Artosis is an awesome dude and you should check out his twitch stream where he mostly plays brood war (Starcraft: Remastered) but occasionally dunks in other games too:
/ artosis
#starcraft #broodwar #artosis #remastered #funnyrage #clips
I love how 99% of Artosis' thumbnails is several dragoons hitting on a bunker repaired by scvs
Just another Draggons' day in the office.
ahahahahaha
In an arc*
A shuttle making it through a gap of two turrets.
"He just flew straight through mass turret!"
Artosis can't comprehend the idea of expanding beyond 2 bases.
I like when you suicided all your tanks and then called the other player bad
when he suicided those vulures into the cannons lmao
On one hand Arty is right about most of Brood Wars problems. On the other, he keep ramming unsieged tanks into protoss armies, sieging them when the dragoons are already in range, and then expects good results.
My exact thought. He sieges his tanks AFTER engaging his opponent, not before. Also, he could send some Vultures to scout ahead. Terran can win if it has enough intel about enemy location, tech etc.
i keep wondering how good mech really is in BW. In SC2 it seems much more legit.
Why not mix some marines in there? 🤔
@@Broockle because reavers exist, hard counters any and all bio in BW
@@sergeanthattie9822
Reavers seem to counter Vultures just as well 😅
What a funny game BW is.
@@Broockle Its certainly quite a bit too hard for me, thats for sure
3:47 5 queued SCVs, a second later: not enough minerals, all while talking how the other guy is bad. Perfection.
Ironic.
“Into mass turret”
Has like 3 turrets up lol
“How does he have more bases than me?”
“How does he manage to build more than me?”
I feel like the answer to both of those questions is in there somewhere…
I was just shaking my head. I was never playing BW multiplayer but just look at the damn mapm he's all cozy in his corner with no scouting or map control.
Big mystery as to why the enemy could have lots of bases.
"after he lost EVERYTHING" dude lost like 4 lots and a goon, meanwhile artosis has 5+ scv baby sitting a bunker and 5 more idle at his main because his attention is at his choke.
He also said he was ahead in worker count the whole time but they're actually tied in worker count for the whole game, and he has 4-6 workers at the bunker + 2 more running around with an attacking army so really he is mining with like ~75% of the worker count in the mid game.
This is a super late comment, but there's something poetic in how he leaves the replay just before he takes a fight in which he starts sieging his tanks while the dragoons are already in range and killing all his dudes.
He loses all his shit for basically nothing.
Artosis what you do is collect resources and then you spend them to make units
*loses 15 tanks in the middle of the map just cause he blindly pushed*
artosis 5 minutes later: I literally took no damage from this guy, how does he have more than me?
Well his opponent was so horrifically bad (Artisis' words) that the only way his opponent could have more units in a fight is by an absolutely imbalanced game design which provides his opponent with 3x productivity compared to poor Artosis! I just have one question - if the protoss race is so much easier and so much more powerful, why haven't he switch?
"How is this real, how is this a f*ckin game that people even play", he says after 20 years playing it lol
wow ur smart u get it
Lol when he said that I was thinking "and you play it more than anyone I've ever known in my life"
After enemy waste whole army and kill nothing, you have some options as a terran to follow up. You can counterattack right away or mass an army and attack later or get a third cc and get more ahead. You can not turtle in base make a few turrets and play as nothing happen, then to move out with a slightly bigger army than you had 3 minutes ago with no vision on enemy.
You can't help this guy. If 23 years of playing this game can't even teach him protoss timing and unit costs, then nothing will help him. He's comparing factory units that produce slower and cost more to gateways units which are much cheaper and produce faster. Gateways also don't cost gas to make where as factories do. He's a lost soul. Just enjoy the failure hahaha.
What part of the game are you talking about?
Love when he says how bad they are and still end up losing to them XD haven't watched him in a while but I see some things never change!
