Yes the song is made to be a good feel and fun song, inspired heavy by Jerry lee lewis, and general 50s or 60s vibes. Volbeat have always been inspired by Metallica, Elvis and Johnny cash for example, on the latest album there is a few songs where you hear this Jerry lee lewis vibe as well, with that said i do feel Volbeat still keep their own sound even they got several inspiration sources, they also made quite a few songs with guest vocals over the years.
U earned my like after you told how u felt about people like and so on. I like you! Turn down your energy by 20% in the introductions :)and u will be great! Great. ! ;) im from Denmark so i know Volbeat well. Try still counting by Volbeat, its in the higher pich and will suit you well sir. I wish you a Marry christmas and a happy new year, and a good health :) :)
Yeah, like everyone else is saying. You should really check out clutch. Glad you liked the song. I love it, its for me the perfect match of old school rockabilly, punk and nonsense rock and roll
Got into the litter-box playlist! 😄The song actually has been played live a good number of times, and with piano and sax coming up on a lift. The score's higher than I expected, like a full point higher, since as you said there's really nothing complex or impressive in this. But it is a fun one and shows another aspect of Volbeat. I like your description of the blended styles because I was mostly thinking of the 50s or maybe early 60s connection. This is the first of (I think) just two Volbeat songs for which I requested an 'Official' video, and of course Ian requested one for The Devil's Bleeding Crown. In the case of this one, I just like the focus on the band, and guests.
Like someone has already said, Neil is from the band Clutch. They have been arond for over 30 years now and still cranking out music to this day.
Neil´s voice works so well with Volbeat.

Leave it to Volbeat to have piano and sax in a metal song. 👍
