Super helpful video, thank you! I followed step by step and everything fit great (for the most part). My Neotec II was made in 2018 so it didn’t have a big enough slot to fit the microphone. However, I was able to cut a small bit out of the plastic with a soldering iron so it now sits comfortably. For those not uncomfortable with making a slight modification to the plastic, you can still fit this to an older Neotec II.
Most of it was pretty straight-forward but i wasn't grasping the antenna concept, even looking at Sena's installation diagrams. Your video helped me to figure it out so much thanks. And ride safe!
Nice job with this tutorial. I appreciate your straightforward, matter-of-fact style, and feel confident after watching this that I'll be able to install the same system into my new Shoei Notch II helmet.
I spent all weekend trying to get this SRL Mesh into my Shoei GT Air II. No success. Your video helped by showing the antennae installation and I will give it another shot before returning the unit.
Just fitted this kit to my gt-air2. Absolute pain in the arse getting the mesh antennae inserted into the lid. Trying to cram it in on the left side was a nightmare as it just wouldn’t go between the inner and outer lid layers. Got it in there in the end though the wires got in the way of the cheek pads…. Faffed about but managed it in the end….
Thanks for the video, it is very useful. How is the audio quality of the mic? Can the others hear you well? Does it work with Cardo system? Can you use it to record audio on your phone?
thanks for the install video, I wasn't sure about getting this unit for mostly music since I don't really make calls while riding and since its kinda pricey but I think its almost a shame not to get it when the helmet was designed so perfectly to incorporate it. Plus, I don't really like when helmets have the little Bluetooth jawbone device, seems super dated and too much like cab drivers who always have an ear piece in haha

@@adrade1854 thanks. Glad the video was a help.
Your video was the only one I found that showed the FM antenna installation. I must have watch 10 before finding yours. It was so helpful, thank you!
What I'm trying to tell you is "it comes with some recycling". GOLD
Thanks from Australia mate!
Thanks for creating this. Good to know I don’t need the Shoei tool to complete the install.
Thanks so much. I was looking for the non-existent installation instructions. You saved my day!
Cheers
Glad it helped.

Great video Mate. I could not have installed my system without your video explanation. Well done and thanks. Cooee from Australia. Ride safe.
Nice video. Good explanations. Done just as most of us will install it in the helmet.
By far the best installation tutorial - thank you
Thank you for very straightforward installation tips!

Great tutorial!

Can you use it to record audio on your phone?
Sound quality after the faff of install is impressive though :).
Thank You very much bro
You are welcome my dude

New phones and other devices require updates for compatibility and occasionally a new feature or two could be nice
How did you get those cheek pads on so easily? I have been trying for like an hour and cannot for the life of me get them fitted
Start at the back or rear most mounting point and go forward.
@@ontwowheels6479 Yeah, I finally got it after trying that method for about an hour.. I dunno why, it was very stubborn!
Does siri work with the sena?
It does. I don’t know how to activate Siri from the headset but if I activate Siri from my phone I can say stuff like play music and it works.
I went to Sena Motorcycles and it said the web site is no longer available?
There is a tool in the box when you purchased the helmet.
Does this work with first generation Neotech II?
I do not know.
My Helmet Sena unit does not have that dongle, it just uses a micro usb.
Interesting. Is it a different model?
@@ontwowheels6479 I've had it for 3 years perhaps that dongle is an addition or revision.
Any advice on how to make the right padding fight tightly under the rim of the helmet? Thanks for the great tutorial.