This guy's gone from prominent caster to modern avilo
@@OldSpaghettifactory89 he's always been like this, Idra was metaphorically babysat by this man
@@yaboykirby7789 It's odd to think about how chill IdrA could have been if he did not learn Artosis toxic mindset lmao
The production tab shows the protoss nonstop making Dragoons until they started their 3rd Nexus.
0:18 you can sometimes just feel someones IQ. a few seconds later fartosis is attacking uphill with unsieged tanks against dragoons and sieges in FRONT of the army and loses 2 tanks that dont even get to fire one shot. yep we can feel your IQ artosis.
0:55 Here's my IIIODIS Report for this one: He attacks with about 5 tanks, 3 vultures, 2 SCVs, and 8 marines into about 18 Goons - The Tanks are unsieged as the battle begins, and on the low ground. Goons are on High Ground. Marines SUCK and shouldnt even be fighting against Goons unless on defence in bunkers. Period. Taking this fight was just TERRIBLE. He needs to scout ahead for where the goons are, and be Sieged up BEFORE the fight begins. Terran needs to play defensive/ turrets/mines/Sieged up Tanks. He just ran in and reset his tank ground to zero taking a terrible fight. He did have advantage before this fight and he just threw it away.
Yeah. Don't forget he was totally under the assumption that his opponent threw away all of his dragons on that push in the beginning. But if you watch, all his zealots die and only loses 1 dragoon before pulling back.
Definitely a valid point about the poor trading though yeah marines are good on attack as well, they soak up 4 goon shots which is half a tanks HP and can put down DPS to help vultures shred shields etc if left alone
You can't attack at all in TvP when they are going gatewayman. The second he moved out before being maxed on like 3-2 with 4 bases, he was dead.
@@TheTeddyZerg Marines are good VS Zerg, but their DPS isnt any good against Tanky protoss units, though. Goons can just concentrate fire on the tanks first and take most of them down before they manage to even Siege up while just ignoring the marines until the fight is mostly already done. then you just mop up. Tanks/Spider mines are best VS Toss.
well making 10 marines before you start going tanks would OBVIOUSLY slow you down and your push would be shit. Also his turrets were outer turrets which is a bad idea, since you fly over them and then there is jack shit to defend against the reaver.
My two cents are that if the other guy was a little bit better, he would have steam rolled arty into oblivion.
Factories and tanks cost a lot more than gateways and dragoons, so it only makes sense that the protoss player would have a stronger army in the early game. If he did not try to attack up hill with no vision maybe his push wouldve done something
I absolutely love when artosis loses. He contradicts himself every time. It blows my mind how arrogant he his and people still give him money.
I used to watch artosis main channel. Got bored fast because of the win only videos. Now these are good. I always watch it at work during breaks :D
it's always the same story. Artosis somehow gets caught to a single Zealot made in the middle of the map,as if it's the first time he faces that, and then he rushes his 2nd before making units, and then he wastes so many resource and mining time to defend the bunker against couple dragoons, and then regardless of what the outcome of fights are, he just sits there while complaining his enemy just sits there, and then enemy takes whole map and he is overwhelmed.
Dude didn't siege half his tanks for that fight and wondering why he lost.
"But he's like 'I'm a Protoss player though.'" Hahaha
"Flies over mass turret!" - Three of those turrets weren't even completed at the time! :P
*drives artillery pieces into waiting enemy army*
*how cud i los???*
This guy is like a toddler.
You didn't account for 5 scvs massive repairing and the eco drain the causes. That combined with the quicker 3rd.
12 minutes in and he's mind boggled on why toss has a 3rd. LOL
My RUclips recommended feed on the right is showing the original "Stargate" movie. XD
That toss player might have the largest macro to micro ratio gap Ive ever seen
>Lose all tanks
>Took no damage
hey the dragoons are next to my siege tanks, lets siege them all up, i dont micro anyway.
I don't know if i should laugh or feel bad for him
Artosis sometimes makes me think that i should never play terran.
I like that he did not properly block his other base
"Just flies over mass turret!!" Has maybe 2 turret coverage
MacroGOD shows arty what a true goonflood looks like.
hope you were able to get your diaper changed.
