it’s a shame the ex-heat beast moves were scrapped before release. would’ve made the final bouncer mission much easier
I don't think all of them are gone, Kiryu still performs the Kaito tackle animation when displayed in the Beast section of the video. It's the Heavy attack move that's uncertain.
Final bouncer mission was easy, I cheesed with the Dragon SP.
I did all the Amon fights beforehand so it was pretty easy with infinite heat
Adding DoD and reborn as separate styles is a gigachad move on your part, amazing mod.
Now im gonna have to replay Y2 just for this, you modders are amazing.
Kiwami 2 could have been GOTY if this was implemented in the official release.
It is a remake so it probably could not win game of the year

I like this game, but the style switches would’ve been a nice addition. At least the Judgement games have them.
There will always be Yakuza 0, at least. Even without the Dragon Engine...

Mfw Majima goes “HNNGGEEEEAAAAAAAAAGGH!” and does 3 kajillion damage.
Brawler’s extreme heat also gives finishing holds to both the first finishing blow and the fourth finishing blow
Also gives an extra followup attack after the second finishing blow
Dragon’s EX finishing blows can also be charged. (The first 3 punches have their own finishing blows)
Beast’s EX changes the full rush combo to have further reach along with giving him Kaito’s EX command grabs
I havent kept up with modding much at all, but this looks so clean. Nice work!
All praise goes to the mod author, I just showcased them in a video. BTW your moveset mods are fun as well

Saw Kiwami 2 on sale for 5 dollars on steam and figured it was finally time ti replay it with this mod, and damn it feels like a whole new experience
I just wish Majima story had more to do

The fact the original DOD rush combo was implemented by a mod proves that RGG could’ve kept the original version.
Wish we could get extreme heat mode for majima too
Damn it, now I gotta buy this game on PC AND this mod... knowing this exists, I don't think vanilla Kiwami 2 and Judgement on console satisfy me anymore.
This is everything I could've hoped for, though I still hope to see more improvements to this mod cause I've heard that some heat actions (like the Essence of mad dog: maul the one that takes out 3 enemies) dont work
I have a problem, I can't change styles when I have weapons equipped which means I have a very hard time changing styles when playing as majima. Anyone knows how to solve this?

Nice video! Could you make a tutorial on how to properly install the majima style switching mod? I had no problems with kiryu’s style switching, but for some reason I can’t get majima’s style switching to work, the game either makes majima have kiryu’s styles or it infinitely loads
Hmm that's weird, did you try reading the mod page? I think the author have made it clear on how to install. Or maybe you have other mods that are conflicting

I love this mod and i can't imagine playing without it anymore but please tell me... why isn't the Dragon Style aura not red? Pink for Rush, Yellow for Beast, Blue for Brawler and Red for Dragon just like in Yakuza Kiwami. Komaki has it so why shouldn't Kiryu also have it?
Depends on the game. In Yakuza 0 Legend (dragon) style is white, while in Kiwami 1 Dragon style is red
Theres no canon color for Dragon style as far as I can tell, so just pick your favorite
I think below the Heath bar it should say the styles
Kiwami 2 doesn't work like that though, don't think it can be implemented (correct me if I'm wrong)
@@darkmaster2899 Nope you're right. Anytime you're try to add anything to the dds files instead of changing what's on there the bars get all misaligned.

Is it possible to make the bars a different color or smth? Like pink for rush style idk if that's possible idk how coding works but it might be cool
@@squidynk The heat bar or the health bar? The answer is "yes" to both and it's a matter of texture (dds) editing rather than coding. You can't make them dynamically switch to one another like in Yakuza 0 sadly.
Extreme Heat Rush is basically faster Rush and Yagami's boxer style if you spam M2 long enough💀💀

The mad dog is vanilla, but the mods improves the style, adding some stuff from Majima’s Legend style from yakuza 0

How hard could it have been to literally copy and paste the styles? They reused stuff from the og yakuza 2 in this game but couldn't do the same for a game released a couple years prior
And I think it would have been fine with just Kiryu having 4 styles and Majima only mad dog, so even easier...

Dude, you have to admit that Kiwami 2's combat does get a bit repetitive. All this mod does is add more options/flesh out the combat more.

I played Kiwami 2 without style switching and i regret it, this mod adds so much to the combat that makes this game go from a 6/10 to a solid 8/10
And the majima campaign is 10 times better with the style switching mod

@@longminh2759I don't think you should ever play a game you haven't played before with mods. It might set inaccurate expectations, and skew your judgement of the game for it's own merit.
I recommend play through any game at least once before trying to change it up.

Style Switching is funnier without being disrupted.
