My favorite go to treat includes coconut. There are three versions of coconut candies in Mexico. The white squared/sliced with a pink coloring on top. The tri-color which are Banderitas or "flags", they come in green, white and red like our Mexican flag and the ones that look like these macaroons, sticky, chewy and very dark orange. The two last are my favorite. I love chocolate covered macaroons too and been wanting to make them. Thank You for the recipe.
Hello I just made these and OMG lawd have mercy!!!! These things are to die for... I love it n will be making these for Christmas gifts Lol thanks for the easy recipe
Tricia Parker no I use milk chocolate on some and left the others plain and my husband loved them both ways. but I think if you do use it will balance the sweetness
You put whole eggs in the mixture. Does it really matter if whole eggs or just egg whites are put in the macaroon? I am guessing if one uses just egg whites the texture of macaroon will be quite soft which is the one variation of a macaroon. What about cream of tartar? Are you related to Steve Jaworski? Former QB from 1970s and 1980s Philadelphia Eagles.
I find this recipe of macaroons more easy and less time consuming than your other recipe of macaroons as it contains whole eggs, not just the egg whites and no need to refrigerate the batter before baking.
I made it. It was good but got stuck to the parchment sheet. Used two sheets brushed the tray as well as the parchment sheet. what could have gone wrong?
I've never tried this recipe using fresh coconut, I always use dried. So maybe there was too much moisture in the fresh which would cause the batter to be a little runny.

I tried ur coconut macaroons, they were so yummy and soft. Was really good.
Is it because u didn't use flour in this one?
Ugh My favorite snack to eat when hungry ☺
Yes, you could use desiccated coconut.
I 'm in love with this kind of cookies.
Very nice 👌

Delicious, even with a burnt bottom!
Hi, you have another recipe with just the plain macaroons but you used only egg whites? what's the difference with the whole eggs? thanks
thanks good demostration video!
Just made this, oh boy delish
just finished baking these and they taste better than store bought!
If the mixture sits too long you might need to stir it again before forming the cookies.
Stephanie, are related to Steve Jawarski, former QB of Philadelphia Eagles in the 1970s and early 1980s?
Mine are baking NOW I have high expectations from reading all the comments
Can I use unsweetened coconut instead of sweetened? Will they be just as good?
How long does does it take for the chocolate to set up? Is it best to use chocolate bars?
It will take about 15 minutes for the chocolate to set in the fridge. You can use any semi sweet or bittersweet chocolate.
@@joyofbaking thanks so much!
Add some chopped almonds. Nice.
Angie Wheatley how
No, I'm not related.
can i make this with dessicated coconut?...thank you stephanie
Yes, you could do that.
you can just not use it at all if you like, but you can dip it in caramel or white chocolate if you like
can I use desiccated coconut ?
Can I use honey 🍯 instead suger 🤔
Oh boy....ima gonna gain 5lbs after making these,,,,,,,,,,,YUM!

Can I make these in advance and freeze them?
Yes, you can do that.
DELICIOUS :)
can u plz tell me difference between the two types of macaroons
I can't decide which one to make
I made it. It was good but got stuck to the parchment sheet. Used two sheets brushed the tray as well as the parchment sheet. what could have gone wrong?
You arent supposed to brush parchment paper with anything
Can I bake these in tiny paper cups
i did it that way. ot was good
You would just be wasting paper cups
Is there any problem if I add four?
Then they wouldn't be coconut macaroons
I just tried ur this recipe, all the liquid separates. :(
what is 720 mililitres of coconut in grams
Google it
Yes was wondering the same
Need to use less sugar
I wonder if we can replace sugar with bananas or apple sauce? some orange juice would taste good too.
my batter is spreading in the parchment sheet why?
I used frsh shredded coconut 11/2 cups
I've never tried this recipe using fresh coconut, I always use dried. So maybe there was too much moisture in the fresh which would cause the batter to be a little runny.
Thanks for that quick reply.i refrigerated for 2hrs and it became thick.
@@TheLolgags I did that once. Your coconut needs to be dried
How to use less sugar? Stevia?
Just reduce the amount of sugar
It can't be mostly coconut oil...would not hold together. Sugar/coconut oil/chocolate hurt me....so will have to remember these and not eat them.
i don't understand why it's a completely different recipe than the other coconut macaroon recipe she has?
can I use sweeteners instead of sugar??
Veronica Huang nope
It probably wouldnt come out the same. Just google it & see what comes up. I'm sure SOMEONES made a video on it
i made them but it got stuck to the parchment paper! and fell apart!
what did i do wrong?
There is a tendency to stick the baked product in the parchment paper so better brush it first with oil same as wax paper.
I made this and omg it taste so good and it's so easy to make thanks or the recipe:)
