Ha ha, 5 people don't like this review... they must hate that awesome 9,000 RPM screaming 3.8, amazing handling and instant gear shifts. Good for them!
The best independent review series by far. Clear commentary, and beautifully framed driving shots which are long enough to appreciate the car. Keep up the great work!
Another awesome review Guido! Really loved your excitement, passion and enthusiasm in this review Guido! I think as much as I love the Targa, this GT3 is still my favorite modern Porsche. That sweet engine going all the way to 9,000 rpm is mind blowing and sounds so good. The car looks amazing to me too, and I really like that it sounds like it's more comfortable than the previous GT3. Your comments towards the end about making the GT3 better by changing it was really profound and totally makes sense. You're right, I think the 997 GT3 is probably the ultimate manual 911, and I think PDK is really the only way to truly take it to the next level. Thanks for the great review!
I was so excited for this review, that I had to save it until I had the time to watch it and rewatch it with complete focus. This is the best review you have ever done, not to say the others are anything else than exceptional. I love it. This car is just...
Drove the car yesterday, and I 100% agree Getawayer, with every single thing you said about the car and your conclusion in this clip. Hats off to Preuninger, what they did is magic. I couldn't believe how the car and engine and transmission felt. How bulletproof it felt. How MANIC and savage, yet so refined and state-of-the-art technical. I have no adequate words of how superlative this machine is. Forget money, there is nobody that makes cars like Porsche Motorsport.
Neezer D Thanks ! Yes it is a truely great car. Really hope I can make a GT3 RS review happen to see if they really were able to make this car even better :)
Last October I went to Porsche's Experience Center in Atlanta. We finished driving all the cars and then they brought out the GT4 and the GT3 RS for us to ride as passengers in, and the drivers were professionals. WOW. The GT4 was amazing but the RS was another level. The cornering grip was just ... you guys wouldn't believe. The engine was of course stronger than the GT3 we had driving around that morning ourselves, but man, the traction of the RS ... holy hell! :)
Last year, I bought a low mileage 2003 996 GT3 RS, and I love it. Bought it from a Porsche dealer, with full service history, together with modified intake/inlet manifold, exhaust headers, wheels and tyres Dyno says I have 528Hp at the crank with 485 at the wheels. I'm saving up my pennies to replace all the discs/calipers with colour coded (monza red) units. I'll send in some photo's when it's all done. N.
Commenting only 8yrs after this was published...😄 But, one of the best GT3 reviews ever, well worth of coming back to it from time to time, just honest driving experience with beautiful driving and sound shots. Extremely well done! 👏🏼👏🏼🔝
Very interesting review my friend. Clearly the GT3 is the most driver focused car in the range but do you think it would work as a daily driver? Next year I plan to switch the M4 back to a 991 and I have not considered a GT3 because it just seems to harsh to use as a daily driver. What are your thoughts?
I'm not sure if you are still looking however if you are then purchase a Porsche Carrera 4 GTS, it's just like a GT3 but with more daily usability and it's offered in a 7 speed manual, if you have already replaced your M4 what did you buy?
Hi Nick, I know this answer is 3 years late and I think you already bought a regular 991 already. But since that one should be getting old now and I'm sure you are looking for something new. So I'd like to encourage you to get a GT3 (if you can get one) As a daily you might think about the seats (take the adjustable ones) and maybe about the rollcage if you want to put your dog somewhere. But other than that take the damn thing! It is way more exciting than the GTS. Way more!!! The GTS is a boring car in comparison. But if you have balls of football-size there is no other car for you.
Well done Guido, great review! What a monster she is, that metallic bite to the engine note right before you pulled the paddle is something else. I can only imagine how that car feels to drive!
This review made me buy a Porsche,i never drove a Porsche in my life , I was always an E46 M3 enthusist ,,,I never test drove the car when I bought it , I just bought it and I drove`it on my way home,,this was the craziest feeling for me.
