I have the 16" macbook bro m3 and it's a major update from the 14" m1 back book pro. Haven't travelled with it yet but it's gorgeous. I really do wish the machine was ultra black rather than what looks like charcoal

You best keep that one a while being that spec haha. I not long ago got the base M2 Pro MacBook Pro and for me it does what I need. I probably should have got a bigger SSD but I’ll go that next upgrade time in 2/3 years. Look forward to seeing how much better this one runs for you. Great video as always 😊

I have the M1 Air with 1TB storage. The pro models are nice but the Midnight blue color of the M3 Air is more appealing to me, than the space black of the pro.
There is no M3 Air…only a M1 and M2 Air…currently 😉
I almost got the 14" because for $100 cheaper, it had the same 18GB of RAM but with the 1TB SSD vs the 512GB that comes with the base 16". However, I don't travel often enough that the size would matter to me. That and I had a 2016 15" before that never bothered me. I don't use them on planes, so that aspect of it I couldn't use for my decision making. I compared the two in an Apple Store and the 16" just has so much more screen real estate that I couldn't pass it up. And push comes to shove, if I ever need to download any large files, that is where I can use a portable SSD or Flash Drive to maximize storage space on my internal 512GB SSD. Love the Space Black compared to the Space Grey as well. I was a big fan of the midnight, but didn't want to go the Air route, so I'm glad Apple finally brought a new color to the Pro lineup.
Why would you not do a transfer instead of new setup? You must have a real world reason and I'm just curious to hear your thoughts.
How is the fan noise when you push it?

Am I the only one to miss the 15" size? I've been using laptops with that size screen going back to my 400 MHz Titanium Powerbook G4. 😅
In 2019 I bought a 1TB, 64GBs of RAM 15.6" OLED Thinkpad X1 Extreme i9-9880H and it was on sale black Friday with a 50% code, reduced from €4400 to €2200... I sold it this year for €1000 and the chip is only about 2% slower than the M2 chip now. My point is technology moves fast, that was only 5 years ago and it was the best of the best that I got for half price, if I had bought it for the original price it would have cost me 77% of it's resale value. You are going to lose about €4000 of that laptop in the next 5 years.

14 inch is the way to go. I have a 14 for personal use and then work issued me a 16", so I switch between them daily. I LOVE the 14 inch. It feels so much smaller and is so much lighter and in reality, the extra few inches of screen that you get on the 16 doesn't really enable any additional productivity. It's not enough for another window or anything. Functionally its the same, but it is lighter and easier to use on planes and when you are out. I WAY prefer the 14.

Proper first world problem eh? A larger screen is, generally speaking, more comfortable for productivity, and for those with eyesight problems it allows them to zoom in and still retain decent relative real estate. So yes, 16” really does enable additional productivity because the surface area increase is huge in comparison. Reads to me like a justification statement though.

I am a fan of the m3 max but not the space black I wish they would bring back space grey on the higher end skus.
Paying 7k for a smaller screen and a dark grey color? Ouch. I plan to max out when the M3 air comes out cause my last one was a 2013 model, and it will be silver because it still looks new after 10 years. Hope you won’t be bothered when yours scratches in a couple of weeks. That space black only wishes it was as black as the braided cable it came with.

I bought one maxed out and commented on other max reviews. Funny how many others comment as if you are nuts to buy one. I wonder why Apple bothers upgrades or why reviews like yours herald the next generation? Faster the better and the M3 is amazing.
Because the upgrades are more expensive then the laptop and majority of people are suffering under inflation...

Anyone who works heavily on high volume data, 3D design, scientific data analysis, large scale software programming like games and of course high resolution professional video production like Jenna does.
Faster than the 50K Mac Pro that was from a few years ago.
M3 Max on a 14”?! If I am traveling, then for me battery life is paramount. With this setup, hello performance, goodbye battery life.
I think there’s only about a one hour difference if you just use it for daily tasks. If you need performance, then getting the work done faster at the cost of shorter battery life may be justifiable.
@@ynffsy2443 idk. The job will be done quicker but so will the battery, which reduces the time/ability to do other things later. It’s a trade off one needs to consider. But compared to windows machines, Mac will still have way a better battery life.
Couldn’t you pay Justine to edit your videos, it looks like she enjoys editing her own.

All Apple M3 reviews are the same crap bs cinebench geekbench fan noise damn 100% reviews are the same content nothing new. I have never seen a review about how crap Apples HDMI2.1 implementation. It only supports 8 channel 48khz crap and cost $5,000 WTF. APPLE 'S HDMI2.1 CANNOT OUTPUT UNCOMPRESSED DOLBY ATMOS DTS X DOLBY TRUEHD. instead apple does the decoding. Test it connect Apple M3 HDMI2.1 to an AVR receiver 😄😄😄
You can get that laptop (not mac) for 1/3 or 1/4 the price. Mac is ripping off its customers and they love it. Lol
Please show us a laptop that is 1/4 the price and is the same size with the same performance?
