus is the reason for this celebration.
So true! I'm still a few days behind, so I'm late wishing you all a Merry Christmas, but on time for wishing y'all a Happy New Year! Thanks to Fr. Mike and the Ascension CIY staff, and to all of you for making this such a wonderful experience. I have learned so much! 🙏❤
Amen to continuing our spiritual learning into the New Year. I started, then gave up on the Bible In A Year. That's when I committed to CIY, which I've stuck with daily. And that a joy it is! On the sixth day, I will attempt to recommit to BIY along with pressing "play" again on CIY, too. My Priest/Spiritual advisor always tells me to fill my down time with those things that deepen my faith. Can't go wrong. Repetition, for me, is vital to commit to memory and put into action the Lord's desires for me.
Thank you Fr Mike for teaching us how to Love Jesus more by understanding what everything means. Praying for you and everyone here and also everyone who makes this possible. God bless🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻
I’ve prayed for you Father every day. I long for people to no longer see me, but only You LordJesus. I think of the Old Testament saints: they did not have the Eucharist, yet their love for the Lord God shines out thru their verses. We have the Holy Eucharist- what a privilege, beyond compare. I long for You each day at Mass my sweet Jesus.
Lord, hound me as the Hound of Heaven. If I flee then follow, beat by beat & step by step, never turning back nor aside. Lord, hunt me as the Hunter astride the stallion. If I hide then seek, ready to pierce my soul with Your flame of Love. That I be consumed by Love for You.🙏❤️
❤ May God bless you with strength in your daily tasks, wisdom in your decisions, favor in your labors and provisions in your daily needs through Christ Our Lord. Amen. 🙏❤🙏
To hallow or make holy the Name of God is above all a prayer of praise that acknowledges God as holy. In fact, God revealed His Holy Name to Moses and wanted his people to be consecrated for Him as a holy nation in which He would dwell. God desires that our baptismal consecration animates our whole life. In addition, it is to ask with our lives and our prayers that the Name of God be known and blessed by everyone. May your Name be glorified, revealed, and loved always.🙏
Greetings! CIY community greetings! " Hallowed be thy name." When we say Hallowed be thy Name, we are not making God's name Holy, we are only acknowledging God as Holy and giving him praise and glory. When we live and pray according to the commandments, God's name is glorified. Let's thank everyone and pray for all to whom we promised to pray. Amen! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Father, may everything that I do this day, whether it be full of joy or pain, whether it be full of love or of grief, I ask that everything I go through today be offered to you just like Jesus offered everything to you. It is in his name we pray. Amen. 12/26/2023.
Praying for you, Fr Mike, and all on CIY and BIY. Thank you to Ascension for bringing this series to us. Thank you Fr Mike for your prayers and teaching, we couldn't do it without you. May God Bless. Claire.
❤May the Lord bless you with comfort, a welcoming peace, a joy that you will experience and immediately want to share with others. May the peace of the Lord be with us all. ❤
First petition - to recognize God as Holy - a petition, a desire, an expectation involving God and man. God revealed his name through creation and then through Abraham, Moses and also through his works. God's name is also his presence and his power. This holy name is fully revealed to us in Jesus in the flesh as Savior, by his word and sacrifice on the ✝️ Cross. As Christians we are to do the same as we're made for that: to reveal Jesus thro' what we say and do. But we fail so often 😔 so we ask for sanctification and mercy, daily. How we live and pray makes God's Name known to all. We are broken, yet blessed, lost yet loved, wandering yet wanted. If we fall, let ourselves be caught by the Good Shepherd. Let HIM hunt us down and bring us 🏠 home. Im praying for us all.😊
Amen 🙏 that was beautiful ❤️ I’m so thankful for the knowledge you pour out to us that have comprehension issues! I know I do lol Merry Christmas 🎄🙏❤️ Thank you Lord Jesus and thank you Father Mike! 🙏❤️🙌

Thank you Father Mike Schmitz and Ascension press and all the people who made this podcast possible. Please say a prayer for the conversion of my homosexual friend who lives in a homosexual relationship, we have been friends since 1999🙏❤♥ he claims to be Catholic 😢 God help us all to be holy, God help us the strength to stay away from a sinful life style. Jesus I trust in You. Thank you

December 26, 2023 Hello! When the Catechism is complete (or maybe even now), consider listening to Saint Faustina’s Diary in a year and/or EWTN Mother Angelica’s Classics to add to your Catholic learning! Oh my goodness so much life guidance in conjunction with Father Mike’s Bible and Catechism in a Year!
So divinely expressed and explained.. Thank you Fr Mike for praying with us through this Seven Petitions.. A Blessed Christmas to everyone and CIY Families and Staff.

It is this name that gives salvation to a lost world. But we ask that this name of God should be hallowed in us through our actions. For God's name is blessed when we live well, but is blasphemed when we live wickedly. As the Apostle says: 'The name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you.' We ask then that, just as the name of God is holy, so we may obtain his holiness in our souls." -Saint Peter Chrysologus We pray always so that God's name is known. And that God's name is loved and glorified hallowed, but it's only going to be hallowed if we live well and pray well. 16:15 We're broken, and yet we're loved, broken and blessed. That is why we do not say expressly 'hallowed be thy name 'in us,'' for we ask that it be so in all men." -from the early Church Father Tertullian This has been an incredible journey. Thank you so much for these daily gifts, Fr. Mike Schmitz, Ascension Presents, the Catechism in a Year Production team, and everyone who offered their spiritual and financial support. Your prayers mean so much. I'm praying for you! Please pray for me. Hope you have a light-filled peaceful good week. We learned about transformation power; in the word: OUR, and the word: HEAVEN/Kingdom, and HALLOWED. The life of Jesus; that you live; is a prayer of being in the state of being...then, the transformation power will speak for itself; its either you are - or you are not. It's as simple as: are you coming or not? You do not need to fast and pray; to answer a simple question like that. It is the state of being; yes to Mary; I'm coming. Or No. No, Mary I'm not coming. The rich young ruler situation. It is sad; but a simple sadness; that is so easy as pie to say, no.

December 13, 2023 Please, do you have just a moment in time to pray for Souls in Purgatory with me? According to tradition, St. Gertrude the Great, was told by Our Lord that each time she piously recited the following prayer, it would release 1,000 souls (or a vast number) from their suffering in purgatory: Eternal Father, I offer You the most precious blood of thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal Church, for those in my own home, and in my family. Amen. In her account of another vision, St. Faustina describes Purgatory as a "great crowd of suffering souls" undergoing purification. Further, she says that the souls are "praying fervently, but to no avail, for themselves; only we can come to their aid" (Diary, 20)
Dawn, thank you for posting this prayer every day. It has become a habit for me now. I also visit the cemetery a couple of days a week after morning Mass, and I pray this prayer. The souls in Purgatory will thank you too!! 🙏❤🙏
How can we reveal the glory of God's creation while our broken family relationships constantly proclaim that creation is not good enough? Abusive sexual relationships, divorce, birth control- these claim what God gave us in Sacramental Marriage is not good enough!

for sinners in the universal Church,
for those in my own home,
and in my family. Amen.

Dawn, thank you for posting this prayer every day. It has become a habit for me now. I also visit the cemetery a couple of days a week after morning Mass, and I pray this prayer. The souls in Purgatory will thank you too!! 🙏❤🙏

The most unbiblical book I have ever read
I"ve been astray and the Lord has never given up on me 🥹