Well I come back to this review after a few years and I have to say that although we still have great sounding N/A engines in the GT3's, this one sounds somehow better than the 991.2 and 992 engines. The intake noise at "lower" rpm's (like 4-7K) + the "zing" sound it makes when reaching the redline is something else. The new ones sound cleaner/more synthetic. PS What I really like in such reviews compared to big magazines is the onboard audio. Hearing you speak up, in order to break through the engine and road noise really gives a better sense of the driving experience. I don't like it, when the reviewer is all miced up, and all we can hear is a little bit of engine noise in the background. In the end it's a drive review, not a podcast ;)
I think your reviews have won over the past tests my subscription, a new favorite video and my respect. You describe the experience very well. Love the video!
100 km/h speed limit sucks but that's what ours is here in Canada. If we get caught doing 50 km/h over the speed limit the driver gets a $10,000 fine and the car is impounded. That speeding fine works and has slowed down our drivers. Most people outside the country I inform about that speed fine don't believe me, however, it does exist here in Ontario, Canada. Keep up the great work Guido.
As always brilliant review. What a car though. I have to agree with you about the gearbox. So many people complain about cars not being manual, but with that much power and responsiveness could anyone actually benefit from a manual? Epic work though keep it up!
Finally all the petition paid off and Porsche listened to all your fans :) and let you review the 991 GT3. Superb review and many interesting points that touch on the evolution of the new GT3 and how it differs (in a better way) then the predecessor. Guido as always I enjoy your reviews. Keep them coming.
rokan81 Thanks buddy ! It was about time haha, so many people had asked me for it. But after the first test was cancled in March because of those engine problems, it just took a while until the press cars were back on the road ( customer cars had priority ). I'm very proud I finally had the chance to review my dreamcar ( at least on sale today ) and it didn't disappoirnt :) Greetings from germany, Guido
Yes, I did get my 991 GT3 with PDK and its a step up from 997 which no question about it, is an amazing car. The new 991 Engine /PDK package wakes me up, it makes me feel 16 again (go-karting) its manic and savage, its priceless.
This is the best review of the new 991 GT3..! Hands down.. Awesome review Guido. I think this is my new dreamcar. Close second the 997 GT3 3.8. Wow what a car
Not gonna lie Guido, when I saw the thumbnail I immediately went "YOU FINALLY DID IT" Good to see that the 991 is everything and more than what it's expected to be. Now all you gotta do is hound a 918 owner for a little review lol
lam neth You know, nothing feels like a manual and I think we can agree on the fact that the 997 GT3 in all its variations is the best manual car ever made...I tried to be as honest about this in this video as possible and I hope that comes across...But I'm just as honest about the GT3's PDK. Please don't compare it to any other flappy paddle and not even the normal 991 PDK ! It feels different in so many ways, from driving off up to those insane shifts at the 9000 rpm redline. It is a wonderful experience. Try to test drive it and I would love to hear what you think about it. Greetings, Guido / TheGetawayer
The Tameless Creeper Thanks buddy ! It is stunning to look at and get's many looks too. Can't remember driving a Porsche and people snapped photos with their phones like I experienced it with the GT3 :)
I had a chance to drive one of these on a track today along with a 458 and a huracan. I have to say that out of the 3 this car was the one that has single handedly ruined driving for me. This car is an absolute BEAST and nothing else I've driven even comes close to it.
I am happy that my guess was wrong. It's a GT3! Congratulations that you finally got this car. I enjoyed this review very much. Keep up with your good work!
Jeffrey Texcell Thank you very much Jeffrey ! Feedback like this is a huge motivation for me and hopefully gives me the chance to produce more content :)
Guido, GT3 is realy great, in my opinion best driver`s car but your review of this car is by far best car review i ever watched, you put a great effort to provide us a feeling that we just drived GT3. Thank you for everything you do.
