I don't think people who haven't played the game will really understand, but the feeling of seeing those other worlds and the reveal of the celestial realm was unlike anything I've ever experienced playing through a game before. It cemented the game as being one of my favorites.

Bravely Default (and Second as well) is one of the few games that I've played so it's not like I have very much of a comparison but this game is truly astonishing. Just keeps on giving, including more and more shocking surprises. I'm the kind of guy that watches a movie being consistently fully aware that "meh, it's just a movie, whatever" but this game really touches my heart and it was hard to get out of the mindset this game puts me in the few times I've finished it already. It does seem like the true (possibly unspoken) hero of the entire story is Alternis after all. In World 6 after the love of his life passed in front of his eyes he jumped into the great chasm (possibly after Airy to avenge Edea?) and seemingly thanks to his addition to the group the tasks ahead - especially the final battle - became realizable. I also like how they ever so slightly kept on implying that there is always a might that will persist and eventually succeed *no matter what* and no matter how frightening and powerful the opponent may seem and that might are you yourself. No matter how often the bosses regenerate, no matter how impossible tasks seem, as long as you keep trying you are bound to succeed, you are the soul that gives Tiz life after all. As I said I don't really have any comparison but I'm simply astonished at the amazing story that this game delivers. I felt the same way about Bravely Second in the long run even though there are some things I don't like about it as much, at the end it managed to completely amaze me (especially one of the final moments when Agnes comes to Tiz's aid, what an amazing transition). I sound like a total nerd writing this but it's as simple as that: I'm convinced at this point that there'll be a distant day in decades when I'll take some time every day or every other day to unwind and play through the game again, enjoying it to the fullest.

But Ouroboros describes it as "a great civilization. It is prosperous, full of love, beneficent, reverential, and orderly. It knows no war or strife. There is no greater bore. No duller prison." ...Yeah, I dunno about that. If the Celestial Realm was such a blissful place at some point, its own inhabitants have now turned it into a hell Ouroboros might be proud of. Still, though...some of us are really waking up.
I really liked the game's intense finale. After recrossing over Luxendarc five times over eight chapters and spending numerous hours getting everything, it was an epic climax. I just loved the music from the Dark Aurora and the Ouroboros battle. My playtime was over a hundred hours by then and I had colleted every asterisks and was finally at level 99 with the gear from that Dimension's Hasp and much stronger. But I must admit it was a really really long way. I loved this game from start to finish but I don't recommend that game to people who can't stand repetitive gameplay.
This boss becomes less and less intelligible the stronger he becomes. At some point, they pitched his voice down so much that it sounds more like bowel movements than an actual voice.
He's (most likely) maxed out the levels on his jobs and exp, playing on New Game+ with the best weapons in the game. I know he's using the Valkyrie job (High Jump) and probably wearing the Plain Tunic.
You know...even after everything she did, seeing Airy miserably and pitifully begging her illustrious "boss" for help was so pathetic that I was almost willing to spare her wretched little life. But then, of course, she had to attack me again and use up my last ounce of pity.
Thanks for posting this, could not beat the last boss despite breezing through the rest of the game, I rarely come across such an infuriating boss that I just choose not to try anymore, seems you gotta hard core cheese this one to win, not how I wanna play my games.
Dick Gori in my first playthrough I had Agnes as a spiritmaster and everyone else a physical fighter with conjuror as secondary ability so I could buff their crit rates and won that way. It was a little hard but not impossible
on my first playthrough : I used tiz as dark knight main + merchant. Brave 3 times. dark bane/minus strikes depends - Buy Bp (bp drink) for tiz - Bp drink for Agnez. Repeat. Edea - knight and templar. Default - fully protect - protect ally - rampart. sometimes heals with item. Agnes. Black mage main. Time mage. The only damage maker. Brave three times (gets bp from tiz) - comet three times. 9999/hit Ringabel - white mage main and then salve maker. First get everyone hp double with beast liver + dragon fang. and then heals everyturn or needed. Attack with dragon breath (dragon fang + dragon fang) if hp >10.000. Be patience. Even at 99 all job max it's damn difficult.
So Tiz says he'll be at the feast in a minute, goes to the graveyard and drops dead, then we cut to after the party with Agnes and Edea walking by and laughing it up. Nobody thought to look for Tiz when he didn't show up to the party that was partly for him? Nobody was bothered at all by that? They just went ahead and had fun without it entering their minds?
It's simply the game's way, though badly executed to be honest, to foreshadow its sequel (it's often the case when a protagonist suddenly "die" out of nowhere in fiction) though nothing says the dev's intented to link Tiz's death to Bravely Second at the start of its development (or maybe there's something, never really looked into it personally, there's might be some interviews of stuff). Even though it's a bit sad they don't go into details about the others when they discover his body : /

Without a soul his body went on a coma. It is implied that a celestial soul, our will as the player that’s what keeps him going. Depressing isn’t it, if you play bravely second you’ll understand more.
@@Yakubi I wonder when he realized he possibly died. This reminded me of Tidus from FFX. It was a brilliant way to break the fourth wall, with us being the will of Tiz until this ending happened. I am glad they followed up, and gave him closure though.
+the fastest link All you have to do to get the true ending is follow the yellow markers. No Sidequests are required. Neither are for the false ending, but you need to think for yourself how to reach that. You never lock out of it though, it can even be accessed after clearing the true ending.

Airy is trying to bring him into the world the entire time and is ruthlessly using the party and killing them in every single world the Crystals are awakened within. This is why AIry looks worse than Ouroboros.

I believe it takes a priority for the scenes, friends first, then streetpasses, and lastly friendbot. Should always show some scenes, just not of actual people.

The Fairy you saw at the beginning of the game is Anne, she had you guys stop Airy because Airy's plans conflicted with hers, and in Bravely Second she tells you that, as to what that plan is, play Bravely Second (Not Bravely Default 2) to find out...
That's Anne... You'll deal with her in Bravely Second Both Airy and Anne are bad news, Anne isn't as such a pain as Airy is/was. In fact Anne is a cakewalk.
Yeah so.. thank you for having posted the ending. I really liked this game at first but it just became so boring everytime the game went "WOW IT DIDN'T WORK WHO WOULD HAVE GUESSED!" and you'd have to beat the same bosses again and AGAIN. And with how the last bosses were incredibly difficult and the end not being that satisfying.. I'm really happy to have stop trying and just went on RUclips to find the end... I'm really disappointed by this game...

It was an extreme drag after chapter 4, and the story never was that interesting imo (wanted to quit after chapter 2, but since people said it's important to play this one before Bravely Second, which apparently has better gameplay, tried to keep going 'till gave up on chapter 7), really thought at least the ending would be nice, but alas, the only thing that didn't disappoint me was the soundtrack

I really wanted to like this game but I just had to drop it. It was so repetitive already in chapter 2 and after checking online I learned that it only gets worse. Once again Square-Enix not living up to Squaresoft´s legacy. What a shame.
I actually really liked the game to start but I found it very unfriendly for a portable device. So much grinding job levels and time spent in menus to make sure characters have the right abilities and passives. I play the game for maybe 10 minutes at a time but that isn't enough to prepare sometimes or even do some of the bosses. I feel like it was a good game with a good story but very, VERY portable unfriendly.
