I also like the Cambridge KJVs. The newer, more expensive Concord ones have goatskin leather and stitching around the edges, but also include something VERY important in the opening pages, just before the book of Genesis, called the Translators Preface to the Reader. If one of your KJVs has it, I recommend you read it. It was written by the translators themselves, and it goes into all the reasons why the KJV was made, and why it was needed during its time, and how specifically different it was from other bibles of the time. It's a little long, but it'll really open your eyes and give you further insights for when you share the KJV.

Most people are completely unaware that there is an agreement with the Vatican and the publishers of the new texts to meet the standard of the Catholic Church. These are the texts used to create new Bibles. If you don't believe it then do the research yourself. That is exactly what I did. I wanted to see it for myself. In my video titled" KJV VS. HCSB," I have provided the page number in the Nestle Aland for you to varify this fact. In my video titled "Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB) Exposed!" I show you where the United Bible Societies confirm this truth as well. It's posted publicly on their website. These are the two texts which are used as a foundation for virtually every new Bible in mass publication today. What I am telling you is a fact not some conspiracy theory. There is a reason why we say that the KJV is the pure and preserved Word of God. It is based on manuscripts that are perfectly preserved. The new versions are based on incomplete manuscripts from Egypt.

I don’t read Hebrew do you? Kjb translators did and checked their English translation against It. So would you consider existing Hebrew, which are all copies of copies, inspired? The Bible does and so do I. I also consider the Kjb 1611 and 1769 edition that I use. I don see what the problem is in saying it’s inspired...or the preserved word of God in English.

Thank you for the great video Bryan. I downloaded your list and compared my The Open Bible (Thomas Nelson) and Old KJV Scofield (Oxford). The Scofield had one word that was not according to the list (Gen 24:57 ). The Open Bible had 4 words (Gen 11:3, Job 33:4, Psalm 51:2, Joel 2:24). I'm bit sad since I love the lay out and paper quality of the Open Bible. I'm not into all the commentary Bibles, but I do like lots of references and a good concordance. That said, must I get a different publishers Bible? One from Local Bible Publishers for example? I'm disappointed that the Cambridge didn't hold up, the one in your video. So, should I replace my two Bibles??? I just read on your website that you suggest we can change the words ourselves, not necessary to buy a new Bible. Think I will do that :-)

Excellent video. I agree with your recommendations. I have a Thomas Nelson that I bought before I knew better and the notes revise the text constantly to line it up with the NKJV. It also perverts the text. I've been using the first edition RRB for a little over a year and it's coming apart at the seams, but has served me well. I don't like that it lacks a concordance. Most of the other things I don't like about it have been fixed in the 2nd edition. Someday I'll replace it with one from LCBP.

In '95 the Lord called me to teach the Word.I had been Spirit baptized for years, so when i would read the Bible and the Spirit would guide me in understanding what i was reading. At the same time He called me to teach He also gave me a love for the New Testaments original Koine Greek.Soon afterwatds i ran into the King James Only controversty.I started comparing the KJV and the NIV to the original greek.I found that between the two, the KJV was closest to the original greek translation, except for Matt.28:19 and 1John 5:7 which were present even though historians have proven that they are not present in the earliest known manuscripts of the NT.The NIV points that out and is more specific as far as Jesus being God.I settled on the KJV because it is the most accurate and beautifully written.

I bought a Holman reference supergiant 16point font print KJV. It has a cheap brown leather touch binding. But it's a great Bible for $17..

rl allan is definitely the best in terms of quality, followed closely by lcbp and cambridge. but i have to admit, i have a 1988 thompson chain reference in excellent condition and it looks as if it was made yesterday.

Bonded leather is better fit for gift & award Bibles, as they rarely get used. It's simply pressed scraps like cardboard or paper mache.

I don't personally feel that the word spirit needs to be capitalized there in Genesis 1:2. The word in the Hebrew "ruach" is not a name or personal pronoun or anything, it just means "life, spirit, wind, anger, vigor...".
Tell me what you think. I look forward to hearing from you.

This video was very helpful. If I had funds I would give all to have one with excellent binding, concordance and dictionary with maps. God's Word is the most priceless possession that a person can have. I have a giant print Nelson KJV Bible that is definitely a counterfeit. God bless you and your ministry.

I whole heartedly agree with your assesment of Local Church Bible Publishers. I have been using their Bibles for a few years now and I always recommend them to my friends (or even people who aren't my friends) . For the money you will not find a better Bible. RL Allan Bibles are also VERY nice, but they are more expensive than Cambridge...............Enjoyed the video and I am glad LCBP are gaining popularity among the brethren.

Hello I am a brit and I have just purchased a 1628 King James bible that i am restoring . It is one of the first quarto editions . It is in gothic black letter and I feel incredibly privileged to be given the task. I have built up my library over the last year and have many King James bibles now from the 17th 18th and 19th C and was also privileged to have restored a 16thc Bishops bible from which much of the 1611 King James came from.
My personal opinion is that you cannot go wrong with any king James bible printed in the UK from 1611 up to the mid 19th c. With the arrival of Revised NT in 1881 then things sort of go downhill very quickly. Scofields bible the 1917 edition is not bad but use his notes with discernment.
i have bought many of my bibles from e bay and some only cost a few $ so you can get a good old KJ edition cheaply indeed often for less than modern editions. If you are looking for a good cheap study bible the scofield is not bad as it an be bought for about $10-$15.

The apocrypha is a selection of books which were published in the original 1611 King James Bible. These apocryphal books were positioned between the Old and New Testament (it also contained maps and geneologies). The apocrypha was a part of the KJV for 274 years until being removed in 1885 A.D.

The only problem I see with calling the other KJV bibles counterfeit, is that the words that are different in spelling (like heaven vs. heavens), if we look at the Hebrew, ought to be different. Unless I'm wrong, which I might well be, the Hebrew word used is actually plural.
Also, most of the other words are only superficially different in spelling (asswaged vs. assuaged), or capitalization (which I agree can make a big difference).
Can you please respond to let me know what you think?
