Yo.. to remove the rear cylinders just remove the hose anything else bolted at the bottom? I have what looks like a set screw. I'm new to hydraulics but like to fix my own stuff as much as possible. Any help is appreciated.
Hey this your boy Eric from Cali I was just wondering if it would be a good idea to put bearing grease on the magic ball before reinstalling it's? Once again you layin on some good work again. Peace my bro.
eric davis most powerballs come with a grease fitting but if it doesn’t, I always add some packing grease to the ball before putting it back in. Good catch
Just got a new cylinder and power ball and the mount...weilded the axle mount then the power ball on top of that, put the cylinder back with the spring and all that cant screw powerball to bottom of cylinder?...i got pics
Russell Harris Lowrider Hydraulics Souds good man, thank you for the quick response. I have a 64 as well. I was told it was better swapping the rear end before installing switches
Mario Montanez you were told right, the factory rear end was not designed to handle Hydraulics and needs to be swapped out, the axels are prone to sliding out.
@@LOWRIDERHYDRAULICS axle sliding out? you mean the outer tubes? need welding or? doesnt the axles use a C-clip internally? I know I have a junked 68 Thunderbird I could raid for a axle when I am ready. but want an underststanding. I like the powerball, is there a way to keep axle from going forward so much? home made Z bracket for the suspension, with bushings, from the trailing arms to hang axle on? with limiters, so can gain height without pulling differential towards front so much? if you understand what I am thinking while trying to learn also on threads, a tap & die set is nice, but most of the time I am too lazy to go dig it out, & just take a similar bolt, & cut 2-3 notches in thread to make it a tap, and use it as a tap & it works well.
Arron from Tennessee hydraulics..do I really need to reinforce the whole frame for a 98 Lincoln town car...I DONT PLAN ON HOPPING JUST LAY N PLAY ..you know side to side front n back...8 in front with 12 in rear coil over..with three pumps
Eric Villasenor general rule is for every 2 batteries 1 solenoid, however if you are running 3 batteries to 1 pump then you should be running 2. If you are running 6 batteries to 1 pump then you should be running 3. All depends on what current you are running to those pumps.
Hey Eric this is Eric also from Cali. I'm going through the same thing as you. I have a 93 Cadillac Fleetwood I just purchased a few months ago. I'm not planning to hop it ,but just like you said front, back, side, side and that's it. Reinforcing was my biggest question also.
That's one sicc ride folks.
Great video! Would like to see a video of how you set up the perch for the power ball where it sits on the trailing arm.
Hello , what size are your tires? Also, what brand are they? If you don’t mind me asking
Nice thank u u make it fun to work on thank u
Where did you find the bushings? I’m having a hard time finding them in SoCal
175-75-14 Remington tires? 520s came on the car are looking worn. Thinking to go with radial

That baby clean 👌🏽👌🏽
could you do a vid on full install in a car
Where did you get your power ball cup ring?
Can you tell me if that bolt was in fact a 1/2-20 bolt? Also how long?
WHERES THE VIDEO ABOUT MAKIN THE DRIVE SHAFT AND SLIP YOLK
Wat part number on those bushing did you use?
Great info
Are you running 14” cylinders? I’ve been wondering what is the longest cylinder you can use with a Y-Bone. Thanks.
14s is about all you can run with a Y bar. Really start to push the limits with 16s and it would be time to switch to a wishbone.

What can I do for you homie?
Just got a new cylinder and power ball and the mount...weilded the axle mount then the power ball on top of that, put the cylinder back with the spring and all that cant screw powerball to bottom of cylinder?...i got pics
It should screw in very just fine if everything is new. Have you looked to see if there is anything in the threads keeping it from screwing?
It need to see a video of u outting the cylinder and majic ball back my cylinder is new and all the way in so no room to catch the majic ball?...??
Hey brother, thank you for the informative videos. Quick question, is that the original 64 rear end? If not, what rear end do you have on this 64?
Mario Montanez it’s the original rear end for now but plans in the works to upgrade to either the ford 9 or Toyota rear.

Russell Harris Lowrider Hydraulics Hey man, keep up the good work. Your videos a very informative. Thank you for the information on the rear end

Eric Villasenor lay and play probably not, although a good idea. Spring purches do need to be enforced, they tend to tear over time.
Russell Harris Lowrider Hydraulics thank you for that information...btw nice ass Impala👍🏼
