@@EvsPersonal No, they are extremely muscular but that is hard work, not genetics in particular (maybe genetics for building muscle but not strange or unique)
Phil Heath is the first bodybuilder I think of as having a unique physique. He has that unmatched 3D quality to his muscle on a skeletal frame that isn’t typically considered ideal for bodybuilding. Plus, I can’t think of any other bodybuilder as complete. No weak muscle groups.
Absolutely spot on. No wonder his nickname is The Gift. His only Achilles heel was his midsection later on in his Olympia-winning career. But in termos of muscle development, no weak muscles.
I would actually argue that Derek Lunsford is more unique than Andrew Jacked. Andrew is somewhat similar to Samson, (both tall and esthetic while still massive), while Derek is a shorter guy with a clavicle width just as wide and a waist just as narrow or even smaller than Andrew or Samson. To top it off he has probably the best back in the entire IFBB right now.
In my view, Serge Nubret was very unique. He had what was called back in his day a "pantherishness" to his physique that no one else had. Sergio Oliva was an unique bodybuilder if ever there was one.
Interesting vid and really got me thinking… When I think of unique body builders, in the ilk of Mr. Platz, I go to Chris Dickerson (hate him or not). Just like Platz, if you cover Chris’s head from a shot, I can pick him out from any other competitor…
I disagreed with some of this. Paul DiMayo (Quadzilla) is similar to Tom Platz legs-wise. My top ten unique physiques are; 1. Markus Ruhl 2. Paul Dillett 3. Chris Dickerson 4. Kai Greene 5. Later Ronnie Coleman (alienesque) 6. Dorian Yates in his time 7. Tom Platz in his time
It's not politics. I know Brian personally, and he bemoaned the fact that he could never get his legs bigger!! He knew they were a bit small in comparison to his upper body, which may have been the best ever!!
@@mikthe2004 Give him my regards. And when it comes to weak body parts, how about from Franco's feet to around 5'4 off the ground? Franco had a strongman/powerlifter physique, which is where he really shined. He shouldn't have even been sharing the stage with his competitors. Bodybuilding is first and foremost a beauty contest for men, and Brian had that type of esthetic and wasn't acknowledged enough in my view, as many weren't because of inside meddling.
If you're talking unique without considering desirable...then I'd say Nathan De Asha. Mark knows I'm not a fan of his physique..unique though for sure.
I like this video, uniqueness if that is even a word, is something we've lost over time when the physique all get so enormous they become much more similar
Orville Burke, Mike Mattarazzo, Shawn Ray, Theiry pastel, Joel Stubs, caprise Murray, Akim Williams, Al Aguste, Andreas Muntzer. So many unique physiques.
Jean Pierre Fux, Art Atwood, I’d say nowadays James Hollinshead has a very unique physique, I’m thinking more in terms the way some people are out together, also paco batista was very unique
Imma go off the top. Frank Zane, Tom Platz, Bill Paris, Dexter Jackson, Franco Columbu, Paul Dillett, Lee Priest, Big Ramy, Markus Ruhl, Dorian Yates, Shawn Ray. Different reasons for everyone, all super memorable imo.
Serge Nubret is the G.O.A.T of aesthetics, still, to this day, so to claim his physique wasn't unique is ridiculous. It's ludicrous also to state that Sergio Oliva did not have a unique physique, that's madness
Markus Ruhl and Roelly Winklaar could be in the list imo
Should* absolutely
I believe he was going more for genetically unique

He just said unique :) and these guys are unique
Big ramy's physique is unique, ugly, but unique
Yep, Ramy too.
He used to be fairly aesthetic, though he could never get in decent shape

Do you understand the word unique. The point of Phil was that he had perfect parts. Not anything strange or unique
I think there are way more beautiful bodies but the only "mass monster" I tolerate is Phil's. Incredible body.
I agree. The fullest most 3D muscles covering a not ideal skeletal structure

If you ever get the chance to stand next to any of these guys, Derek's stupendous width will definitely stand out more than most of the other guys.
Samson ain't Andrew! 😏 Andrew has a structure of a God.
Derek is similar to Nick Walker then.
Derek, Nick, Hadi = all similar.

Tom Platz definitely
This video brings such Tomn8er vibes, I miss the dude. Greatly put together and entertaining, Mark.
Is he dead?
@@ytsux9259 he stopped making bodybuilding content on RUclips.
Very good video full of little surprises Marx, content like this makes your channel unique!
I think I would like to meet Markus Rohl and Paul Dillet the most.

