- This is my story about my experience with ministry and being a pastor's wife. I My husband was fired from our church and now we're starting something new! I'm 'youtubing' to keep track of the current adventure we are on.
How beautiful!!!!!!! Gods got this!!!!!!! The steps of a righteous man are definitely ordered by GOD!!!!!!! You will be on my prayer list everyday !!!!! \O/
I was really blessed by this !! it highlights God ordering your steps when you step out I guess that's my next step but I know its going to be a struggle and am nervous !
Oh yes- Nervous..doesn't even explain it at times! Just take it one step or even, one breathe at a time..that was my agreement I gave God..I'll push through one thing at a time..There were some rough times where I found myself running to my bedroom, shutting the door, and hitting the floor crying out- " I don't want this anymore!" and immediately God was there with me. I am here to talk anytime!
Amazing story. It is encouraging for me. My husband and I received the same rejection when God called us into ministry. Our former church had a dynamic youth ministry at one time but because of older staff members and mentalities it has dwindled. I feel your struggle. We started our church two yrs ago and then God called us to relocate to a new state altogether. So we are starting over. You guys have accomplished much. Our prayers are with you.Please pray for us.
I'm listening to your story and I'm just laughing on the inside because this is my story! lol. We weren't paid ministry, but we were "staff". I was the minister of music and my husband was also a minister in our last church. My husband always knew we'd start one, but wasn't sure when. We've been there 10 years and one month, we felt it was time to go. We tried to leave the right way, it back fired. lol. People who were for us, were now against us. I lost friends. I was really hurt. We recently starting having services in a building. If you'd ever want to talk, just reply and we'd try to connect. :-)
How did you and your husband meet? My dad has been a pastor for a long time, and to me it's been a heavy burden. It really messes me up when I see ppl going on mission trips for the reason that i have so many questions about it. Is it a cult a hidden agenda that they think I don't see.
