Unless you run the SSDs in RAID mode, you're unfortunately not gonna get full USB4 speed out of this enclosure (and only in read performance) This is not the enclosure to buy for fast external storage

Are there any bus powered dual SSDs? Can you use 1 cable to access both drives at the same time? Can you combine 2x4tb SSDs to make the laptop see it as 1x8tB drive on mac?

Oh they existed, with an NVME and SATA 2.5" to fit a Mac Mini
You HAVE to use 2 identical SSDs to make this enclosure really work fast
It slows down considerably in single drive or JBOD mode
