Christmas in the 90s :-( such a joyous time, it's gonna make my cry
Step 1: Make playlist with these commercial videos.
Step 2: Connect computer to Television via HDMI cable.
Step 3: Full screen and play all.
Step 4: Decorate a Christmas tree with a friend as you time travel back into the 1990's.
These were the best years for me i will never forget these moments i miss this era..RIP 90s.
I miss it alot too.😔
is it me just being nostalgic.... or was an early 90s christamas time just more fun and magical??
Both
I believe we look back at the 80's and 90's as more fun and magical because we actually sat down as a family and watched television. These network Christmas specials were a thing to look forward to and they were appreciated more. Now, children can't even sit still for a 30 minute program because they have to many other distractions with all this technology. All the great things technology gives us, it is hard to see how much it hurts us too.
Nick Lee Things were just more simple back the. I was born in '85 so all I really know was the 90's. I just remember the 90's being better than the times we're living in now. Seemed like everything was an event back then. Going out to eat, going to the store, watching tv, etc. Just seemed more fun and magical back then. Everything's gotten so bland now b/c of technology.
The 80s and the 90s what a great time to be alive .
2:15 Oh my goodness! I forgot all about this commercial, instantly brought back so many memories. I miss Mickeys Christmas Carol being on tv.
I sure wish I had a time machine. I'm so over being an adult.
I'm not even over being an adult. I'm just over modern day society. I'd kill to go back in time and then prevent the creation of the internet, smartphones, social media, and technology in general. It fucked a lot of stuff up.
You know what Y8R you are so right. The 90s was a great decade to live in. There were no social media, smart phones, or anything like that. Those days were amazing. I honestly wished there were no social media or smart phones. Just good ole polaroids, writing letters to friends, meeting with friends on the playground, etc.
Y8R How did the internet, smartphones, social media, and technology fuck up a lot of stuff?
+Nicole Collins I agree with you
I want a time machine too!
6:47 This might seem funny now, but back then it was really needed.
That Friendly's "Jubilee Roll" commercial is seared into my brain. They made it look so good, though that creepy living nutcracker freaked me out.
Man! 7up must have been struggling in the early 90s!
that wonderful world of disney intro makes me want to cry
@douchey belushithe iconic disney themes, movies and places i grew up with, just the overall vibe of disney is so nostalgic and magical
@douchey belushi oh yeah definitely
Man, watching these makes me want too go back in time and kick my ass all the way to get a college degree. Now 20 years later and I am a 39 year old college student. lol
Why can't the holidays be more like this again? So many good memories of the holiday season in the 80s and 90s.
Now everyone is on their damn cellphones...
That jubilee roll looks so good
A commercial for a collection of commercials in a collection of commercials...
I think my brain just broke.
Thanks universe for this channel. I listen to these as a sleep aid, can't explain the peace and bliss it brings. It's especially amazing if you have another browser tab playing a space ambient mix.
I miss the days when money wasn't the only thing people wanted out of life.
I feel sorry for this generation of kids! Christmas used to be sooooo flippin' awesome!
2:08 It's weird seeing Michael Eisner so happy before he betrayed
the stock holders and made an empire on direct-to-video sequels.
To be fair, to be true... Eisner was responsible for the Disney Renaissance.
I haven't seen Beethoven's 2nd in years...I couldn't agree more. Ronald McDonald as a kid looks freaky!...That To Dance With The White Dog movie looks very touching.
@MLCVln129 I actually bought this game a while back on ebay for my Nintendo SNES system. I remember renting it from the video store as a kid and playing it. This past summer I finally beat the darn thing! :) Oh yeah, and the game is called "Cool Spot."
I don't know about anyone else, but I'm disappointed we don't get to watch Mickey's Christmas Carol... That was one of my favorites. :)
0:00--That Jubilee Roll looks yummy! I'm guessing Friendly's must be a regional chain. We don't have them here in my home state of Iowa.
1:04--I miss the "old-school" CBS Special Presentation bumper (the one that pre-dated this)!
2:14--I love this promo for Mickey's Christmas Carol!
3:35--Those chocolate chip cookies, fresh from the oven, make my mouth water.
4:35 and 6:57--McDonald's has produced a lot of great commercials over the years. I agree with many others that their current ads are pretty lame compared with those from the 70's/80's/90's.
6:17--Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer is one of the true classics of holiday TV.
I have a recording of Mickey's Christmas Carol from this exact same night except it's from WMAZ in Macon, GA.
I remember having a little people fun park. ❤
The battery for the captiva was in the film, that's why polaroid film was so expensive.
I missed some corporate mascots that where in the commercials, like the 7up Spot featured a few times here!
the 90s were my prime back then!
thanks for the tip chuck.
Mom still buys jubilee rolls
Never watched the Wonderful World of Disney when it was on CBS.
(Only 2/3 years old when it came on ABC back in 97')But it would be
awesome to.
Michael Eisner!
I love it.
I'll say it. Better then. More time with family in the evenings, less exposure to horribleness, there seemed to be a lot more focus on coming together as a country and a society. 85-95 seemed to be a pretty special time that can't be recaptured. People are too cynical now with constant internet exposure and up to date answers for EVERYTHING. No more discussions about topics just google it and end the conversation, no guesses or debates to laugh at. Man...all we can do is group up and agree with each other.
I got a little chill 2 the Wonderful World of Disney intro. so many memories.
did Friendly's have a good reputation?
I would love to see that "Funniest Holiday Commercials" special
the fairy in the 1st McDonald's ad is really cool
Mickey sounds somewhat like Miss Piggy... LOL.
Man I wish it was Christmas
i remember that 7up game and i had the old micheal jackson game and the home alone game
"To Dance with the White Dog"? Sounds like a metaphor for doing cocaine or something. Considering that the plot appears to have something to do with the old guy seeing dogs that aren't really there...well...
this mustve been before Disney and ABC merged.. Disney specials on CBS.. looks so wierd now
omg that kid dressed as ronald SCARY
Apparently now I know which commercials aired on my birthday. LOL
Friendlys? Haven't eaten there in over 19 years.
I have this EXACT tape at home.
Polaroid Captiva, The World's First Digital Camera!
oh yeah! that was a good game
That Jubilee Roll looks yecch, like it would a bit too rich.
ladycplum it was, and sickly sweet >_
6:16 I have never seen the Rudolf special until this year, isn't that
weird?
yes it was to bad i could only be there for 2 years
Who remembers the 7Up dot's video game? I think it was on the Sega Genesis!
I think I had that game
i want to record this pov of this little people funpark
I'd forgotten the Disney stuff ever ran on CBS. Weird seeing the old Michael Eisner intros, given how badly his relationship with Disney ended.
That teeth McDonald's ad is really weird. Maybe they were encouraging kids not to expect money from the tooth fairy...
Ronald is so freakin scary~
NOOOO NOT THE INFERIOR SPECIAL bumper again!
Remember when a camera like that was hi-tech? 8 D batteries could not contain the awesome.
Commercial specials in the 90s were GREAT. Bud Melman would certainly have added a bit more to that one. I remembered one hosted by Patrick Duffy in 1993 on ABC.
pupyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyys
pupieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees
Which one Cool Spot or Spot Goes To Hollywood?