topexotics : Haha, thanks ! Well, there were two 918s parked when I picked up the GT3. Truely amazing to see them inperson. But trust me, getting these cars is very hard for me and I don't like hearing a ' No ' from Porsche. If they offered it, I would do it, but I'm happy testing slower cars at the moment ;)
I'm digging this "TheGetawayer's" videos. He doesn't try to copy the Top Gear UK cinematography aesthetic like so many youtube video makers try to and fail miserably. He has his own aesthetic and it's pretty nice. Ok, about the car. Wow. I was misinformed before by some friends, and I thought it only revved to 8500 rpm, but it's actually 9000 rpm! And I was under the impression it only made somewhere in the low 400 hp range, but it makes 475 hp from a naturally aspirated 3.8L boxer 6. WOW. And I thought he was going to forget to mention it, but he did at the end, about how one can pull back on both paddles at the same time and it has the effect of "putting the clutch in" and then letting go is like "dropping the clutch" for some sideways hooligan action. That was a brilliant touch by Porsche that I'm surprised other car makers have not built into their paddle shift dual-clutch cars. With other regular paddle shift cars, as most of us know, pulling back on both paddles at the same time just puts the car into neutral. But all in all, the new 911 GT3 is amazing. I have amassed quite a bit of expendable income to treat myself to a awesome machine (after 30 years in the aerospace biz, I deserve the treat I think) and the new 911 GT3 is number 2 on my list of potentials. First on my list is an AMG in-house custom SLS AMG gullwing car. I'm gonna lay down the extra cash and have them build me an SLS AMG with all the go fast parts from the Black Series (the engine upgrade, the lighter backbone, the titanium exhaust), but none of the aero bits, like the boy-racer fixed mini GT3 rear wing. So it would be a Black Series underneath, but have the gorgeous lines of the "regular" SLS AMG which is an almost perfect modern day interpretation of the 300SL gullwing cars of the '50s. I'm gonna have it in silver with a red interior, and black or steel-look brake calipers instead of those tacky yellow ones. But the decision gets harder and harder with every new 911 GT3 video I see. And again, well done TheGetawayer for pulling off your own unique cinematography aesthetic that looks awesome. And nice review. Well done.
Sandra Rios Thank you so much for the detailed feedback, Sandra ! I wish I had a review on the SLS that I could share, but since they won't built them much longer, it seems like I missed that chance...Keep in mind that the GT3 is a much more focused car for track use, compared to the SLS...I think the transmission of the GT3 is far superior too, but the SLS especially with those Black Series upgrades, is a monster...Hard decision :) Please let me know what you end up getting and share a picture via my facebook-page at facebook.com/getawayerTV ... Greetings from germany, Guido aka TheGetawayer
TheGetawayer Wow, thanks for the reply! Yeah, I really enjoyed the videos of yours that I've seen. You have a unique and very nice aesthetic to your cinematography, instead of those who try to copy Top Gear UK's aesthetic and fail horribly, like I mentioned in another post. As for the cars, yes, the 911 GT3 is a much more track oriented car. A while back, during a European vacation, I visited your country of Germany and went to the Nurburgring and was fortunate enough to be able to get a ride with Sabine Schmitz herself in her 'Ring Taxi! And as she was sliding the car around with ease and calm, after learning that I was later going to be doing a few laps of my own of the 'Ring in a rented 911 GT3, she gave me some great tips, like how to take that high speed left hand kink approaching the almost 180 degree right hand sweeper near the end of sector 1, and where to aim the car for a nice drop into the Carousel and the mini Carousel that comes later. She was extremely nice and it was great to meet her. She's like a star to me. So they're going to stop making the SLS now that they're selling the GT? I thought they were going to keep the SLS AMG around and the new GT was going to be like a baby SLS. Wow, I really need to decide soon if they are in fact going to end production of the SLS. But you're right. I test drove both (I test drove a Black Series, because underneath the body work, that's what my car is going to drive like) and the 911 GT3 was definitely more track focused, but the SLS can hold it's own during a track day, then clean up nicely and be the beautiful car it is for driving around town. And it is so neat how they made it so that pulling back on both paddles at the same time is like putting in the clutch, and letting go is like "dropping the clutch," as opposed to other paddle shift cars where doing so just puts the car into neutral. And getting the stick to operate correctly in regards to what happens when you pull it back or push it forward was also a much needed change. But I cannot believe how other makers of automated-manual, twin-clutch cars have yet to adopt the way pulling back on both paddles at the same time is like using the clutch. But yes, I will be sure to post a picture of my purchase and I on your Facebook page when I've made the decision and put my money down. Thanks again for the reply and for making your great videos. Keep it up!
Getawayer, Great Review!!! At one point while you were on the Autobaun I thought you were going to mess your pants. I could tell you couldn't believe the amount of acceleration and speed the GT3 had. I was wondering when you were going to let off, and it was the gift that kept giving!!! lol!!!!
