I have a 11” car play display in my truck. Getting the audio to play from my phone Bluetooth to the stereo Bluetooth was a pain at first. But once I got it figured out these CarPlay screens are fantastic value. I never use my Garmin nowadays.
Great review and good point making sure it works with the phone connected directly to the intercom so you don't lose all intercom functions. I have seen a lot of reviews and people don't care about this and in my opinion it is very important.

I've seen a few of these reviews now. I figure I just mainly want GPS and Music. Both of which I can get on my phone. At 90 quid plus (Chinese sellers) I just don't know of its fully worth it for a 26 year old bike.
Great idea though. I really was interested.
Loving the idea of not having phone on bars and using the bigger screen of the ottocast and to be fair the price not bad ,im still.looking to use satnav Tom tom rider as a visual .When im touring france be good to see visual of if mrs trying to contact 👍
Yes I will still use my garmin as my main satnav
Thanks I missed the send audio to iphone switch. the headphone connection was flakey as all heck.

Omg, you need a couple more bikes to have enough handlebar space to mount all those screens arriving lol. This Ottocast certainly makes a much better picture as a bar-mounted screen than the other one did (which I would never considered buying) and it would be my No.1 choice if I was in the market for something of this kind. Do your subscribers not get a %age, if buying through a link on this page?

did you try it on road as carpuride to check waze and gmaps? also, do you know if mra app if is working on ottocast?
Google maps and Waze worked perfect. I don’t have the mobile MRA version, only for my Garmin
Great review. Wish I had seen this before I got the Carpuride (Audo does not work on Cardo and Carpuride W702😩)
I’ve got one more to review that has a button which stops the audio going to the CarPlay so it stays on the phone, making the video this weekend.

No it’s fine, very close to tank bag but does not touch
With this configuration, how can you manage Garmin zumo?! Garmin like this is not possible to receive gps notifications or listen to music because Cardo will be dedicated to the ottocast, right?
That’s exactly how I want it to be. I never connected my Cardo to the Garmin as I don’t like audio navigation or messages on the Garmin. I use it purely for visual navigation.
How are you finding your CarPlay unit is working, I am just deciding whether to get one or not. Cheers.
Must say at first I thought it looks good but how much would I use it, now….. bloody love the thing, I even had one for car.
Nice feature with using the audio directly on cardo from ottocast. Unfortunately on my firmware that option is missing. Can you tell me which firmware do you have on your ottocast, maybe I can find it. Thank you!

I’m looking to buy one of these, but read somewhere that if I use Cardo with it I cannot communicate with another cardo system(user), is that true?

Yes the Ottocast is the one I have kept as it is easily removable. It is working fine, tried it the other day with the sun out and could clearly see the display. Very impressed

Still ok with the Cardo system, can you pack talk with other riders with no problems?
@@shropshirecycle yes Packtalk works as normal with other riders. If anything I don’t like is it doesn’t look as modern as the other ones I’ve tried, this one looks more like an older Tom Tom but performs better than the others.

It has a usb lead with it that will power from a powerbank or usb plug socket
