I’ve also been seeing the likes and your subscribership is growing! I’m so thrilled for you. I watched many of the older videos of your channel while on vacation last week too!
You are an incredible player! I love how you always put in some interesting information about the guitar itself (like the two dot octave markers!) which is something you rarely see. I have been playing for too long to mention but got stuck on a plateau for years that drove me to quit guitar for two plus years. What really helped me get back into it was to take a step back and try to relearn stuff with the theory included. This gave me perspective and made it easier to make progress recently. I am now enamored with finger picking, which seems to be your forte. Thus I will be following your channel closely! Thanks for the wonderful tutorials!
So glad the videos are helping with your journey. There is an app called truefire that has outstanding instructions Frome some of the best players. You will find a number of videos helping one master and find there own finger style. I especially enjoyed Tommy Emmanuels introduction to finger style. I think you can purchase a single lesson or join a subscription. Check it out. Thanks again ❤️
I have a handful of lessons from Marty Schwartz and he goes into something similar with the actual A7 chord and the E7. He calls it the ‘Land of A7’ or the same for E. Very useful fills as well just like these on the E & G string you just showed us, I’m sure there’s a ton more too out there too. I always love learning little fills and especially in E or A so I can pedal on those low strings when I’m running out of ideas to play on a backing track lol! Anyhow, thanks for sharing these! Your channel’s always a relaxing place to come to in the morning as I’m sipping my first few coffees for the day ( Yes, I love coffee too ahah! ). You have a great day and thanks again, Tommy~
I am so glad to hear you are enjoying the videos. I also appreciate your feedback on the content. I hope you have an awesome day! Enjoy that coffee. ❤️
@@guitarnotions I have been playing guitar or I should say playing AT guitar for many years. First started in my early teens when I lost interest in piano. I used to play along with friends who were all learning together and we learnt off each other and had fun. As we goy older we drifted apart and moved away and I reached a place where my playing stagnated, just reached a point where I play the same few pieces over and again. Tried a few sites on line (mainly RUclips) but they were either too advanced with music theory or too simple and early learning - then I found your site! I love your gentle easy way of teaching and the level is just right. I enjoy the little bits of information and asides too. Thank you so much for what you do. Please keep it up 😁 John
@@johnharris8892 I am so happy to hear the videos are helpful. I am striving to create a channel where every level can meet, learn and share. Thank you so much for listening and sharing your experiences❤️
I tell you my dog Waldo smiles and tail wags when he approves usually not when I’m guitar playing usually sleeps through it ..then I was practicing these past three lessons he came out of a sound sleep grinning like a Cheshire Cat wagging ears up I knew I was on the right track ! Thanks for these nice lessons not every day Waldo shows that many pearly whites !
Hi... tuning in for a night cap... I do coffee..... Tonare... reminds me of a 50s name. Good sound. The tip for nut was good. I Had some files but was not too impressed with them probably tried to save too much.
Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts. So glad your neighbor is walking about. I use to work in emergency room and after seeing the outcome of some motorcycle wrecks I have seen first hand how dangerous they can be. Thanks again for sharing your guitar experiences. 😀
I appreciate you and your lessons but listening to your talk about coffee and all other things is really not necessary in a guitar lesson. Also, you seem like a very nice person.
I am so glad you are listening in. If you have a iphone and you listen -hold your finger on the video it will fast forward. You know they say women have 13,000 more words a day than men 🤣
These little finger fill ins have been a lot of fun! I’ve been playing them every day ❤
Oh good. I have one more to share tomorrow. It will be in the key of A 😀
