How Do You Register A "Mail Order" Motorcycle AKA My Lifan KPR 200

- I had a request to explain how to register a bike that was ordered off the internet. This is how I did it in Texas. Each state can vary a tad bit. Some people may get a Manufacture Statement of Origin (MSO) while others can get a Manufacturer Certificate of Origin (MCO). I've seen both with Boats and Trailers.
There have been people on Chinariders complaining about the cost to register their mail-order bikes, but since you don't pay sales tax in the state you bought it from, your state will collect it, no problem. Plus, it's a one time deal--next year at renewal, you will only pay the fees.
That is a very good point and very true. You have to pay sales tax no matter what. You could probably get away with not paying any sales tax on an offroad bike, you could never sell it with a title. If you can't get an MCO/MSO it would be expensive due to the fact you have to pay a bond fee to register. That's why I went with a reputable dealer that was an official American Lifan company. My taxes and fees were basically less than my exhaust 😆
@@EDCKnives2020 some states, AZ included, started making people register off-road vehicles (for upkeep of trails and other off-road areas, among other reasons, although street-registered bikes like dual-sports don't need off-road stickers), so getting caught risks impounding. But there are probably states out there where you could get through that loophole.
on the day i got my kpr200, i just took the MCO and bill of sale to the dmv, and got a plate same day. no waiting. no paperwork. just pay the fee and go

I know this is a year too late but if you have some sort of credit, like 560-600 minimum I THINK, you can get approved for a certain amount a month, if it's over 3 grand it'll be a 36 month finance. But there's a chance they can charge down payment they are gonna charge me like 600 down when I order mine soon!
