Lex, there is a published hypothesis that the biggest revolution in human development was the invention of recursive syntax in language and possibly what caused a cultural revolution around 60-50kya in humans. But whether this innovation in language was itself a product of some change in brain function/chemistry is another matter of debate. Thanks for your great and unbiased interviews!

I like Hancock, but I think his attribution of value to numbers due to association with precession does not pass my Occam's Razor test.
    "108 is special because its 72 plus 36" is complicated; " 108 is special because it's 1¹ x 2² x 3³ " is simple and elegant.
" 72 is special because it's 72 years per degree of precession" is clunky; "72 is special because it's ⅕ of 360°" is simple and elegant.

Absolutely correct, it’s the role of a scientist to try to prove a hypothesis is incorrect. Hancock dreams up creation stories disregarding well known facts, packages them up and flogs them off to ignorant marks to enrich himself. His assumption that some globe spanning ancient civilisation exported technology all over the world is ridiculous. His evidence is Stone Age people used stone to build with all over the world, people had these mysterious handbags all over the world. A water bag is hardly bloody mysterious it was a necessity pre bottled water, every other car in Australia had one hanging from its roo bar in the 1970’s. Oh and I made mention of Australia, a continent that was unaffected by the younger dryas and was ice free when the northern hemisphere was under glaciers. Australia a country inhabited for at least 85,000 years was completely neglected by this incredible all powerful ancient civilisation. Perhaps it’s because all his constellation mumbo jumbo is totally irrelevant in the southern hemisphere. Or perhaps the Australian indigenous people didn’t count up to 72 as they had no use for such nonsense. Hancock reiterates ad nauseam that this civilisation was the reason stone megastructures were built all around the world without referencing the fact that these structures were constructed over thousands of years and thousands of years after his all mighty younger dryas. These structures are not contemporary with each other, Gobekli Tepe is 9,000 years old and the Easter Island statues are only hundreds of years old. This bloke gets more airtime than noble winners, when all he deserves is to be told to F off . If he lived a hundred and fifty years ago he would selling snake oil out the back of a wagon to the ancestors of all the fools he has conned today.
