My absolute FAV tomato sauce recipe "Roasted Tomato and Red Pepper Sauce" Enjoy! www.saltandlavender.com/roasted-tomato-red-pepper-sauce/ A few of my notes: 1. I double or triple the recipe depending on what I have brought in from the garden 2. I freeze the sauce (it's not said to be canning safe). It takes multiple rounds in the oven but it's worth it! 3. I always use Romas and red peppers but the person who gave me the recipe uses whatever she has on hand (ex. slicing tomatoes, any color peppers, etc.) Since I use a paste tomato and remove the core, I can basically remove the seeds before it goes into the oven which eliminates the need to run it through a mill later. 4. I have made it without removing the skins from tomatoes and peppers but the texture is so much better when I remove the skins from both after they come out of the oven and before I put them in the food processor. 5. This makes a really thick sauce, and it's wonderful on a good piece of bread but I also use it as a tomato sauce and just thin it a bit (water or stock) when I thaw/heat it later. You could also get a thinner sauce if you used a combo of slicing tomatoes and Romas or decibels if you only used slicing tomatoes.
My Dear, i must say this. That discovery of that potato was worth an incredible amount of my time . If someone gets food plus such joy from growing stuff, I'm planning how to share every crumb of my growing knowledge. Many grand blessings everyone everywhere.
Hey. Just letting you know I just purchased my Bonnie's Choice Collard plants today from Lowe's. The delivery truck arrived today with a load of vegetable plants.
I agree, I ate some this summer and they reminded me of spinach. I thought..oh, it's nice to have a spinach like green when it's too warm to grow spinach. I hadn't thought of freezing them! One more question, when you freeze them, do you blanch them first?
Heya Jaysea! I was able to overwinter it one year when I had the bed covered in plastic for the winter. Another year I didn't cover it and it didn't come back the next year.

Hi Batavia. Thanks for sharing! I had great luck with Kennebec in a 40 gallon grow bag. I planted two pounds seed potatoes; harvested a bit more than 8 pounds.
Heya WJR! I have had Kennebec on my list to try, thanks for commenting. I also think in past years, I was putting too many seed potatoes in my grown bags and containers. Glad to hear 2 worked well for you. 🥔💚
I planted 6, 2-inch yukon gold in 3, 7-gallon grow bags and harvested 26 same size potatoes and 10 tiny ones to use for seed next year. Kennebec should do better than Yukon Gold I think but maybe not. Many grand blessings everyone everywhere.
Miss Batavia?? You can wrap tulle around brassicas to keep that cabbage butterfly Catapiller off your plants. Anything that keeps white butterfly off plants will stop that Catapiller from eating your plants. Many grand blessings everyone everywhere.
Looks like my collards last summer. This year it is still so hot. The last 4 days hi temps: 97°, 97°, 97°, 98°. And dry, dry, dry. Last two months $398 total for water.
Im thinking crimson watermelon is not round((????)))) I think. Did you save those seeds, get them contaminated by pollinators last year, or it could be it ate all tour fertilizer, especially if planting intensively. Blessings everyone everywhere
I just subscribed to your channel about a week ago and watch evey upload. I planted Morris heading collard seeds after seeing yours look so good they haven't all come up yet only been 5 days but I'm looking forward to it. Nice job beautiful garden.

Heya Deb! Thanks for stopping by. I'm going to spread them out on shelves in my basement to cure. I don't remember if I mentioned it in this video, but I really don't have a place with the ideal temps and humidity (temperatures between 80°F to 85°F and a humidity around 85-95%).

All of my varieties of eggplants are producing tiny fruits. Going straight to the dull color. Only thing I can think of is because of the excessive heat. IDK.
Heya Rosalind, sorry to here. It's been a few weeks since I filmed this video and that one lil finger eggplant doesn't look much better. The whopper is making another production run and the green skin one is super slow to put on veggies.
I have a number of stray cats and squirrels (raccoons too) that frequent my garden and I have found this netting helpful to discourage those creatures from crawling into my garden bed. www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B08B5RDNN2?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title I don't know if it would help with rodents as I think they may be more inclined to eat through it.
