Hello thanks for the vote of confidence - that is one video I found difficult to get it to flow🤣 I will try something else tomorrow… Hope your day is going well❤️
Nice guitar you have there I think guitars are works of art with the wood grain I don’t like painted ones I like the wood grain and color the knots and stuff great lesson you teach well thank you 👍🏻🤘🏻
Cindy, glad I found you on RUclips! I sure enjoy your lessons and observations. I like the chord progression (but I changed the A to an A7) One small thing (Not a critizism) the diagram for Bm is on the first fret making it look like a Bbm. I mention only for clarity if someone is looking at the diagrams and not you finger placements. Thank you so much for putting your knowledge and talent into these videos. Cheers! Oh! BTW, I have a MacKenzie & Mars Baby Boat and their 12 string Algonquin - best 12 string I've played. Great guitars.
Thanks for the tips on the video. About The mac and Marr 12 string. Can you believe mine is in the mail 😀 it will arrive on Friday. I finally decided to buy one❤️ I am so glad to hear you enjoy yours. Thanks again for letting know about the charts. I struggle with finding consistent charts. I will keep working at it 😀
@@guitarnotions Several years ago I was looking for a new 12 string. Ordered several (one at a time) through music mail orders. I sent them all back. Found Mackenzie & Marr online, talked with John Marr by phone, order the Algonquin 12 (I call mine Big Al) and it is now my go to guitar. Love the action! It plays easier than most of my 6 stringers - and the sound! I'm in church! You'll love your new guitar.
Thank you for all your great guitar tips. I've had a problem with my Taylor Nylon string guitar. I just had the strings changed and there is a song I play with a capo at the fifth fret and the string vibrates weird. Never had a problem with the old string. They are D'addario hard tension. It is the D string. The string was properly changed too by a professional. Any tips? Love your channel.
The string gauge may be different from what you had on there before. Does the guitar have a truss rod? It may just need a fine adjustment to raise the action. I would take it back to the person that changed the strings. This way they can evaluate the best option to adjust. They will know how to adjust the neck relief. Its very difficult to say without seeing the guitar. Hope this helps. 😀
Hi Cindy, thanks, I learn chords progression, english because I am a french from Saint Etienne. Do you know the fantastic guitar player ,songwriter Roger Hodgson, with this 12 strings guitar Guild. He plays trials chords in these wonderful songs.....have a great day too.
I have not followed his music closely by he has written dome great songs and is known for his generosity. Aldo Thank you go listening in to my channel😀
If you stop at the D⁷ it is almost the chord-progression for *Aura Lee* (or 'Love me Tender' from the 'hip-tosser 😂) If you complete it with G Gm D Dsus⁴ D
Good morning 😀 I don't necessarily. Have a method To find a progression. Some I learned from just exploring, some from listening and reading. Musicians that have studied songwriting and the theory behind it, could definitely answer this very open question much better than me. Thanks for listening in❤️
I love your progression! I was not sure how the Dm would play out to until I played it through. It moves into the closure so smoothly. Love this❤️❤️!! Thank you!
And another fun exploration. Love it. Easy to learn and very fun to play. Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks❤️
You have a very calming manner and speaking voice and this video was a delight to listen to and watch. Thank you very much. 💐
Wow, thank you too❤️
Great video again!!....that's a really big cup of tea!!
It sure is! 🤣 thanks for listening in❤️

Beautiful.

Great sized coffee/tea cup!
If you gonna have coffee or tea - have some!🤣

They are quite beautiful when left natural! Thank you so much for listening in! ❤️
Hi, im up in Yreka, just north of Weed. Really appreciate you and your lessons. Thankyou.
Loved road tripping through your area! Thanks for listening in❤️
nice !
Thank you! Cheers!😀
That's a great cup for your tea. I have one about that size here in England . I thought you only drank coffee in the USA.😅
Coffee is super popular here. But I love a good cup of tea. Do you have a favorite tea?
Thanks so much for these fantastic lessons, you have taught me so much . Thank you, best wishes from Liverpool..
You're very welcome! So glad they help❤️
1 , 3Maj7 , 6-, 1dom7 , 4 , 5 in the Nashville Number System. Nice sound
Thanks for the information on the number system Do glad you Re listening in❤️
Exactly. To me, substituting the 3major7 for the 3minor and the 1dom7 for the 1major are what gives this progression its flavor.
My wife and I were on our road trip also, we went through weeds just a day after you did. Thanks for the lesson on capos and chord progression😊
Did you get the coffee mug🤣 I enjoyed the novelty of that stop😀 Thanks for listening in!
Little Weed was a cartoon character on British TV in the sixties. The show was called Bill and Ben the flowerpot men!
@@John-ic6zo 🤣that is so funny

@@TheVitalEdge awesome. I am excited to get it. I have a Taylor 12 but I think it will be interesting to compare ❤️
@@guitarnotions Yes, I'd love to hear your thoughts, Taylor vs M & M's Big Al 🙂
very nice
many bluegrass players use the wraparound capo as it squeezes evenly ( KAT EYZ CAPO)
Leaving us hanging on that A that wants to return to D
Wow never hear of these. Looks like they are custom. There is a G7 heritage capo but they are over $200. Thanks for the information ❤️

Weed was the first time I paid a dollar for gas. I thought it was in Oregon
A dollar for gas? How long ago was that? 😀. Yes the city Weed is in Northern California area❤️
Sounds like Canon in D
I can hear that too. I love the canon in D. I have seen it played D A B F#m G D G A. Very similar. Thanks for watching

Too much talk
Ok thanks for the feedback😀
That's very nice, my lovely little lady ...
Also a very nice chord-progression I often like to use as intro f.i. is:
D Dm A F#⁷ Bm E⁷ A Asus⁴ A
I love your progression! I was not sure how the Dm would play out to until I played it through. It moves into the closure so smoothly. Love this❤️❤️!! Thank you!
@@guitarnotionsespecially when you play these with a dominant baseline ...
and I like to throw in the diminished chords ...
for example from C to C° to C⁷
@@guitarnotions you're very welcome, Cindy ❤