You gotta up the clip from today when he raged after he lost a vulture and marine while attacking a gateway his opponent built in the middle of map and he got a dono about clicking on of the screeching birds and he finally did it that game
empty bunkers make me sad
"I took no damage! How is he doing this?!"
Let me guess. Arty then just turtlet enough for the Protoss to remake the lost troops, build a 3rd while Arty just sat in his Artosis Corner?
I had no idea Artosis being thoroughly outplayed and then raging about it could be so entertaining, lol
Crazy how Artosis only gets outplayed by terrible players. Why do terrible players do so well against him?
@@BobsVagene - I think it's because they're not terrible players, just Artosis's arrogance getting in his way. Anyone getting as emotional as Art during games are bound to make a lot of mistakes.
As Artosis himself likes to say, the winner in SC will always be the player that makes the least amount of mistakes.
One of my favorite donos
Wait, he's doing a barcode now? Lol, so confusing. I love it.
Beautiful video
This is the new style that I have been hitting non stop on the ladder. It's modern gatewayman where they just get so many units that it is impossible to move out, and they just take the map and then at some point add in arbs for stasis. You literally have to just try to keep inching forward and taking bases and if you ever lose a decent amount of tanks in a fight you lose. In order to win, you have to survive wave after wave of gateway man, somehow deal with the stasis, and wait for like 3-2 to have a chance to start moving out. PvT is so broken.
If you notice the patterns of how Terran usually win against Protoss it’s when Terran harassed Protoss and never allows them to get to critical mass. It’s similar to PvZ where Zerg is the aggressor. If Protoss loses too many hts or loses too much army relative to Zerg Protoss almost always loses. So the answer is to harass and prevent the aggressor in the matchup from reaching critical mass. There are times I feel that Zerg lost a lot of army and I’ve traded well for the majority of the game yet I can still lose if It was a critical battle. It’s just the nature of the game when you have an aggressor and the more passive role in the match up.
If you think just sitting by and macro passively will win you the game at higher levels that’s why you lose most of the time.
in a straight up Battle Terran units are just better, but its true that Protoss have a Lot more options, so in order to be succesful as a Terran you have to really scout and keep the pressure not letting the Protoss to take the entire map. Also make some shots geezz
@@Raz0rIG You can't harass a Protoss as terran at my level. They just double expand and use pylon walls and cannons to guard the mineral line. And they are always ahead in army with a goon ball and observers.
I explained how you have to play TvP as terran. You have to slowly inch your tanks and vultures forward until you have 4 bases secured with mines and turrets and a couple tanks at each base and then get to 3-2 and win multiple fights along the way.
Then, when you have a decent tank count, you have to win a fight and then try to quickly gain positions and kill nexuses.
At my level, Protoss is so much easier than Terran that it isn't even the same game. At the pro level, you can do some tricky stuff to slow down a protoss, but at my level, you just have to slowly build up while counting everything they throw at you. Attacking in almost any way before 3-2 is basically just giving up the game.
The problem is that Arty invests into marines early game and it makes it hard to switch to mech.
You either wall in one base and build a cc in the main and fly it out when you have units or you start with an agressive build one base all in and transition to mid late game from there.
Arty never walls in, he lets the zealot in and it destroys his early game because he spends too much on defending.
You are supposed to be able to hold your ramp with a few units because you can deny vision.
And then you can tech up faster.
But hey, i dont play the game for 20 years so i can be wrong.
That's a little bit non-meta nowadays, modern style of T opener on many maps is fast expo on the natural and a bunker with delayed gas/fact, meaning you will have to withstand pressure from initial zealot harrass and later dragoons attacking your bunker to force you to repair till your tanks come to push them back. You get so much in return though that it's almost always worth it (huge eco boost very early) You just need to be really, and I mean really good at microing your marines in case of early zealot rushes. Besides this strat sorta 'counters' modern greedy toss openers such as 12 nexus etc.