Dezz D Haha, thanks Dezz ! Well, I couldn't get it up to the speeds I had hoped I would, because there was just too much traffic...Full 5th gear was maximum that day. But since I had a Targa 4S before for a test and vmaxed that car, I was just very impressed how much harder the GT3 pulls at the top end. It honestly feels like a bigger difference than 75hp. Short gears help that too. I just wasn't ready for this much of a difference :)
Perfect review. Very clear explanations and beautiful pictures. Keep on like this, you are doing a very good job... Looking forward to watching more of this kind.
Very good review Guido. You manage to keep a good balance of being impressed but focussed on the details, which makes your reviews a lot more trustworthy than others Ive seen. Good job and nice to see you are cruising around the backroads of my ODW neighbourhood. Didnt realize that before. Maybe you should consider something Nick has done and look at the classics as well. E24s, E28s and E30s sure deserve more attention these days.
lastnightsfavorite: Thanks buddy ! Yeah all my videos are filmed there apart from the Turbo S one where I was invited to the Bilster Berg Driving Resort which was fantastic...The problem about these older cars is finding them and getting the chance to drive them. And honestly, unless I get something like my friends 997 GT3, who told me I could basically drive like I want and go hard...Mmmmhh, I prefer getting press cars that aren't attached to a proud owner...Insurance is also a problem...Thanks for the great comment !
TheGetawayer Yeah, I see your point as I wouldnt allow anyone to drive my cars as I would drive them myself. On the other hand there is no need to thrash the old classics around as Nick also demonstrates in his own way. Appreciating the details, pointing out the little things and talk about the sensations of the car. The smell of the 80s and early 90s Beemers is worth noting for example. Anyway...keep those reviews coming. No need to give up if there are still manufacturers and enthusiasts providing you with cars. The time invested is surely appreciated by your audience!
lastnightsfavorite : The Porsche Museum let's people test and film some of their cars...My relationship with BMW is very bad since they refuse to give me press cars for no reason. So I don't really feel like filming any of their cars at the moment :)
Hello Guido, i have watched most of your reviews and this one at 4:05 to 4:40 would have to be one of the funniest facial expressions i have seen in a long time, I still laugh every time i play this review for friends, thank you for that wonderful review, when finances i will be purchasing 981 GTS Cayman, i have found all your reviews to be informative and excellent, Again Thankyou friend,, Please keep up the great work,, John From Australia
Congrats for finally driving your dream car! I would like to request some videos of air cooled 911s if possible. It would be great to see some review footages straight from Germany.
Just wanted to say I really enjoy your videos and especially your thoughts on 911's. I too am a big fan of Porsche, 911's, and Germany so that's why I subbed too you. Keep up the great work.
Thanks for the great review again. I almost feel as I'm experiencing driving this beautiful car by myself. Keep the great work. GT3 is my dream car... one day, one day might become reality lol. I really love your reviews. Good luck.
The best super sport car, the best review, the best expressions, terrific video, i enjoyed alot watching it many times, bless you Guido, and keep going and shot reviews like this, its really pure enthusiast chioce to fall in love with this piece of Art... i m planning to get one soon, thank you.
Great review, great channel and, most importantly, great reviewer! After having followed your reviews for months I decided to switch to my first Porsche. It's not a 911 yet and it's not petrol, mainly beacause of my actual lifestyle and the ammount of km I have to cover every week. But I'll get to a proper 911 sooner or later. For the moment I'll enjoy the Porsche brand with my new Macan S Diesel which is due to the dealership in less than 15 days and I can't wait! Thanks again for your reviews that keep my dream alive! All the support from Italy boss!!
umbspilot87 Thank you very much ! Hope your ownership of the Macan will be a great experience and you enjoy the car. I still haven't had the chance to review it !
Great review, I'm sure it was quite an experience to review the GT3 (or any GT3 for that matter...). It's an extraordinary machine, no doubt, and terribly efficient on the track and on the road. Personally I would still have a manual 997 GT3 despite its 'defects'. That initial 4th gear acceleration up to 9k sounded epic!
Excellent review. I've always loved the GT3 since the very first time I laid eyes on a 996 model many years ago. This 991 looks exceptional. Makes me want to drive one. Still, I would probably go for a used 997 over a 991.
