Reminds me of my youth. 60 years ago I used to make aircraft wing and fuselage components in duralumin , sometimes it was a two man operation. The wheeling machines were a casting. Always enjoy your videos. Regards from England.
Man if you had a youtube channel showing what you just said it would be pretty popular. I'd love watching and learning how to make airplanes. I'd love to build me an old ww2 fighter plane with those mustang engines. Even a smaller scaled down version would be the bees knees.
@@ChristopherJones16 It is all done with large powerful presses now. Aircraft 'skins' were rivetted, now welded.
@@roncooper6302 riveted sounds like it was easier to fix damaged skins no? Just drill out the rivets pop the panel out and pop a new one. The old timers really made quality machines and were masters of the KISS principle.
your welding is of such quality that can be used in space to be keeping atmoshere in........if you give this man a lot of steel in orbit, he and his welder will ensure a space wheel capable for humans to safely reside in..........the stuff you build...........i have seen 50+ of your videos, so this compliment is much deserved........i learn by watching you.......i hope everyone else values it as much too.......great work Make It Extreme......
I had never heard of an English wheel until I watched this video. After watching I went to google to learn more about the uses and history. Thank you MAKE IT EXTREME. I like to learn something everyday. Your videos are awesome.
peggyt1243 Have a look at Wray Schelin at at pro metal shaper. He's on RUclips.
I looked at the channel. Too much information for me but it looks ideal for guys who restore cars.
there is "Lazze" on youtube, high quality metal work. And the company Eastwood has videos with good stuff for beginners.
Thank you Simpolicious but I am purely a spectator. I enjoy these guys in Turkey for the variety of projects they do. They are climbing up to 700k subs and will hit a million in a few months. I have been a sub since they were at the 7k mark.
I love ALL what you and Jeremy Schmidt/ The Grinder+Wood Bowler/. Both of you and VERY FEW OTHERS are in depth devout workers. Keep up and I am ALWAYS with you.
best way to start the morning. watching something awesome being built
I have been racking my brain trying to make a Dome Support and couldn’t get the steel I have bent to the needed profile, and you just solved the problem. The funny thing about it is I have made Laminated Furniture, Beams, Roofs and I never made the jump from wood to steel until I watched you make your English Wheel, you are truly brilliant and a pleasure to watch, THANK you for helping me.
It's spectacular what you do with the metal, a greeting from Alicante (Spain)
Thank you!
This is one very talented man. What can be called a true craftsman.
Молодец, решился и сделал. Спасибо за видео, успехов в творчестве
Nice project. Very functional and practical with an elegantly simple design!
This is the most solid EW I've ever seen!
And that roller!
Truly outstanding stuff!
That video taught me a lot. I wouldn't be hesitant to make one now with steel I had in my shop. Thanks
I don’t think people understand how badass these guys really are!!! They make Jimmy Diresta look like an amateur!!
The best thing about this channel is that we get to see you using your previous creations when building new ones.
No more words to say how skilled you are! Good job... as every your job!
A+ as always. loved the beam bending. you are a genius
wow Sir..you are the prime example of the old saying "Need a tool, make a tool!" Bravo!
Respekt!!! Cooles Teil!!!
So eins fehlt mir auch noch. Liebe Grüße aus Ostfriesland.
Too easy. Do something hard. Rockets, robots, or time travel please.
Sie verstehen nur griechisch oder englisch, nimm einfach google tranlator :).
In this case 'extreme' is an understatement!
First: Just absolutely awesome!!! (Bending that girder the way you did was incredible)
Second: I have yet to understand why ANYONE would down vote your videos.
Third: Fan for life!
ROCK ON!
That was a great build of a English wheel.
this video is well done, i like those panning shots while welding
Awesome projects and getting way better at video editing. You guys rock!
Ahhhh the musical instrument that is the English wheel ... great addition to the shop!
courage les mecs j'aime ce que vous faites
Whoever is selling you the welding wire, must be loving you.
Great job
Very very nice
You are a máster of Steel
Saludos desde México
your projects are always great
Thanks! :)
Your videos are dope. You have the perfect music and the perfect timing for the videos. You inspire me.
Vraiment impressionnante cette réalisation !
