This was another guitar that I just couldn’t put down… it’s an outstanding modern instrument with traditional flamenco DNA. The sound has a brilliance to it; it’s loud and resonant (it’s even louder than my Conde Hermanos 1a). As such, it’s very easy to play, everything sounds good on it! It's super responsive and sounds amazing when pushed. I would recommend this guitar to someone who: - Loves that traditional blanca tone but wants modern playability, volume, and versatility. Someone who loves a modern / minimalist aesthetic. People who want to support ‘rising star’ guitar luthiers. I wouldn’t recommend this guitar to someone who: - Loves more traditional rosettes. Someone who leans more towards the well-rounded basses of a negra.
Hi Muhamad! Honestly, there is so much choice at this price range that it really just depends on your preferences. You'll want to try a bunch of guitars out and see what feels best in your hands and sounds best to your ears. Diego always has good blancas coming into his store, so have a look here: reverb.com/uk/shop/diegos-gear-garage-106
Hey Chris, great to hear from you mate 😁 yeah I have big hands so larger guitars fit me better 😅 650 is a bit small for me but 660 fits me well. Thanks for checking the video out, glad to hear you enjoyed it 🙏
Hey Francis - I'm on the market for flamenco blanca; that review here you did, is "site unseen" what I'm looking for, I just left a message for Diego hope I can find Victor Quintanilla Blanca, Alternatively, do you know of anything somewhat similar that you'd recommend that is blanca tone but wants modern playability, easy to play on, low action, nice attack, and won't break the bank? I was also thinking about the MARLON (FRANCISCO) NAVARRO FLAMENCO BLANCA but this Victor Quintanilla Blanca review looks/sounds much more what I'm looking for ( also the MARLON looks bigger than I might like) - any comment from you would be appreciated Thanks, Omri
Hi Omri! Yes contacting Diego is your best bet, he has guitars coming in all the time. He actually has some quite nice blancas in stock now, I don't know if you checked them out? If you have the money then I would suggest waiting until you come across one of Victor's guitars. It is definitely worth waiting to get the guitar that you want. The Marlon Navarro that I owned was actually smaller than the Quintanilla's. The reason I sold it was actually because it was too small for me, the Quintanilla's are a good size though. Diego has a Francisco Navarro blanca in stock now, just so make you aware. As I always tell people, the 'right' guitar is always personal preference. Navarro guitars are fantastic but if it was me who had to choose, I would wait and get a Quintanilla. Hope this helps! Let me know what you end up doing 😁
Nice! I also noticed what seemed to be a small, clear "golpeador" just behind the bridge...to protect the wood behind the bridge from getting scratched during string changes? Perhaps it never caught my eye before, but I have never noticed that on other guitars I've seen. Nice idea if there is one. Also, not a bad idea for any classical or flamenco guitar. Unless, of course, you're Willie Nelson.😀
That's a great point, Patrick! I wish I would have mentioned that in the video because I love that feature.... it saves you scratching up the wood during string changes. You can apply this yourself to your guitars, if you like it. You can buy the adhesive golpeador separate, cut it to shape, and stick it where you want. I've done this before. Thanks a lot for watching and commenting mate 🙏🏻
Perhaps it's more of a Sirtaki guitar than Flamenco, hence the Greek rosette. :) Since I'm only seeing it online, like you did before, it doesn't have a wow factor for me, either. More of a electric guy, myself, too. However, I loved what you played on it.
Maybe that is where Víctor got his inspiration from!! 😁 It's definitely unique!! Yeah I wasn't super impressed from the photos but in person it definitely has a vibe... but maybe it just plays so nicely I can't help but like it now 😅 Really glad to hear you enjoyed the playing 🤘 thanks for saying! 🙏🏻
Hola amigo, sí, el estuche de la guitarra es de una marca llamada JW Eastman. De todos los casos que he visto, estos son los mejores. ¡Pero son caros! www.jw-eastman.com/products/37.html

@@FrancisGrant1 I did, but I'm looking for the 1500$ range - so still on the hunt for the best ROI blanca.
Wow nice man that is nice model

That rosette tho. Sounds awesome too
Yashhhhh, my friend, good to hear from you mate! Glad you enjoyed this guitar. Thanks for checking this out man and I hope you keeping well
I have a 2012 negra with same rosette from Victor :)
Awesome! I absolutely love Victor's guitars, one day I want to add one to my collection. I still think a lot about this guitar