Very convincing analogy , you have convinced me to save even more money than I have been saving to attain the Porsche 911 GT3 (991) . as early as possible . No distractions I guess for another 6 months, or more !
Philipp Behrendt I will do my very best to bring you more soon, thanks for the very awesome feedback Philipp ! Greetings from germany, Guido / TheGetawayer
ewt415 : Haha, well there was traffic it wasn't the speed. I had the last Targa 4S I tested at 300kph a few times, just didn't film it. Thanks for watching !
Great review as always! I appreciate your honest and balanced reviews. The one issue I have with the new generation 991 cars is that they have become so compliant that you really need to have them tacked up and breaking legal speed limits to feel the rawness of the car. This is why I still prefer the 997 generation. The excitement starts from the minute you drive off-you dont have to be doing crazy speeds to get the sense of excitement from the car. In practicality how often can you tack up a 991 GT3 to 9000 rpm on city streets without losing your license. Thanks again for a great review.
torontocannuck You are very welcome and I'm glad you enjoy the videos ! What you say is true, the 997 generation is something else. I still consider the 997 GT3 my favourite car. But the GT3 of the 991 was a great car to drive never the less. I was surprised how much more I like it than the normal Carreras and the Turbo. The speed is abit of a problem though, even here in germany :) Still a great car. I would have both a 991 GT3 and a 997 GT3, if money was unlimited :)
My head tells me that the PDK is by far the best transmission ever made. Superior in every way to everything that has come before. My heart still prefers a manual.
I know what you mean. I love a proper stick shift but you can't help but notice all of these luxury cars and sports car coming with paddle shifters. Plus the faster shift time. It's a tough decision. I would definitely be open to trying out a dual clutch system since I have never driven one before.
I traded in my '11 911 turbo S on a '14. Both have PDKs and both perform flawlessly. I have absolutely no complaints with either. In fact the '14 may be automotive perfection. It does everything very well and can do it in the rain. Having said that I usually drive my much slower '97 Turbo S or my even slower '73. Both of which have manual transmissions. They are just more fum.
Excellent as always but with the addition of actual surprise and awe from your voice and facial expressions. It is still the car i would buy if i won the lottery, you can keep your Aventador, F12 and 650s, the GT3 is an exceptional car and a bargain at the price. Thanks for the video.
TheGetawayer Non problemo Guido. I've really enjoyed this review a lot. Your passion and enthusiasm for the car was very nice to watch. Porsche should put this engine and gearbox in a non-spoilered, less flashy car...
Ganz hervorragende Testreview dieses einmaligen Autos. F. Piech würde wohl sagen: Es macht einfach Spass!
Hi Guido, i had the 997 Turbo S and trade it for this new GT3, which i have been driving for almost 6 months, apart for the the 3 months for the engine change... and i think it is a very usable every day even though its track oriented configuration... don't know how many kms your test car had , but after 2000 kms the engine sound is even better all the time and it's even faster..., loving every minute of the driving experience...
porschers60spyder Thanks for this awesome comment and congrats for owning such a Beauty ! The car I drove had 17.000 km on the clock and had already been tested by EvoTV ( watch their car of the year Video ) and others...It sounded amazing :) Send me a Picture of yours to my faceookpage, would love to see it :) Greetings, Guido

Brian Westfield Thank you very much Brian ! I'm very happy to get such postive feedback !
This car is my life motivation.
I know that one day, i will own one :)
Amen bud
+dominic graber it's not that expensive compared to an aventador.. definitely my dream car.. and like u said one day i'll also own 1..
Better hurry the price is going skywards and spiralling out of control!
The GTR was mine, now I have one. My next car will be the GT3.
one of the most beautiful cars you can buy, and possibly the best handling sports car on the planet..loved this.

Just watching the first couple seconds with the GT3 pulling up had me grinning from ear to ear. Its just such an awesome machine.
Nitrotech23 Thanks ! Glad I was able to capture that on video :)

My favourite car review videos on RUclips right now. Can't get enough! Great job!!

Nick Murray yeah lot of people saying the 911 gts more easier to drive and not so noisy as gt3.....