Here RT's had to react to the zealot rush that's a direct counter to the aforementioned build, so his timings and stuff got all messed up. But this doesn't deny the power of this build, zealot rushes of this magnitude happen only in a relatively small percentage of games, the rest starting with typical macro openers where the build shines.
Everything he did was extremely bad> Except he won the game so everything he did must have been good. Or at least better than Mr. BitchBoi here did :)
Dude needs to mix in a full control group of Goliaths with those Vulture + Tank and tech to vessels and BC or Ghosts.
He could have 1based back to probably take the game after killing the proxy gate, or at least that's a possibility. Otherwise Artosis blind push at 10min is ftw, like it makes some sense but if he had vultures out on the map to set it up and any idea of what he was about to fight and not engage uphill he would've been fine. Haha
I remember how old I was when I first realized more expansions = more units…
I was like 12… so you know.. people have different skill progressions I guess 😂
Artosis turtles with 2 bases while his enemy just takes like every base.
“Erhma gawd how did I lossssee hes so bad!”
He did attack up a high ground though… if not for that Artosis could’ve won the fight sure.
It IS true that the Protoss was pretty bad, and that he just played wrong.
"Let me erect a 3rd while I'm also pushing AND reaver dropping..." -- uh... yeah... that's not a play.
Real reason Artosis lost was that he was too shaken after his initial failure at 01:00. He got tilted after that and never recovered, EVEN THOUGH he came close to actually turning it around, but was still reeling too much from the early game to actually pull it off.
Making a 3rd while pushing and reaver dropping all at the same time is exactly what a ladder toss would do and succeed many times with it. That's the difference between pro play and ladder - doing all kinds of wild greedy shit and cutting corners everywhere without a guaranteed way to get punished (which is what would likely happen in a professional game) can get you so far ahead that practically everyone tries to abuse this fact.
I got tingles!!!!!
Since when are two turrets considered "mass" ?
When you destroy the opponent's army completely, so instead of doing something like a 3rd base or an attack, you continue sitting. Like what does he expect?
Just clasic noobartosis, nuff said ; stay classy Dan.
The donos really break Artosis's flow when he's trying to make a point, I really miss the old streams.
Artosis has been playing this game for decades correct? How come he never reached that level where people don’t bitch about balance after every loss?
I'm not an expert, but when engaging an enemy, you don't siege all tanks. Because you lose vital timing. It is good to have several tanks, unsieged, in the front line.
your turret spacing could have stopped his shuttle but i feel the real reason you lost is at 2:04, you had to run the scvs off of the mineral line putting you at 1 base for a short period of time.
The fact that he retcons his own decision making and knowledge during the match to justify his mistakes shows that he'll never learn. During the match he complains about the protoss somehow having a third base after he pushed out. Then he watches the replay and pretends that he knew about the third base and that it's one of the reasons he decided to push out even though he didn't scout it.
He lost an army of dragoons 6 zealots and revear and he push out.. You dont even think that
i like arty
When I grow up I wanna play Toss.
how many points did arty lose this match?
I love Artosis. I actually love him
Watching Arthisis be reasonable is so tingly :) The protoss was a good player but not sure if he plays Broodwar a lot.
What a weird comment
He’s never looking at what he is doing wrong, he is looking the replay to find as much shit to complain about his opponent
That’s exactly what you should not be doing to learn anything.
Top 10 ppl who think they know what they are talking about
what was the cost of those scvs not mining
he never even tríes too harass the other player and he wanders why he has more??? no ghost, no drops, just build turrets and turtles. He most be TURTLETOSIS
didnt help you sieged up right after the 18 goons were already in range and shooting all the tanks.
Arty's logic is basically:
I won one encounter in the early game so now I'm legally entitled to be ahead forever till the end of time, if I lose it's the game's fault
somewhat this, BUT not exactly... It IS true that the Protoss was pretty bad, and that he just played wrong.
Real reason Artosis lost was that he was too shaken after his initial failure at 01:00. He got tilted after that and never recovered.
