I can't stress how awesome this is. Yakuza 5's combat is already one of the best in the series, with these extra styles it's like a whole other level of options.

just tried out the mod. id say it still needs alot of work but you've made good progress. its very clunky when it comes to quick stepping and rush combos. the beast move where you quick step to an enemy and throw them around is very clunky, also I think it doesn't do damage. brawler is fine for the most part. rush's quick steps and attacks aren't consistent as well. I'm sure this mod will be improved on. its definitely a major step in the right direction. just need to iron out a few problems.
Thanks! Fixing the beast throw should be easy, but for some stuff like the quickstepping and rush combos, afaik I can't fix it as easily because of how RMM works it seems. I'll try to pack all the animations into Kiryu's animation folder/par to see if that fixes anything though.

Imagine if each characters had styles, kiryu would have all his styles, saejima would have his regular and shibusawas beast style, Akiyama with his normal style and Majima’s breaker style, Shinada could get Majima’s bat style or daigos move set
I feel dumb for not knowing, but some of the enemies I've seen using the beast dodge, lock-on and block animations. Was this in yakuza 5? The only reason I doubt is that they go from beast dodges to evade & strike pretty quickly.
may I ask at what level or which upgrade can you do the style heat actions? Like for example, Brawler's leg-crushing heat action when you are in front of a wall and Beast's essence of torment? or are they not added yet?

From what I remember Emerge saying a while ago, the way this works is that it's a replacement for the Dragon's Rage ability you usually toggle with R2. The style switch is bound to a different button (the directional buttons), and the Dragon's Rage moveset is swapped for the new moveset. So I'm not sure if heat actions would be able to be added, as it technically tricks the game into thinking you're in Dragon's Rage. @@Cizma77 That is how it works, basically using the same system Dragons Rage uses for more movesets. I'm definitely able to add new heat actions to the moveset too, which I'm planning later on (hell, I even have some ported already from another mod).

The Yahata one is kind of ironic seeing that one of Rush’s heat actions being the one showed, is a modified QTE from him.
