My favorite lore piece about this entire event is that it’s actually still canon, as in the epilogue of Manflayer, a Astartes on his way to speak to Fabius speaks to Saqquara, Fabius’ companion of sorts, and mentions he heard the Blood Angels put a price on Fabius’ head, to which Saqquara responds that that is from a discontinued experiment
(This is minutes before Fabius’ Prime Body wakes up and the book ends on the cliffhanger that led directly to the new *Genefather* novel
My introduction to the Warhammer 40k Universe was a used copy of James Swallow's _The Blood Angels Omnibus_ at a local thrift store about 10 years ago.
The Sons of Sanguinius are still my favorite Space Marine Chapter!

@@baldermort While I know precisely what you mean as someone who has done narration, I find writing for narration is it's own realm of pace and phrasing, however you genuinely have acquired a mastery for both. Perhaps as a novel this form of writing might sound a bit choppy, but as a script for narration, it is truly exceptional. I spent a lot of time writing for my own public speeches and for events, I would be glowing with joy if I had half the talent for the realm of words you did, and I do mean that!
(by the way, can you make a patron tier above Primarch, I really would love to contribute more)
Deep praise indeed. Thank you very much indeed. I have to admit I am working towards trying to write a novel. But the challenge is real. I just don;t know if I am up to it. I hide my faults behind the music really. It does soooo much of the heavy lifting for mood and tone. Without it? I am absolutely terrified, if I am honest. Old dog. New tricks. Intimidating. :)
I would make a higher tier, but I really think I need to start providing something there first. My patrons are long standing and I do not give them much. I need to improve that. I am hoping 2024 I will have a bit more energy. Covid kind of wiped me out and I am struggling with energy levels since. I really want to, but won;t put up time wasting cobblers. So, give me a little bit to try and then I may consider it. I despise giving nothing for all of the support. It is a constant stress. One I hope to destroy with activity. Sorry for the waffle. Still waking up.

Man, I loved the Deus Ex Sanguinius books. A bit that still sticks with me, Rafen uses a Jump Pack and uppercuts Archeo so hard he breaks his right wrist, forearm and elbow. Can you imagine being so angry you hit them hard enough to shatter your arm lol

Deus Encarmine and Deus Sanguinius are my favorite books as a BA player. Re-reading it every now and then (Red Tide and Black Rage too) and still get goosebumps. I wonder what happened to Rafen during the Devastation of Baal. He's a awesome character to follow. But besides the main protaginist I think my favorite character is Brother Sergeant Koris.
Once again, your near mythical storytelling drew me into the story like a Master Bard…

Great vid. It's....strange being reintroduced to this series after having since read the horus heresy itself in general and Sanguinius himself in particular. It just doesn't hit anywhere near as hard as it did originally.

The pantheon of demigods, heros, legends, and primordial beings is the stuff legacies are forged and worlds are made. For how can gods walk amongst them and not be worshipped as such even in the face of denying it, humans are drawn to power like moths to a flame and like the flame those moths are powerless to it. And the angel if their was one among us today would be the first step to an undeniable truth that god could very well be real at that point, even if denied by said angel. What lore you can tell man. That it brings goosebumps when heard. Thank you for all your content and I hope you become an aspect of GW's lore or even audio in the black library. Much love man

Rafael Novels were some of the best books that I read about the Blood Angels and they encourage me to enter this Grim Universe.
Wait is this the same Rafael from angels of death, the chaplain? Or is this another BA character?
