Belland and Somerville shared the stage with a lot of musical greats, but nothing equaled standing on the stage of Nashville’s legendary Ryman Auditorium, original home of the Grand Ole Opry, next to “the man in black,” Johnny Cash.
What Would I Do Without My Music

“WHAT WOULD I DO WITHOUT MY MUSIC” (the song Elvis was scheduled to record when he died), has been performed by over 130 different artists, from a men’s choir in Wales, and a high school glee club in South Carolina, to a lone teenager in his kitchen in Harlem. It’s gratifying every time I watch one, and I thought I’d been moved as much as possible by their performances. But none has ever touche...

Presenting The Four Preps - Electronic Press Kit
Listening to those two brings me to a very emotional state. I so so so admired "The Diamonds". The rich harmony, these two gentlemen have is truly a gift. Today these kind of talents are, unfortunately, forgotten. Sigh. I long for listening to these wonderful 50's type of music. Back then, it wasn't about looks or what brings profit, it was about pure talents and feelings. Sad, very very sad. Respect to both of these gentlemen.
They remind me a bit of the Righteous Brothers.
Monstruos...
I miss these sounds!
These guys are the epitome of 'clean cut'.
Great channel. Remember the record but this is a couple of tads better. A final thank you to the fifth Prep. Big Man piano is deep in my heart and brain. Thank you.
I've never heard this one before. Thanks for posting!
I would love to see the performances by the Four Preps on the Ed Sullivan show. So far, none of them have been posted on the Sullivan channel and I've never seen them anywhere.
The Original """LITTLE DARLIN."""Mabuhay !!!💯👍😜
Magnificent!!
So Good!!
❤
Amazing piano riffs!!!!
These two guys... Bruce Belland of the Four Preps on the left (his memoir forthcoming) and David Somerville of The Diamonds (Little Darlin') are two of the most gifted vocalists in music history.
Very funny ... I remember this one & all of the songs referenced ... great job guys!
Jim Pike is an excellent singer who later went onto higher heights with the letermen, also the lead singer of the diamonds is in there.
You, killed a seal for a car cover ? . Disgusting
What's missing worldwide today -- harmony. These guys provide music to sooth the savage Globalists (if only they'd drop the greed and tune in).
Love that rolling piano sound on the hit recording. Not enough of it in this obviously live version (a flawless live version at that).
It's the studio version. They're miming. Just a poorer quality sound in this recording.
@@ferocel Yeah, after closing the tab I kinda thought as much.
@@patrickryan1515 Right.
Yes, that intro rolling piano sound is a memorable part of my childhood.
I saw mr David Sommerville, sang little darlin' so happy..
I laughed so hard!!!! Why did I laugh so hard?!!!! Was it against the law to laugh that hard?!!!! If it is I'm going to J..A..I..L!!! BOOP!!!! LOL
That jump at 1:08 is actually very difficult to do
Juba varases nooruses võitmas kuulajate südameid!
The 4 Prep's were great. Gosh I remember them from when I was young and hearing them sing Santa Catalina. Loved the song. Looking Forward to going to the Island. I'm excited !! ♥️
Were any of these guys original members of the original Four Preps?
Three of them.
🎶💝🎶💝🎶💝🎶
Great music and great voices!
Elvis bio out now. Rick's will probably follow soon.
See, the Bee Gees knew what was up. The Four Preps were a huge influence on the Beach Boys, Bee Gees and the rest.

Who knew Ozzie Nelson played the banjo.
David Somerville sang in preps and Diamonds. This is so great. I loved it. The 4 Preps made some great hits. 👍
Very sorry for my first comment. The Four Preps predated the Lettermen! Not a 4 Freshmen!
Fantastic group! They predated the Lettermen!

Lincoln!!!!
Loved this and had forgot that they did this! Thanks for sharing!!
This is very enjoyable
The Four Preps were a quality harmony group. They clearly outshine the vocalist that they were backing. When they recorded in a studio their superb harmonic intonation came out. Their crackerjack version of the Ladies of Calcutta is an excellant example.
