Ok weird idea. What if Symmetra had a passive skill that gives all teammates around her an extra 50 shields as long as they were in a 15m radius of her. And her ultimate could swap between a teleporter and an ult i dubbed "Hard Light Matrix" where she gives everyone on her team another 50 shields and increases the rate at which the shields regenerate by 25% for 6s
1) are you living in the ana release patch? Sym already has a shield gen. 2) why would they buff sym? Shes easy to kill & useless in higher sr ranges, and buffing her will only make it worse for the bronze players since they are basically helpless if you watched any sym main do a bronze->gm series. Also, her shield gen gives 75 shields and regens like all other shields.
ShinyInfernape 7 brigette doesnt heal much, shes lucio with a 4 sec pocket sand, melee, and a burst heal. Dont forget she doesnt heal in a radius out of combat so your team will either heal off of payload or hp packs after a win.
The point of the shield gen is appeasement At anything below GM the TP is the better choice because people are still going to die and giving them a faster return time is pretty much always better. However you'll see a lot of people that are still playing the game put down Shield gens because otherwise their teammates don't even realize the ult is up. On top of that this game was a clusterfuck with 3 supports, 2 DPS, and 1 tank. The DPS's weren't outputting and the tanks couldn't put a stop to flankers. The shield gen got destroyed more often because it was getting noticed by the enemy team far too often. Shield gen was being used because for the few moments it was up it could provide a benefit and it still forced enemy team members to flank heavy to get it. Shield gen is just a way of adding an extra tank to your team, teleporter is more useful but in these situations shield gen has to be used.
Eh I agree, if you have a remotely competent healer, especially alongside a Torb for arbor, I think it's a good combo even at higher SR. At the end of the day the highest SR are going to get TP or shield gen either way and lower SR most likely wont
Shield gen is way more powerful and versatile than teleporter, if you look at the overbuffs for most GM syms you will see very low AVG tp per game, in s7 I remember most of top 20 syms across platforms had ~3 AVG teleported per game. Shield gen is the way
Burst damage carries and all the damage interactions are super finely tuned. Even the old 50 shield E ability was enough to make her meta in the PRO scene back in the day. Brig meta now is mostly BC of her armour Buffing not healing..

Sym, Moira, and Winston are easy to counter unless you’re a Genji main. Even then, a good Genji can easily avoid dying to them because they either have low range, or low damage. They are so easy to deal with, is all.
I think a good little buff for Sym would be to make her orbs charge her gun. The surprise and stealth kills would be much easier and she’d have an easier time on attack as a flanker.
sammy elder are you crazy? The problem with sym rn is that her gun charges too fast and keeps charge for too long between targets, and so does too much damage. The thing keeping her from being outright broken is that her gun takes at least a bit of time to charge. If you could just charge up before a fight then go in with a full charge, it would be ridiculous.
By the way +just stevo at the end when you told everyone to stay on cart. Not always the best idea. I get why you wanted everyone on cart, but say you have a D-va or Lucio, they can help boop. I mean there was 10 seconds left. I've won a LOT of rounds with a boop on Lucio that definitely would have touched to send to OT. In fact I always tell everyone else to stay on cart so that we still have 3 pushing so I can push forward for a boop when we get a team wipe and are near the end of the destination
