Dave Somerville was the original lead singer of the Diamonds. He does a spectacular job on the Little Darlin' parody. Billboard Music Awards, Dec. 11, 1977 - held in Santa Monica, CA.
Awesome imitations, as always. I loved that they threw the BeeGees in a the last. I had never seen this video before and really enjoyed it. I hope someone puts some more up.
The 4 Prep's were great. Gosh I remember them from when I was young and hearing them sing Santa Catalina. Loved the song. Looking Forward to going to the Island. I'm excited !! ♥️
Great channel. Remember the record but this is a couple of tads better. A final thank you to the fifth Prep. Big Man piano is deep in my heart and brain. Thank you.
This is my first time here so bear with me. I recognize Ed Cobb. Dave Somerville and, of course, Bruce Belland in this clip. But who si the other fellow?.
I miss these sounds!
NEVER will these guys be matched.
That's entertainment!!! Excellent....
Jim Pike is an excellent singer who later went onto higher heights with the letermen, also the lead singer of the diamonds is in there.
David Somerville sang in preps and Diamonds. This is so great. I loved it. The 4 Preps made some great hits. 👍
Outstanding harmony and comedy combined....standing ovation, boys
Entertainment doesn't get any better that that!
The arranger, whoever it was, did a fantastic job here.
Lincoln Mayorga was the 5th prep. He was the arranger conductor and coach. Those are directly from Bruce belland the horse's mouth
See, the Bee Gees knew what was up. The Four Preps were a huge influence on the Beach Boys, Bee Gees and the rest.
I saw mr David Sommerville, sang little darlin' so happy..
Very funny ... I remember this one & all of the songs referenced ... great job guys!
NO AUTOTUNE... NO AUTOTUNE.. REMEMBER, THEY DIDN'T USE AUTOTUNE
Saw them at the Holiday House in Monroeville (Pgh.) PA. In 1958. They were great.
I laughed so hard!!!! Why did I laugh so hard?!!!! Was it against the law to laugh that hard?!!!!
If it is I'm going to J..A..I..L!!! BOOP!!!! LOL
Classics😇😇😇😇

Glen Larsen
Were any of these guys original members of the original Four Preps?
Three of them.
what happened to chapters 4 and 5?
This is my first time here so bear with me. I recognize Ed Cobb. Dave Somerville and, of course, Bruce Belland in this clip. But who si the other fellow?.
He is Glen A. Larson.
BTW, the same Glen A. Larson whose name you saw as "Created By" on about a zillion TV shows in the 60's & 70's.
You, killed a seal for a car cover ? . Disgusting