That 9,000 rpm on the Autobahn sent a chill down my spine! Another fantastic review, Mr. TheGetawayer!
DtRockstar1 Thanks buddy ! Wouldn be a great car for a future Rockstar Ride :D
TheGetawayer
lol Yes it sure would! :)
AWESOME REVIEW!! Is this color Lava orange or Guards Red?
Thanks!
Congratz bro, you really deserved it.
Flawless review as always ;)
CarsFan : Thank you very much !
Well done Guido, great review! What a monster she is, that metallic bite to the engine note right before you pulled the paddle is something else. I can only imagine how that car feels to drive!
RandomReviews : Thanks buddy ! Hope you bring us more car reviews soon :)

Cool to read, John! What Porsche do you drive? :)
The GT3 is my dream car so I can't stop watching this very well made video. Thank you sir for giving us a tour of Porsche heaven!
Speed00007 You are very welcome, I'm glad you enjoy the video !
Following you from the USA, thank you for making these short films, you have a wonderful perspective on these cars. Really enjoy watching.
+MMS471 Thank you very much, happy to hear that ! Greetings from germany !
Finally! as a current 997 gt3 owner I've been waiting for this review from you. Now my turn to go test drive one :)
roy kwon : Awesome ! Please come back after the test drive and tell me what you think !
Thank you! Really enjoyed reading your comment! I later switched to a lav mic too, but you are right, it's a different sound experience for sure!
Awesome review! Nearly 1 million views! The viewers have spoken! Incredible!!
I think your reviews have won over the past tests my subscription, a new favorite video and my respect. You describe the experience very well. Love the video!
korenyim Thank you very much !
Here's a comment before I view! I'm really happy for you that you got a chance to review this car because I can imagine how much it means to you.
Michael Herron : Haha, thanks Michael ! Hope you enjoyed the video !
Yes, very enjoyable! You make some good points and observations. Keep up the good work.
Finally a Porsche that sounds properly amazing! I love the new shape 911
Hi seen through glass
+Seen Through Glass Doesn't backfire like your Jag, but its quite something :)
Hey Guido , this is my favorite of all your channel video, no doubt :)
+C0RRAD0VR6Storm It's the most viewed one, so haha, glad you like it too :D
100 km/h speed limit sucks but that's what ours is here in Canada. If we get caught doing 50 km/h over the speed limit the driver gets a $10,000 fine and the car is impounded. That speeding fine works and has slowed down our drivers. Most people outside the country I inform about that speed fine don't believe me, however, it does exist here in Ontario, Canada. Keep up the great work Guido.
How about 10 kmh over the limit
+Mohawk C feel your pain bro :) greetings from germany
As always brilliant review. What a car though. I have to agree with you about the gearbox. So many people complain about cars not being manual, but with that much power and responsiveness could anyone actually benefit from a manual?
Epic work though keep it up!
Paul McGuire Thanks Paul ! Glad you enjoyed the video ! Greetings from germany, Guido aka TheGetawayer
Good stuff man! Been eagerly awaiting this. Much respect from SRI LANKA!!!!
This is the best review of the new 991 GT3..! Hands down.. Awesome review Guido. I think this is my new dreamcar. Close second the 997 GT3 3.8. Wow what a car
sasajungic89 Thanks buddy ! I'm glad I was able to finally share my impressions on the 991 GT3 :)
Not gonna lie Guido, when I saw the thumbnail I immediately went "YOU FINALLY DID IT" Good to see that the 991 is everything and more than what it's expected to be. Now all you gotta do is hound a 918 owner for a little review lol
Kayvon Sari Haha, thanks ! If Porsche gave me a 918 I would film it for sure. But I doubt that will happen just out of the box, haha :)
Brilliant review, Guido! Yes... PDK only... get over it guys! ;)
never
lam neth You know, nothing feels like a manual and I think we can agree on the
fact that the 997 GT3 in all its variations is the best manual car ever
made...I tried to be as honest about this in this video as possible and I
hope that comes across...But I'm just as honest about the GT3's PDK.