I don't understand why he didn't just pull SCV's the moment he pushed back that cheese. That would of been a proper punish but he just lets up and macros? He doesn't even have to pull that many SCVs or even go for the kill. Setting up a light contain with a Bunk to postpone his expo would of been just as good as a death sentence if he wants to play the macro game.
oh shut up! 9:45
05:55 dat me!
...oh
dat me :C
Looks like the better player loses again, eh Artosis?
Artosis still has to get his tanks in better positions. Because if you don't line them up well, and instead get them scattered in a row, they wont focus fire. Also, some of them won't hit in time or at all. Is the major mistake I have seen.
I still don't get how he doesn't understand that he is insulting himself when he loses to a person that he considers bad. In all games I've ever played, and this includes starcraft, when I meet an opponent that is "less" technically skilled, I win. When will he acknowledge that you can't just be playing the same way all the time. The game isn't about playing what what the opponent expects but playing to exploit weaknesses. That protoss playing though was "bad" barely ever floated funds and was obviously multitasking at a higher speed but no credit to that is given.
I guess you felt the need to talk about yourself, struggling for attention at home?
why does he always make turrets that are sooo missplaced and not necessesary? i Think i gastes son much time doing that
I took no damage , at 13 min into the game contained to 2 bases , while allowing the protoss to take over all the map and suicide recall all over because higher economy and capability to replenish the army without even caring about micro ... sure buddy, sure
I usually agree with RT on his takes, but an opponent isn't bad just because they use brute force. If brute force works, then it works. There is really nothing else to say about it.
he made mistakes and lost after taking an advantage, nothing else to be seen here
You were on 1 factory and 2 barracks at 8 minutes, yikes
everything he did failed. yet artosis left the game and the other guy won.
How hard is it to understand that when someone has twice as many basses as you do they can afford to lose twice at much as you?
insulting is the typical way Artosis addresses players who are mechanically better than him
No Turrets covering his main mineral line so the enemy shuttle has free reign once it gets past the paired outer Turrets... again.
Horrible timing on going into siege mode when meeting the enemy force in the middle of the map as well. You're not supposed to siege up when a huge pack of Dragoons moves into point-blank range. At least half of your tanks are supposed to be sieged up already.
Oh man, you can't even analyse the replay properly.
At every point in the early game you were outplayed, outmined and outproduced. You paid so much attention to his failed attack that you ignored the fact that you had 1 scv somewhere on the map, another standing besides the newly built engi bay, 4 or 5 chilling at home and another 4 or 5 waiting to repair the bunker. After that failed attack the game was more or less balanced in numbers, but he still had better tech, better production and the same - or a bit better - income.
Then, after spending some time to let your opponent rebuild, you decided for an unknown reason that you don't need any 3rd base, you don't need forward run to lie mines in the middle fo the map to distract, kill reinforcements or at leat pull containing goons. No siree.
You decided to push with just 6 tanks and a bunch of mostly useless marines (which you were FORCED into like a dumb firefly) - right into the open hands of his goons.
Come on man, that's not even funny how bad you are at this game OR in post-game analysis.
Artry says that any time he gets steamrolled.
Arty, maybe the Protoss race is not cringe, maybe the human race is cringe for making them playable.
This guy is kicking my ass! He's so bad at this game, amirite?
Enemy makes game winning move
Artosis: Look at how terrible this player is!
we already knew all these issues existed in 1999 lol just go toss RT. i love terran but played toss @ lan alwayse lol just zlot/corsair spam = gg
Do you guys he really plays like that or he makes it for the views? Because I 100% it is all staged and he just does it for the views, otherwise I will get really worried.
Has RT just tried being better?
Why do you fight so long when you're clearly the worse player and your opponent is toying with you?
How does Arty not realize that losing to a bad player(like he calls this guy), makes HIMSELF even a worse player? How does he not make that obvious connection? Lmao.
Given the video image, I thought he was going to be recktd'. disappointed
