Lifan KPR 200 update with 277 miles on the clock

- This is an update for the KPR200. The engine has been solid, but the bike has required some new bolts and Loctite love. It's got new oil, radiator fluid, spark plug and an x-chain upgrade. I love it for city riding, but I'm not a fan of the highway rides. Remember, our Hwy speed limit is 75mph and that basically matches the top speed of this bike. Ideally, this bike could ride 55-65 mph all day long.
I've rode my KPR till 3600 km, i've never had a loosening bolts issues,

You are lucky my friend, I've lost a bolt and had 4 more come loose. I replace those loose bolts with stainless ones and add Loctite to them. Thanks for the update on your bike and be safe riding!
Did you buy your bike from an authorized physical dealership who did your setup? A mail-order dealer, even if they assemble it for you, might not do a proper PDI.
@@culcune The bike came from an authorized dealer, but I have found that none of the bolts have Loctite on them. I just add Loctite or replace the nuts with lock-nuts when I find anything loose.
Yeah almost every other kpr on RUclips has been an amazing bike I think you just got a runt.

thank you so much man i was watching ur videos while my bike was on the way . and like you said turn on the key off n on for a while to get the fuel in the system n my bike started right up . im about to change the exhaust and the chain > sparkplug .. i have a black n while i drove a nice 315 miles on it n change oil

I have a Lifan KPR myself and I got mine registered no problem title you have to get insurance first then inspect the bike first then go to the tax office.
That is true, I have done every step aside from being able to go in the county courthouse. They are still closed to the general public in my county. They won't register via mail or online as it is a new purchase with a MCO. They should reopen to the public on June 1st.
@@EDCKnives2020 oh ok I see why I live in Galveston county well I hope you get chance to ride on the road soon but careful because I had a motorcycle accident on my lifan KPR someone in a black suburban it was a Hit and run 🏍️💥🏍️💥🏍️💥it happen on may 13, 2020 on Wednesday at 6:30 on that day and now my Lifan KPR 200 is in my storage unit now I'm waiting to see what my insurance company is going to do for me on this I live in league City, Texas but I'm ok 😠 just some road rash cuts and bruises🤕🤕 i was doing about 50 miles per hour when it happened so just be careful buddy 😎👍.

@@davidespinosa4367 I just saw this post! I hope you are doing well and I hate that you went down. That is always a scary feeling. I know that you just got your bike and I've talked to you on the SEV live chats from a few weeks ago. I've went down on a bike I had 15 yrs ago and I ended up riding off and on for a few years after that. That was one of the reasons I had stopped for about 10 yrs. I have to admit, my wreck had been my fault but I learned a lot from it. I ride differently today, more cautious and that slows the ride down. If insurance totals out your bike, you can always buy mine on the cheap. Stay safe out there when you are good to drive. Hopefully SEV will still get to host the summer ride in Houston and we can all ride together then.

I have seen some report that the bikes top speed is 90mph, I saw one video where a guy got his kpr200 up to 143kmph which is 88MPH

How much coolant should we add? My reservoir is bone dry. Is there any actual benefit to using a more expensive coolant?
I don't know the exact amount required in OZs, but I simply filled the reservoir and checked to see how much remained after my ride. It pulled a little from the reservoir and if it is overfilled, it will drain out of the overflow tube. I found my engine runs cooler with a better grade coolant. My fan does not come on as frequently as before and never comes on while moving.
where did you get the chain from? also, what coolant did you use?
where did you get the levers?
What is the resorvoir under the seat is that radiator overflow?
The X Pect comes requiring valve adjustment...did you need to adjust the valves on this?
Thanks for the info ill check all my bolts on my kp 200. Also where do you get oil filters air filters and the normal wear and tear parts?
Glad I could offer some helpful tips. This particular bike does not have an oil filter. There is a screen behind the oil plug that filters the oil. The spark plugs can be tricky to find as it frequently sells out on Amazon, but you can find them on ebay with reputable outo parts dealers. I use the Mobil 1 racing 4T oil that is for high-performance bikes at walmart and on Amazon. It resist shearing better than most oils and loves The high RPMs. The chain can be found on Amazon and EBay. It's a 428x128 x-ring chain. Check out my video where I change the chain. 10 minutes and you are ✔.
Air filter can not be found in the US at this time, but can be ordered from China. I'm going to reach out to Lifan America and ask that they sell them on their Amazon store.
I did watch your other videos. The key turning helped me because my bike did not wanna start at all. Had to turn the key on and off probably at least 20 times. But after riding a bit i adjusted the idle up to 1500 since it was around 1100 and it runs great. As for the air filter. If they don't sell it on amazon. I may look into making my own cone air intake. Or 3d print a trim piece to hold a normal rectangle air filter.
@@intervention7306 Got my new air filter from Amazon today. I'm looking at how to modify the air box to get a little more fresh air through the filter too.
If you find a good way to let more air in that would be great if you could make a video. I would be interested in that. I did see your video. Im pretty sure my kp200 has that "key" on both sides unlike the kpr200 air filter only has the "key" on one side of the filter.
Hey great vid, I actually just bought the kpr 200 but blue, I have a over 100 miles on it and want to change the coolant, what should I use, I'm a first time bike rider and now owner.. autozone and O'Reilly had no idea..

None it has a strainer instead