Please don't compare it to any other flappy paddle and not even the
normal 991 PDK ! It feels different in so many ways, from driving off up
to those insane shifts at the 9000 rpm redline. It is a wonderful
experience. Try to test drive it and I would love to hear what you think
about it. Greetings, Guido / TheGetawayer
The best driver comparison I've seen or heard on this the 991 GT3 vs the 997 GT3.
Great review!
John Roth Thanks !
Brilliant review Guido!! The GT3 is an absolutely beautiful car, maybe even the most beautiful Porsche... :D
The Tameless Creeper Thanks buddy ! It is stunning to look at and get's many looks too. Can't remember driving a Porsche and people snapped photos with their phones like I experienced it with the GT3 :)
It's an awesome car for sure!
Awesome car and great review, as always! Great camera and sound work. The sound of the engine approaching nine thousand rpm is glorious!
Thanks ! Even better inperson trust me. :)
Bullitt Thanks so much ! Glad you enjoyed the video !
My dream car...one day ! Guido, great review, we need more content you are the best motor reviewer by far, get your hands on the new 911 992 4S.
Die Reviews haben mittlerweile eine faszinierende Qualität, Respekt!
Chris P. : Freut mich sehr wenn sie Dir gefallen ! Danke :)
Guido, GREAT REVIEW! Man, I really got the sense and character of the car and your enthusiasm is authentic and contagious. Thanks!
Jeffrey Texcell Thank you very much Jeffrey ! Feedback like this is a huge motivation for me and hopefully gives me the chance to produce more content :)
my absolute dream car
At the end of the video (17:29) you said it: “It’s a totally different and less mechanical driving experience than the old 997…”. That, I agree.
That hard mechanical noise ... hardcore!
One of the best reviews. Thank u for this.....
You are very welcome !
Guido, GT3 is realy great, in my opinion best driver`s car but your review of this car is by far best car review i ever watched, you put a great effort to provide us a feeling that we just drived GT3. Thank you for everything you do.
demon7151 : I'm happy you enjoyed the video ! Thanks for watching !
Great video. These are getting better and better. I think you're my favourite reviewer after Chris Harris.
Brilliant review Guido, for me the best one to date. Now I hope Porsche lets you get your hands on the 918.
topexotics : Haha, thanks !
Keep it up!
Very good objective review. Will buy gt3 when I get a job
Loved the review.😊👍superb ....my new dream Porsche.
Thank you!
As usual your videos are awesome. Your enthusiasm is what made my buy my 2014 cayman S a few months ago. good work
Every time I think I have made a decision (Turbo S) a new model comes out. I believe this is the one. Great video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
***** Thank ! I hear these are sold out already, so you will have to get either a used one or a new GT3 RS :)
Perfect review. Very clear explanations and beautiful pictures. Keep on like this, you are doing a very good job... Looking forward to watching more of this kind.
Benoit Mineur Thanks Benoit ! Glad you enjoyed the video !
I finally got one of my own! Great review and great car! Best looking 911 in my biased opinion. Haha
TheGetawayer
Yeah, I see your point as I wouldnt allow anyone to drive my cars as I would drive them myself.
TheGetawayer "My relationship with BMW is very bad since they refuse to give me press cars for no reason."
Darn....
Shift4g
Yes, I get this question so many times. It's a shame :/
Audio in this video was great. Love the engine sound
Love the review Guido :)
***** Thanks Sjoerd !

John From Australia
Congrats for finally driving your dream car! I would like to request some videos of air cooled 911s if possible. It would be great to see some review footages straight from Germany.
Just wanted to say I really enjoy your videos and especially your thoughts on 911's. I too am a big fan of Porsche, 911's, and Germany so that's why I subbed too you. Keep up the great work.
The Exhaust Note Thank you very much ! Glad you enjoy the videos !
Thanks for the great review again. I almost feel as I'm experiencing driving this beautiful car by myself. Keep the great work. GT3 is my dream car... one day, one day might become reality lol. I really love your reviews. Good luck.
Peter Zurek Thanks Peter !
What a great review. I could feel the car through your expressions. I can only imagine driving a monster like that.
Specialized61 It's a great experience, glad to hear some of it came across in the video :)
Really enjoyed the review, the fine details and pragmatic approach - subscribed!
MrSlash00r Thank you very much ! Glad you enjoyed the video !

