You have a good understanding of the new Sym; however, from what I've consistently seen in your games is your lack of predicting and leading your right clicks. In contrast, what makes you different and higher skilled than other Symmetra players is your knowledge of her kit and how to utilize it. Understanding where certain characters will be in the beginning of the map, based on the map and knowing what traditional team comps are run on that map, can lead to an early pick by placing all three turrets in a flank position. ie, Widow will go to a certain high-ground area and knowing that she'll go there at the beginning of the match can lead to an easy 6v5 advantage. You knowing these 200 IQ plays puts you above others because you have map awareness and situational awareness, as well as kit experience. I do feel your mechanical skill, while at a GM level (I'm a GM sym as well), it could be better by honing your right click player placement predictions and leading. 4:45 in this video is an example of a w+m1 junkrat coming to point, his movement could have been predicted and your right click could have been lead better. (4:58) Good shit overall, sorry to backseat game! Just wanted to give constructive criticism, not just criticize! I did subscribe, great shit man!
What I do to warm Sym's mechanical skill up is jump into practice mode and practice left click tracking, then practice leading from short range, then medium range. After that's warmed up, I go into a bot match by myself to practice my leading better, then I'm usually ready after a single match for comp.
Hey Stevo, I recorded this match for you showing my mechanical skill in a FFA, could you watch it and tell me what you think? In my honest and humble opinion, Symmetra isn't 100% about mechanical skill, she's more about the utility through coordination she offers teams. Me showing myself fragging out only shows that mechanical skill and doesn't reflect my ability to coordinate with my team, enabling them to engage and disengage. Tell me what you think although please! haha :P ruclips.net/video/dChbRPMzvbY/видео.html
Hmm as you said Symm is more about utility than actual mechanical skill, so I wouldn't sweat about it if I were Stevo. But what I've noticed is that despite being a Symm main with lots of experience he tends to miss and misplace a lot of his turrets and walls which is confusing to me.
The barrier only covers 94% of the map, so Sym gets a refund for any walls, floors, etc that are intersected by it. It's a math thing, you wouldn't know about that! :P
Tip for sym players: when a dva is de-meching if there is more of her team mates near by then you should charge your beam on her mech during the animation and once she is de-meched then you should charge up a secondary fire shot and melee combo to finish her
That was a bug that was mostly fixed. Mostly. Everytime a teleport poofs due to geometry glitches though, it reports such errors to the dev team, so they get a heat map on what areas need some attention. It just takes a while to get it sorted, as they have a hamster to train. (Have you ever tried motion capture on a hamster? It's a nightmare...)
this isn't even a troll comment or anything, but does stevo main literally anyone else? Does he play sym mainly for his stream? Is he really good at anyone else? Is he better at new sym or old sym? i have so many questions for this little sym boi
Seeing someone who plays such a low skill hero try to brag about how good he is when he doesn't even have the awareness to get the map name right is hilarious.
Symmetra had a wonky skill curve.. she was OP at noob and gm levels, but weak in the middle. But the real issue is that Sym 2.0 didn't have any synergy with the rest of the roster. She was a support with the skillset of a flanker, but lacking the moveset. Most of the time it was 5+1 vs 6, and while her nests were deathtraps, it only worked if you didn't know it was there.
Steve this is Anubis not Hanamura
I thought they only Reworked Horizon... Glad to see an Hanamura update too. Looks too much like temple of Anubis tho
Wow hanamura got a serious update. It looks way different.
E-train ! I just realized Lol
I didnt even notice untill i read this comment
E-train ! On ptr or live? Ptr, right?
I am so retarded nvm
Mike Canion LMAO youre fine
A Widow that jumps on point to help their Sym? The stuff of legend.
"nOw sYmM mAiNs WilL sTaRt dErAnKiNg"
woah, Hanamura was reworked? It looks so egyptian now!

Graham sometimes I can land those shots really well but other times not I think it will just come with practice

Graham You do realize Steve is GM, if not top 500 player right?