Awesome Video Marx!! Don't get more unique of a physique than Platz or Kai!
1993 dorian yates, the photoshoot , to this days, still remains unique 😮
And amazing 😊
For my unique physiques I have Kevin Levrone, wheeler, yates, Haney, dillet, Kawak, Oliva
i would've added dexter jackson and big rami
Fr if u look at dexter in 2006 he was the most unique out of that whole lineup
Dereck and Samson are unique! Bizarre video for sure!
Brian Buchanan still looks photoshopped… I can’t believe a human being with that physique actually existed

8. Mike Matarazzo (his calves were freaky)
9. Roelly, until whatshisname came along
10. Lee Priest
And Ed Kawak
Roelly until Nick Walker came along I meant
Andreas munzer, momo benazziza, Mike mAtarzzo should all get honorable mention. #1 from their eras Gary Srydom, Tom Platz and Dilett I agree
Brian Buchanan was so underrated. Too much politics in BB if Franco could win an 'O' and he couldn't even place above 7th.

2013 big ramy arguably, that level of size hadn’t been seen since ronnie coleman but then he was still aesthetic
Big Ramy has never been aesthetic.
Kai greene is literally a MK character
Justin Compton deserved a mention!!
Phil heath, Markus rühl, Andreas münzer, big Ramy, Samson Dauda, Shaun Clarida
I like this video, uniqueness if that is even a word, is something we've lost over time when the physique all get so enormous they become much more similar

Lionel Beyeke..awesome phisique, great genetics.
Orville Burke, Mike Mattarazzo, Shawn Ray, Theiry pastel, Joel Stubs, caprise Murray, Akim Williams, Al Aguste, Andreas Muntzer. So many unique physiques.
Krizzo, among the currents.
Michael krizo Arms
UPDATED: Neckzilla probably is more unique than all of these physiques
Ray McNeil
Orville Burke
Art artwood
Andreas Munzer
Mike mattarazo should all be on this list
I honestly think Frank Columbo is one of if not the best all around body builder ever
Brian Buchanan has the most alien bone structure physically possible. Idk how it’s possible to have proportions such as his
Gary strydom very unique. best chest/shoulders ever. Worst back...
Dorian, Krizo, Serge, levrone, Hiltenberg, Priest, Goodman
I think Krizo and Neckzilla would fit nicely in this list. Goodvito as well
Jean Pierre Fux, Art Atwood, I’d say nowadays James Hollinshead has a very unique physique, I’m thinking more in terms the way some people are out together, also paco batista was very unique
Rafael is also very unique, he has a retro type physique but he poses like a modern bodybuilder
Heyo! Some unique physiques indeed paco for sure
Dennis Wolf. Markus Ruhl. Chris Dickerson hahaha
Paco Bautista or a crazy mass monster deserved some sort of mention
It's ColumbU for the 843rd time! The god damn detective didn't lift! 🤦🏾♂️lol
He says 50% of names incorrectly. No one is perfect, and it kinda makes him unique and funny.
@jeremyweems4916 nah, the nicknames are kinda funny, but the mispronunciation is just annoying to me now. Lol
Andreas Cahling, Albert Beckles?
Mike Katz in the 70s all chest. More unique...
Why pay for a therapist when Marx max releases a new video
Dillett was comparable to Bucanans waist/arm ratio
I always thought that it was pronounced Franco Columbu not Columbo.
Yeah, but everyone just says Columbo because it's easier
@@CiroMastinoi hate when people call michael to michal krizo 😑😑😑
Colombia.
Columbu had freaky genetics or he wouldn't have achieved that size and density, but he just happened to have the short gene.
👍👍👍
Where's big Lenny
Art Atwood

big lenny is most unique xD
Ralf Moeller, tallest Mr Olympia competitor ever who would make Ferrigno look small. Vince Gironda for displaying 1970s/80s conditioning in the 1950s.
Franco columbu would be considered average height vs today's contestant nick, hadi, Derek 🥱 . No more dwarfs in open please ...
Shawn Rhoden, particularly his olympia winning physique, is totally unlike any other mr olympia before or since.
I'm surprised Ronnie Coleman, Jay Cutler, Phil Heath, Big Ramy and Big Lenny didn't make the cut.
Andrew jacked ,,gimme a break!!!
Mike Katz could be an honorable mention. He had such a unique barrel chest and ribcage. I've never seen anyone else with a skeleton like that.
Platz 🐐
Boyer Coe?
Dave Palumbo, big Ramy, Markus Ruhl, Andreas Munzer.
I’m surprised that I haven’t seen anyone mention Nick Walker
❤
Who was waiting for a random Ernie Taylor?
You could have mention Luke sandow too, a big man with a nice semi vacuum
He was corduroy 😂
How could King Ron not make the list? 😂
What about Francis Benfatto, his natural aetherics combined with almost ballet like posing make him pretty unique!😮
YES!!! I agree completely! 👍👍👍
Dexter Jackson?
For sure!
Andrew Jacked’s physique is unique only because he has no calves!! 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
