    I bought my Rise about 6 weeks ago, love it! I am 58 years old and ride with a lot of younger faster groups and was looking for a little pedal assistance. I use profile 1, the lower power mode in Eco or Trail to give myself that 20% pedaling boost to get an extra 1 to 1.5mph on a longer ride. In my mind this bike is designed for someone who rides a lot but might be slowing down a little. I can still unweight this bike and hop an 18" log with ease and it is incredible nimble and comfortable to ride for hours at a time. Going back and forth between trail and eco over a 22 mile ride with 2200 feet of climbing I only used 2 out of 5 battery bars.

    I own the H15 for a few months now and already put 1200km (~750 miles) with 30km (~20 miles) of elevation on it, never rode so much MTB in the past.
    I can totally agree to all of your points. 👍
    Before I went on my first tour I changed:
    * to 4P XT Brakes
    * 203mm brake disks (f/r)
    * Assegai Exo+ (front)
    * DHR II Exo+ (back)
    * set the nm-limit to max (the Rise is shipped with less then max power set as default)
    * put protection shild on the frame (foil)
    After I changed this, the Rise became my absolute dream bike and is all I ever wanted and needed. 🥰🥰🥰
    P.S.: I also own the corresponding Occam and the difference is surprisingly small 😮

    Thankyou so much for this great review. I'm starting to consider a mid e-bike to counteract old age, and coming from an Anthem 29, prefer a lighter more nimble XC kinda bike. I also want a more normal bike feel, so having you mention this a few times is the biggest thing for me. Appreciated.

    Can't wait for the Oso review (you know why, go team Ibis). Also the Shuttle and Trek in this light weight category would make for a great comparison.

      We did the Oso already. Put it on the main channel. Go check it out there.

      Nope. We just moved everything back to the main Bikers Edge channel. Still posting regularly over there.

    Great review, have you ridden the Trek Fuel Exe 9.5? it would be good to know how they compare.

    I long-stroked my H15 w/ a DHX2 w/ 160mm rear travel and threw a Trust Shout up front....turned it into an E-Rallon .LOL It handles the rough as well as my Rail.

      @@BikersEdgeKaysville Too bad pandemic shut them down. Just threw a shout on the Claymore I just built too . Love that fork. Tried to go back to Fox 38 G2/ 23' Zeb Ulti, and I just like the Shout through rocks better and keep going back to it....

      Hey thanks. I avoid giving out specific size advice over the internet. It’s a crapshoot. I’d recommend a test ride. If you can’t do that the next best thing will be the orbea size chart.

    Nice, I had an h15 but ended up selling it for a heckler. H series isn't the most stable descender at high speeds/chunk.

    • @BikersEdgeKaysville
      @BikersEdgeKaysville  Год назад +3

      As far as ride quality goes, I don't think there's much of a stability difference between the carbon and alloy. They both have the same geo and suspension platform.

    Do you think that the Rise is also a good allrounder for rides on gravel, paved paths and forest paths? (I don’t ride trails but the terrain in my area is steep).
    Or should I better go for the Urrun then?

    • @BikersEdgeKaysville
      @BikersEdgeKaysville  Год назад +1

      If you're mostly on bike paths and paved roads you could save yourself a lot of money by getting the Urrun.

    A friend said he got 170KM on A charge. is that accurate ? He has the 2022 Orbea rise H30 XL. ( he didn't have the range extender yet )

      @BikersEdgeKaysville  Год назад +1

      I have a really hard time believing that. Unless someone dropped him off at the top of a loooooong mountain descent.