It's only me or hanamura looks weird?
That giggle after the first round was so pure and funny! 😂
You're insane stevooo, always watching your videos and trying to turn me into a monster like you hahahha. Thanks dude
i think the brig's ult is almost ready
Loved what they did to Hanamura!
Look at 8:55, his ult only consumed 94%, he had 6% ult charge remaining
Interesting Bug :D
Noah Dejanovic g
Noah Dejanovic probably because of turrets
Leo Wunderli But you can't get your ult charged, while it is till active
Noah Dejanovic no you can't, sym's ult while active you cannot charge for a second one
The barrier only covers 94% of the map, so Sym gets a refund for any walls, floors, etc that are intersected by it.

Since sym is the queen of gays blizzard needs to add something related to wigs as voice line
eisa alaskar stop.
Can you imagine her slaying somebody and going "snatched"? Hahahahah, that would be great
wig
How about no.
Meowri How about you enjoy your underaged neko animu girls & let us enjoy wigs?
I literally searched through the video to find the Hanamura rework because I thought you guys weren’t kidding
Kinda wish you played on Temple of Anubis I like that map WAY better
Man I'm still finding it hard to be consistent with new sym I spent so much time on the old one I just play moira now
Symm got buffed today on the PTR, beam range from 10 to 12 meters
What was that Zarya voiceline at the start about somebody's birthday? I haven't heard it before and couldn't quite make it or the reply out properly
Tip for sym players: when a dva is de-meching if there is more of her team mates near by then you should charge your beam on her mech during the animation and once she is de-meched then you should charge up a secondary fire shot and melee combo to finish her
That very long silence at the near beginning.
wrong name steve
I have a question. Does using the tp at the beginning to get to the point you're defending and set up actually make you faster?
obviously? like thats very easy to test, just place the tp and see how you’re further than your teammates
Dude, I do have my interact key bound, and it still tells me sometimes that it's not. I have no idea why.
I don't get it; the game auto-bound my interact key both on the PTR and in-game
My teleporter is online
I'm pretty sure even after Stevo's 2 week sabbatical, his teammates still won't have the interact key bound..
She got a buff in the rang now it's 12 meters in the beam
loving the hanamura rework, reminds me of another map though, cant place my finger on it...
Think it's Nepal.
omg these orb hits are fucking stellar
Stevo got his 2nd ult in about 40 seconds on point 2
/insert title joke here/
Do us think sym will get another rework
Symmetra 3.0 is my favorite hero, especially now with the Torb rework
TP dies if it's right next to ledges, cars or thresholds from spawn I think (the placement TP)

damn i never thought of those flanks for hanamura
Symmetra is so beautiful & underrated.
New symm is a goddes !!
I honestly don't blame you for screwing up the title all the 2 CP maps are the same. Vollsca is just a reskined hanmura.
Wait how did that guy pronounce Brigitte? Brigeetey?
Hanamura map rework
i love daddy's commentary
The turrets are so strong in gm?!?!
Great meme (look at the title)
I'm reporting you for *snatching* my wig. 😩😭😭
WP !!
Rein has 50% health.....REINHEART ONE!!!
this isn't even a troll comment or anything, but does stevo main literally anyone else? Does he play sym mainly for his stream? Is he really good at anyone else? Is he better at new sym or old sym?
i have so many questions for this little sym boi
Evan D
Well, thats the definition of a one trick. He is amazing at sym but bad at others. He wont play any other characters.
He's been seen by other streamers to throw matches if he cant play Sym.
I think he plays moira and bastion too, he doesnt throw, he just doesn't do as well lol
+Vanilla Overdose
I've legitimately watched videos of him throwing and refusing to teamchat before, he's no angel.
Vanilla 3.0 prove it
Buff the beam
Hanamura, Egypt.
I really didn't like you when you first started making videos/streaming, but through the months you've changed and for the better. Keep it up man.
La Tui why ?
20k on the dawt. Nice.
Wow hanamura looks different
You need to use the primary fire more
Why does it show that you’re in bronze
Fucking GOD SYM 💙
Your mic sucked in this one. Just thought you needed to be reminded.
This video has been demonetized for the moan.
Ok I go pee now xD
Aimbot :3
hanamura 2.0
Stevo sounds hot af!!
Hili You look hot af in that picture!
Thank you Gabe!
