We are so blessed to have so many great options available for us to read and learn from the Word of God. And it is the greatest gift we can give to others when we have the chance. Thanks for another great video.
My FAVORITE Bible company. I LOVE my Humble Lamb bibles. I have 6 now and cannot wait for their new NLT SonRise bible! I own 2 of the 1st generation KJV Lions, but I’m excited to see this!!
I just got my wife the shepherd. I wish they had the Lion in NKJV, ESV, or even LSB. I already have a KJV so it would be hard to pull the trigger on this but I think for sure it is on my wishlist. I like the lion them with the Yapp and the thicker pages. I really like the green and then the blue.
If Humble Lamb made a version of the KJV lion with apocrypha I’d buy it. Seems like there’s a trend towards including the apocrypha, it would be awesome for them to expand their lineup by doing this!
I received my new Lion KJV in Storm Gray goatskin yesterday. I was pleasantly surprised by the nice shade of gray. The goatskin texture feels dry and stiff, similar to the Zondervan’s Premier goatskin. The color is flat, versus a semi-gloss like the Schuyler, R.L. Allan Bibles, and the Humble Lamb Sahara blue. I hope it will soften with time and use. The liner is better than my Schuyler but not quite Allan quality. The inside corner work looks very similar to the Zondervan Premier series, though not on the level of Allan or Schuyler. Upon opening the Bible, I was a little disappointed to notice the first page was quite wrinkled. The paper quality is good and similar to the old Schuyler 36 gsm paper. However, the print seems a bit light and not as easy to read as the “Comfort Print” in the Premier versions. The blue print for the words of Christ is too light. The blue ribbons are similar to Schuyler and Zondervan Premier but not Allan. The gold stamping on the spine is almost identical to my Zondervan Premier NASB Thompson Chain. Overall, this Humble Lamb is a bit disappointing to me. I was hoping it would be the same quality as a Schuyler since the price is the same. I am glad I got the preorder price because I would be even more disappointed otherwise. The KJV Lion Bible is basically a Zondervan Premier that is nearly $100 more
I bought one in rose gold.. I've never owned a bible with extra yapp before, so i hope i like it.. I really wanted a humble lamb bible, and all other bibles in rose gold were out of stock so i decided to just get this one. Its really beautiful and i cannot wait to receive it.
Howdy from Arizona y'all! My copy has been sitting in "Pre-Shipment" since May1st...ugh. This video increases my anticipation! Hopefully, it'll arrive soon.
Tim, based on your recommendation I spoke with Luis Flores yesterday and am sending my favorite little Douay-Rheims from Baronius to Floresh for a rebind today. I'm easily old enough to be your father, and I hope you understand how much easier it is to shop around and get rebinds with the blessing of the internet. I got my first Bible rebind in the seventies in college and back then it was really taking a chance. Best wishes from Texas!
Fun unboxing! Whets my excitement for my Storm Grey pre order. Humble Lamb makes wonderful Bibles. And it’s nice that they’re different from the super classy elegant Schuyler and Allans, while still being very beautiful and well made and lovely to use.
I really like the yellow Lion. When I was a child my parents had a pool table and would ask me to pick my favorite color of pool ball and I would always pick the yellow one. Funny story and thought I would share. Wonderful looking Bible.
I preordered a KJV Lion in the new Storm Gray color. Hope it gets here soon. I also have a orange NKJV Shepherd and lunar yellow NASB2020 HIStory, and will order the NLT Son Rise when they become available. Daniel and the crew at Humble Lamb produce beautiful, high quality Bibles, and I highly recommend them. Hopefully, they'll publish a CSB version in the future.
When I bought my first premium Bible, my two options were the Schuyler Treveris and the KJV Lion. I created a poll in a premium Bible FB group and almost all the responses BLASTED Humble Lamb because of the Dore drawings that were inside. I personally didn’t care for them either, but I wish HL would offer Bibles without them…would love to have one. Great review! Thank you!
I don't understand the objection to the Dore illustrations. Gustave Dore was an incredibly gifted artist and I think his illustrations add much to the Humble Lamb Bibles.
had surgery today to repair a rotator cuff. My day was made better when I seen that Tim had uploaded a new video!!! That bible looks amazing, great color. I love the words of Christ in blue. Yapp is a nice touch and the art work seals the deal! Thanks for sharing and making my day a little better! God bless.
I purchased a yellow with black art-gilt (my 1st KJV) and I am stunned at how beautiful it is. Great job all around Humble Lamb. Excellent quality, value and great words, give it a read.
.I have rose gold HIStory (NASB2020) and KJV (I believe it is a refresh), and Sahara Blue HIStory and also KJV (older) ethereal pink. The Sahara Blue is so pretty that wish I'd gotten one sooner. I had to replace the HIStory rose gold because the pages were so thin they ripped easily; even being super careful. The Sahara Blue one has much thicker paper, and I cannot explain it. I am extremely happy with the rose gold KJV and have been using it ever since it came here. The 11 size font cannot be beat for long readings. 😇
Again your enthusiasm and honest surprise about how well you like this gets me! This would be quite an investment but worth it. It’s on my wishlist! Thank you!

Okay, after a long wait, finally getting this order and being prepared not to like it just because of the delays etc., it is much better than expected. Not super crazy about gray inside covers with the green, but otherwise good. I like the size of the print. This is my second Humble Lamb.
I preordered this in blue, but with the plain gilt edge instead of the art. Should get it in a few days. But I hope I’m not disappointed. The blue you show there looks barely blue at all. Almost black. Quite different from the other blue one you showed.
8:20 Spelling error detected in the chapter heading on the top right: “Egpyt” instead of “Egypt.” Embarrassing to say the least. Can’t believe they don’t do proper proofreading for a high quality Bible like that.

