AKC is phenomenal. Their OTFs are so well made. I scored one of their bolster lock autos recently and was very well made. That swing guard has caught my eye, I’ll have to add it to the list 😅
The brass isn't mixed in stylistically. The Italians haven't realized you can make pins out of any other material yet :D Two questions! The blade play and the guard play. I only bought two swinguards, Beltrame, around 15-20 years ago. The blade play was what you could expect from an Italian at the time (wobbly) and the play of the guard was crazy. Things better now?
I have a Classic 9in AKC Roma. Has white pealex scales and the classic drop point/stiletto type blade with that mirror polish shine. They're nice and decent for the price you pay.
I have some akc stuff leverletto and a swinguard. I just got a frank beltrame 9 inch with actual ivory scales not plastic like akc. You get what you pay for. My favorite is aga campolin though.
I like the quality of the leverletto over the swinguard. I think if I was going to purchase a swinguard to add to the collection I wouldn’t go AKC, preferably AGA or Frank B for the superior quality
Did Frank Beltrame and AGA start making good quality knives with no blade play? If we're talking a decade ago it was a joke. If you can show me things have become better I'll give them another go. None of my Beltrames can compete with a cheap Ganzo when it comes to blade play.
Its a clone. Asia made i have 2 under the name Russian mafia knife. A all black and a cracked ice. If the leaf spring is tiny its a chiny . china clone. Not bad blade but i paid around 40 or 50 a pop.

China pumps out more autos than italy at the moment. I kno what these knives are. I deal with someone who deals with the frank b. Akc company and AGA family company in a personal level. He buys direct in mass. I think he would kno. They are nice knives for the money. But what do you think world means. Is the leaf spring smaller.i mean look it up.
I've owned a copy of the 9" Roma faux AKC for about 6 months, and Chinese or not, it's one solid well-built automatic knife! Get over it gang, almost EVERYTHING we use has some connection to China in one way or an other, stop picking on their knives!😎

Your white stiletto switchblade is a clone. When you look at The Branding on the blade under that (A) should be an R stamped in a circle in the middle of the A. There wasn't one there.
AKC World is just another way of saying, AKC Asia. For sure companies in China, etc have every right in the world to make knives. However, their products being passed off as Italian is dishonest. The counterfeit knives have been going on for a while now. Unfortunately AKC is now in on it. The Chinese knives should sell for MUCH less than a genuine AKC. About $20 is fair.
Yeah, I just noticed that aga campolin (knifeshop, 3k) is now selling these..they are listing them as Chinese made but they would never have sold a counterfeit in the past unless it didn't have a rogue tang stamp on it. I'm guessing their buying the parts and putting them together in Europe. I dunno, can't beat them join them I suppose.
About 33 or less on wish shipped not horrible. But you can tell its chiny by the leaf spring being tiny. 100 is way to much. You can get Frank Bs picklock s guards for a bill sometimes. And nobody really clones his stamp.

Neat knife. The closest thing I have to it is a Case Cheetah with zebra pattern bone. Who doesn't love a little 70s pimp style?