Super !
Really impressive this achievement!
Great !
You are definitely a Great Maker; which includes Design, Fabricate, Welding, Machining. I am very glad to have found your channel. With that said I think it is pertinent to point out that you should Not weld Rusty metals together especially at the weld joints. A little Muratic acid bath or even applied on with a brush will take away that rust asap. Muratic acid can be found at most hardware stores and is normally used to clean concrete. I only mention this because I can imagine that so many young Builders/makers look up to you and apply what they see on these videos. We must teach them correctly as we dont want a critical weld joint failing because they didnt clean the metal first. regardless. Awesome Channel and fantastic job on this design !!!!!!
Very dope. And that large wheel allows for very fine adjustments... So sick
Thank you!
Incredible video.
Those time lapses are just as pretty as food
Very very clever frame build. Well done.
You do it gain dear brother
Excellent job
Take care..
What year is it. Blahahaha.
Wow fantastic work 👍👍👍
Phenomenal work, very high degree of bad-assery!
Great work bending that girder!
Connor Holland I am bender, Please insert girder.
Very impressive build as usual! Never heard of an English Wheel. So I did a search and came up with this from Wikipedia:
The process of using an English wheel is known as wheeling. Panels produced this way are expensive, due to the highly skilled and labour-intensive production method, but it has the key advantage that it can flexibly produce different panels using the same machine. It is a forming machine that works by surface stretching and is related in action to panel beating processes. It is used wherever low volumes of compound curved panels are required; typically in coach building, car restoration, space frame chassis racing cars that meet regulations that require sheet metal panels resembling mass production vehicles (NASCAR),[3][4] car prototypes and aircraft skin components. English wheel production is at its highest in low-volume sports car production, particularly when more easily formed aluminium alloy is used.

Making it and using it, lots of skills there, GREAT VIDEO.
Είμαι περήφανος! Μπράβο!
Good music and nice job...! Bro...! Ver y nice..!! Excellent..!!
This channel is the gear heads version of primitive technology. I love it keep up the good work
Looks like you got that welder figured! Nice beads.
Next level bro , amazing work
Thank You Gentleman.
Man, that is one nice English Wheel!
Awesome build.
You are truly a master Craftsman
So much work but awesome in the end.
Very clever on the channel section bend. Thats what its all about. Great can do attitude. Well done dude.
A stunningly good effort! Just loved the slit and weld to get the frame shape.
Two improvement suggestions if I may. For the frame bracing pieces how about parts cut and welded in at 45 degrees which will greatly increase the torsional rigidity. Welding a plate to cover the whole of the back of the channel would achieve the same affect. For the hand wheel how about making the rim and spokes from stainless steel as the black paint will rub off.

Great and even greater....makeItExtreme....thanks for sharing..!!! From Argentina.
That's extreme as always! I never get tired of your videos.
What about welding an extremely big metal drone with extremely big motors and batteries? Of course with surplus parts like washing machine motors etc.
A cada vídeo uma nova inspiração, parabéns você é o melhor
Beautiful weld!
As soon as the notification of this popped up, it was stop what i’m doing and watch!
Another cracking project!
Awesome work guys! Video so clean with great edit! Good job🔥
Thank you!
You guys need to make an extreme Hydroformer. Also loved the panning, time lapse welding shots.
That is bad ass now that's what I call an English wheel thanks for the video
Very nice but with an anvil wheel you need to have a very slight camber due to difficulty manuvering the workpiece across two plains . Im sure by now you've probably gotten round to fabricating/modifying. Also a light oil will make work quicker and make conformity easier to find visually, always deburr before wheeling and just remember its not an easy skill to learn 8 years and i still suck!!! I use duck oil due to the lack of silicon and low viscosity helps massively. Great video and look forward to more!
What an awesome build! And a really clever way you built it too!
Those your hands.
Time to make motorcycles now!!!
Greg's Garage or a supercar
or some sweet medieval armor!
Casey Niestat's face looks like medieval shield
next should be hovercraft
Greg's Garage мне кажется этот мужик даже во сне что то конструирует)))
Another great build, featuring OUTSTANDING ... technique & craftsmanship!
Sweet build