abcy alsitiny Thanks for the amazing feedback ! I hope you let me know how you like the car when you're getting it !
Great review, very interesting comments and approval of this exciting new generation of the GT3.
Doug Hanson Thanks, glad you enjoyed the video !
Pedro Venda : Thanks Pedro ! It was a great experience and I'm glad I could share it with you guys !
Excellent review. I've always loved the GT3 since the very first time I laid eyes on a 996 model many years ago. This 991 looks exceptional. Makes me want to drive one.
Still, I would probably go for a used 997 over a 991.
This is your best video yet!
mugdays : Thanks ! I'm glad you like it !
Great video my car was finished on the 2nd oct delivery within 3 weeks to UK can't wait!!!!
Awesome ! Please send me picture to my fb-page when it arrives !
Very convincing analogy , you have convinced me to save even more money than I have been saving to attain the Porsche 911 GT3 (991) . as early as possible .
No distractions I guess for another 6 months, or more !
willybizz Keep me updated :)
hey there. pls continue making your excellent car reviews. yours are the best ones out there!
Philipp Behrendt I will do my very best to bring you more soon, thanks for the very awesome feedback Philipp ! Greetings from germany, Guido / TheGetawayer
Love your reviews! Keep up the great work!👍🏾
Great review, you are pure car lover and Porsche fan!
nikola jovanovic I am :) Thank you for watching Nikola !
You looked like you were hanging on for dear life on the Autobahn, haha. Great review as always.
ewt415 : Haha, well there was traffic it wasn't the speed. I had the last Targa 4S I tested at 300kph a few times, just didn't film it. Thanks for watching !
My new favorite youtube channel! Keep up the good work!
Troy Anthony Thanks Troy ! Glad you enjoyed the video !
Ein weiterer Beweis dass man Fakten aus irgendwelchen Artikel glauben sollte aber niemals den Emotionen und Eindrücken die einem geschildert werden
Das musst Du mir mal erklären :)
I'm so happy for you. You have no idea. Good vid!
Fumofu! Thanks !
I would have both a 991 GT3 and a 997 GT3, if money was unlimited :)
one of the best cars in the world.
GREAT video thank you!!!
kjuu : Thanks for watching !
Thank you very much for this in depth review ! And giving one the sense of test driving the car on your own..
Steven Dhanjal You are very welcome, Steven ! Thanks for watching !
991 gt3 is my 1st favorite car yes better than rs yes
My head tells me that the PDK is by far the best transmission ever made. Superior in every way to everything that has come before. My heart still prefers a manual.
I think dual clutch is
PDK is a dual clutch/dual transmission.
I know what you mean. I love a proper stick shift but you can't help but notice all of these luxury cars and sports car coming with paddle shifters. Plus the faster shift time. It's a tough decision. I would definitely be open to trying out a dual clutch system since I have never driven one before.
AJ VanGorden I have a dual clutch and boy... I miss my stick. Even in traffic!! It keeps me from going crazy!!
Your reviews are getting better :)
Excellent as always but with the addition of actual surprise and awe from your voice and facial expressions. It is still the car i would buy if i won the lottery, you can keep your Aventador, F12 and 650s, the GT3 is an exceptional car and a bargain at the price. Thanks for the video.
muzman777 : Thanks for watching !
Very, very nice video! Glad you were finally able to drive the car! :-)
Suzanne Feyens : Thanks Suzanne ! Sorry again it wasn't a Cayman GTS ;)
TheGetawayer
Non problemo Guido.
TheGetawayer
Damn! I've never heard *anything* like the GT3 at top engine speed. It's a very emotionally stirring sound.
This post made me buy this car lol :)))
The car I drove had 17.000 km on the clock and had already been tested by EvoTV ( watch their car of the year Video ) and others...It sounded amazing :) Send me a Picture of yours to my faceookpage, would love to see it :) Greetings, Guido
that humble smile@ 01:28 says everything! thx for that video
Darek Nowak : It sure does :) Thanks for watching !
Excellent video and excellent commentary. Thank you.
+davidelias13 You are very welcome, thanks for watching !
That sound is such an experience.
Excellently thorough review, as always.
airblizzard Thanks for watching !
Looks like all the sports car you would ever need!
Great review.
Thanks !
