Dude.... I can't belive I just discovered your channel. You post such useful content. This is exactly what I've been looking for for so long! Thank you!
Bonjour Stijn Wauters, merci pour ce travail de haute qualité !!, bien à toi !!, Hello Stijn Wauters, thank you for this high quality work !!, best regards !!
Great - excellent didactics - video. When I started playing the tune with my trio few months ago, I came up with very comparable voicings. One difference: I use the #11 in measures 4 and 8 as melody tone (on the Bb7 and the Eb7); for some reason 50% seem to play it with #11, 50% with the F and the Bb
Amazing as each of your video. Clean, In-depth information, with exhaustive exemples.... thank you a million times for your efforts and giving us all this fantastic knowledge for free.
Words fail me. I'm on vacation this week and set a target of 3 hours a day on piano. It's been moving further up each day, to about 6 hours a day, because I keep finding wonderful things to practice, and this is definitely one of them. (I sure do talk a lot for somebody who says words fail him.)
Me encanta todo lo que haces. Solo hecho en falta un vídeo sobre cómo utilizar el pedal sustain en un standard de jazz. Puedes hacer algo así algún dïa. Gracias!!!
Bonjour Stinj. Thanks for your vidéos. Je travaille tous les jours vos cours. C'est un vrai plaisir ! Merci ! J'essaie d'appliquer vos concepts sur plein de morceaux. Vraiment amazing quand un morceau est joué de plein de manières différentes. Someday my prince will come, ça vous dirait !? Musicalement
Quiero agradecerte tus lecciones, llenas de calidad, rigor y claridad expositiva. Eres uno de los más completos y cualificados músicos y profesores en la Red. Quería también saber si puedes ampliar un poco
Thanks for the tutorial it really helped a lot (especially that I just joined jazz club),and I really want to learn “It don’t mean a thing” comping could you do a tutorial of it? Tkx in advance !
Could you do a tutorial on Tune Up like you did on Sandu with the bassline and everything? And tell me how I can at least buy you a coffee? Also, I hate to ask, but a video on playing fast? Tune suggestions? Thanks!
Hi! Thank you for a great lesson. I have a question - why in first part of melody there is end of phrase have resolutions “f” instead of “e” and in second phrase “bB” instead of “a”? It’s because of open voicing chords?
You are the best music educator on you tube. Incredible.
Revisiting this. So grateful for your lessons. I’ve probably said it before, but it’s a real gift 🙏 thank you
THANK YOU SENSEI, YOU NEVER DISAPPOINT
