0:38 - 0:39: there's this fraction of a second where Mark looks at the camera and then back to the tv, obviously feeling quite uncomfortable - it sums him up completely really, only one of the many reasons why David Mitchell is so brilliant as Mark... Well, that, and "buy chickpeas, sell gold". Words to live by, surely.
True, he was probably better off channeling Alpha Papa than Peter O'hanraha-hanrahan. He not only lost the news, but would have likely lost the box full of chickpea gold, as well.
You'd think Mark would get Jez (or Jez would beg him) to use his music in this and there'd be a huge (mandatory) credit at the end. Also, I like to think Mark is hiding some oddball or unprofessional item underneath that massive newspaper at the kitchen table at 1:10.
Heh, modern job recruitment is bullshit either way. You're almost expected to 'cheat' on your CV and 'blow your own horn' to ridiculous proportions. I mean, just hire good guys who have qualifications (or willing to learn them on the job). Hiring someone based on how egoistic they are is just.. Funny. You're guaranteed to get mostly annoying assholes if you us typical recruiting tactics. Corrigan makes a great point on this. Comedy genius
So Mr Corrigan, I saw your video CV, just wanted to pick your brain about it. Would you say you were more inspired by Alan Partridge, or were you going for more of a David Brent feel overall?
haha! i really love the characters! ive not seen any of series 4 yet but i really love series 1-3! its like final fantasy 7 to me! haha! you end up really loving the characters! i really like superhans too! he makes me laugh alot! XD
@@DrW83 16 year old comment! Haha! I certainly have. What a great show. I was left a little empty by the way peep show ended though. I hoped to at least leave the characters in a happier place!
@derangedband just messing... you'll see more jokes like this if you hire me! Yeah I know what you mean about the empty feeling. I've rewatched random episodes over and over since it ended. I just wish there was more.
episode 2 was good! hahaha that was even funnier--although poor sophie shes gone mental! its quite wierd how messed up they made her look! i wonder where it will go! :D long live peep show!
Actually Curriculum Vitae is Latin (obviously) but the influence in English, at least British English, is French (which in itself developed from Latin) due mainly to the Norman conquest. As for the video, I'm beginning to like the Peep Show more and more, some of it is upfront comedy, but read into it a bit and there's plenty of meat to be had so to speak ;p
It's the thought of Jeremy filming all this that really gets me :D
Mark definitely paid Jeremy £20 to film this for him
mark had to pay Jeremy £20 to film this for him
The deal was Jeremy has to film this, and Mark has to perform in the music video for Jeremy's "I'm Dangerous" track
The number of times I’ve thought about doing a video CV and bottled out. Reckon this has finally put that idea out of its misery once and for all.
I did one. It was super cringe. I'm glad those days are behind me.
This is gold!
Or should I say chickpeas....😂
Tickety-boo!
Depends whether or not there's a crisis!
i love when he awkwardly laughs and says "that was funny"
i found it funny.
did you laugh and say those words the same way he did?

1:01 "This little beauty could be worth a fortune." So that's when he discovered farming! :-D
"It's fucken' wool"
"Eggs come out their arse"
XD
Brilliant use of character. But I bet Mark never summed up the courage to post the video.
I bet he did but added some love note on the suggestion of Jeremy and then regretted it! Then contacted every company to explain the situation 😂

Mark Corrigan knows where the box is.
Truer words have never been spoken.

Except if you have gold you can buy chicken peas
I think so far outside of the box I don't now where the box is. But I do...know where the box is.
This is so cringey is made me feel physicall ill. Class.
Mark is channeling a young Alan Partridge here. Would've loved to have seen the 2 of them in a crossover
True, he was probably better off channeling Alpha Papa than Peter O'hanraha-hanrahan. He not only lost the news, but would have likely lost the box full of chickpea gold, as well.
Partridge wants to rebuild Peartree productions and get involved in NFTs. He is looking for a business stud. He would definitely ask for a video C.V.
"hold on guys....I'm starting to blush..." hilarious... god peep show rules

Probably Jez's weed and paraphernalia
This is so disheartening. I know it's just a character. I hope this character finds a job.
hire this man!
I can't believe I didn't see this sooner! Amazing...
Peep Show is the best thing to happen to British comedy in recent years, with the possible exeption of The Office.
14 years ago!.... you were there, living it as you wrote. All the while my heart weeps in rememberance.
An honorable man
SEVEN GCSEs Jeremy, that's insane.
"... and i don't mean studs on football boots... i mean sexual studs was the joke that was made" LOL
It's the best extra ever. Ever!
I mean I would hire him, seems like a fun guy to have around the office
"oh hi, it's you again!" haha, typical of his character. this is fucking brill.