At first I wasn't sure if I was going to like it for the size and the floppiness of the leather, but it's growing on me. This may seem like a strange question, but why do you like the floppy leather so much? I actually prefer a stiffer leather because I do more reading holding it my lap so the floppy gets in the way. Can you give some examples of maybe some stiffer premium bibles also that are more compact and personal sized? Or, direct me to videos you've already made covering this topic. I'm new to the premium bible scene and, well sometimes things are more confusing than clear. Thanks so much... God Bless you!

@@catfinity8799 Schuyler is quite an investment ($255), but it is guaranteed to last your lifetime and probably a few hundred years beyond. They make Bibles with the philosophy of ‘buy once.’ However, the Bible you are talking about from Anglican Press looks like it will hold up with light and reverent use, as well as proper storage. It’s really up to you - but you can’t make a mistake when buying a Sacred and Holy Bible! ☦️🙏
@@barone1865 I'll just get the Anglican one then. There's no need for a lifetime Bible if there's just going to be another better translation in 10-20 years, which there probably will be. Getting a timeless classic like a KJV for a lifetime is good, but newer ones will probably be usurped.
@@catfinity8799 I'm sure you'll be happy with it! May the Lord bless you in your endeavor. I am sure you won't need a change of translation because the ESV is pretty solid in its scholarship and literalness. If you have any problems with the binding, or just really like it, you could probably send it off to get a re-bind in a good few years. Many years!
I got one of the lesser expensive new King James Bibles that they have and it’s flawless except for one thing. The numbers to the verses are so small that even with my glasses on, I can barely read it.
Is the book of Psalms the only one that has title case at the top of the page? I have an original KJV Lion and the all book titles at the top of the page are in all caps except the book of Psalms.
Walk around your kitchen and look in your bedroom dresser drawers and closet. Where did most of those utensils and clothing items come from? Do you have a smart phone, or some other smart device? Where do you think it was manufactured? What is wrong with a Bible printed in China?
Amen! Overrated, and weirdly idolised by the KJV only brigade who almost treat it like God Himself dictated it to the translators. Textual criticism and translation methods/source texts have all rendered the 1611 KJV a relic of the past. Oh and I'm Catholic so I'd steer clear instinctively!
Poor decision/taste by humble lamb. "pre orders ship mid-april" turn into "pre-orders ship mid may" turn into them removing those statements all together while I watch a youtuber do an unboxing on an item i paid for in March with a usps update of "USPS awaiting item." smh.
Have a little grace, my friend. They can’t control how long it takes the boat to arrive or how long it has to wait at customs. They will fulfill your order as quickly as they can once they have the Bibles.

Many years!
hey Tim, can you do a video on the Schuyler Quentel NASB Full Yapp in Slate Goatskin?
Don’t have that one, sorry.
I got one of the lesser expensive new King James Bibles that they have and it’s flawless except for one thing. The numbers to the verses are so small that even with my glasses on, I can barely read it.
Tim, what do you think is the best study Bible out there? One that doesn’t get denominational or anything like that.
Video coming VERY soon!
Will they be making these in other versions besides KJV?
How does that 36gsm paper compare to the 36gsm from Royal Jongbloed that Allan has recently started using?
Not as silky smooth, but still very nice.
I wonder how many bibles are being printed each year and whether that figure is higher than Quran?
I want to like the LION but I just cant. Not a fan of the fontsize/font/text layout.
Too bad they don't offer a single-column text KJV! 😢
Will this be available in NASB Tim?
Full Yapp.
Is the book of Psalms the only one that has title case at the top of the page? I have an original KJV Lion and the all book titles at the top of the page are in all caps except the book of Psalms.
It’s still the same typesetting.
PS--this text looks quite light and gray on the video. Is that just the way it's appearing here? I'm a Schuyler guy.
It’s very blue to me.
Any version but KJV
How soon in days is "very soon" ???
I think they’re expecting them any day now.
Is it printed in China? Where is it bound? 😫
Yes. Printed and bound in China by the great team at Amity, many of whom are devoted Christ followers.
Tell them to make the Bible’s somewhere other than in China and they’ll sell more
Walk around your kitchen and look in your bedroom dresser drawers and closet. Where did most of those utensils and clothing items come from? Do you have a smart phone, or some other smart device? Where do you think it was manufactured? What is wrong with a Bible printed in China?
Who wants a new KJV bible? Not me!
Why would you not?!
@@mj-gb6tr Roman Catholic huh? That explains alot.
@@royalpriest89 Such as?
Poor decision/taste by humble lamb. "pre orders ship mid-april" turn into "pre-orders ship mid may" turn into them removing those statements all together while I watch a youtuber do an unboxing on an item i paid for in March with a usps update of "USPS awaiting item." smh.
Have a little grace, my friend. They can’t control how long it takes the boat to arrive or how long it has to wait at customs. They will fulfill your order as quickly as they can once they have the Bibles.
@@timwildsmith agreed. just wanted to temporarily sink into a lower vibrational energy to complain in that moment lol
That Bible would have been perfect, in my eyes, if the books were identified by their index names. It gets a thumbs down from me.
I’m not even sure what that means.
You are such a salesman!@.
Got the KJV Lion every time. If they have ornamental dropcaps in the next KJV I’ll definitely get more, again.
