I've seen my fair share of talented riders over the year, since I was 5, and I'm 49 now! Ken's better than my Dad, and My Dad would have no problem admitting that. Dad was damn good though...quite a bit smaller than Ken. About 175 lbs, and he threw them around like Ken. I don't think Dad understood the phrase, "Don't go faster, then what your angels can fly, like Ken says." Awesome and Valid Phrase. Lol....Honestly, when Dad was young, I think he could have gotten as good as Ken, with enough practice, and the right trainers. He was 150 lbs, when he was young, and fearless like Ken and Jr.
Man, Ken.. You did the same thing with that '91 KX 125 a month ago.. Shows your skill levels for sure.. The 500's are just straight up brutes, but you THROW these smaller bores around like nothin'.. 🏁🇺🇸🏁

scooped up a 2002 Kx125 fully restored, with Tom Morgan 144cc race motor, V3 reeds, Fatty Pipe, and shorty !!! Tow hitch on S.U.V. just got installed, so now just waiting on my rack and i can actually start riding again for first time in 20 plus years!! and your channel was instrumental in having me make this decision !!!

Had a 91 cr250 and absolutely loved it, minus the suspension but i was young and thought i didn't need it re valved. Boy if i knew then what i do now! Love it beautiful bike great video as always. I love seeing the older bikes from you guys. They are always pristine and make my mouth water
I remember watching Lorusso in the late 80’s at Southwick, he was fast! my childhood friend from Newton rode a YZ80 as an Expert, and then a short stint in the 125 expert class. However, the YZ80 my buddy rode was possessed, in fact he would take the hole shot against the 125’s at times. Such great memories as a kid watching so many fantastic riders of the day. Can’t wait for the reopening!!

I had a Honda peak anti freeze 125 1991 bought from a supercross it was Jeremy McGrath’s old bike from a supercross event in Sweden... in the 90’s man I miss that bike 😌

There's a shop that restored older bikes near me, And they are restoring a whole bunch of Cr and Some Kx and Rm's and they are trying to put all original parts on it. This bike looks insane! I need to get myself a cr lol
That was allways my favorite color scheme and layout for the CRs. I remember seeing these brand-new at a dealership.. If I get another post '89 CR500, its being done up like this..
Dam !! I miss my 1990 CR125.. With the HPP and a ProLine pipe it Screamed !! It's bite was just as bad as it's bark too !! I never lost a drag race once to anything, DBikes, Banchees, Quadzilla, RiceRockets.. Nothing could take it from 0-60 which also off the gate got me the holeshot and out of the 1st turn easy top 3.. Which was Awesome untill what ended up being my last Motocross race.. I was racing against guys far above my skill level at a big fall invitational..(Idk if anyone remembers N.E. rider Doug Henry,he was one of them in it) My holeshot had placed me in 3rd, 3/4s through the 1st lap with ALOT of faster guys all over me the 1990 CR F'd up fork pogoed me right b4 the finish line big double and I barely cleared it.. The guy behind me hit it way faster completely over shooting it. So when my bikes decompressing after landing and going Up, his bike came down basically casing my shoulder/tricep.. So I got hit by like 400lbs falling from like 20 feet downward and forward.. I obviously got driven into the ground hard but as you know adrenaline and the sound of the entire pack coming towards you you jump up and try to get the bike up.. That's when I knew I was done, my arm was useless.. The pain didn't start until on the way to the hospital though.. End result Dislocated Shoulder and Rotator Cup torn, ripped, destroyed.. I STILL MISS IT THOUGH AND WOULD DO ANYTHING TO STILL HAVE IT AND GO RIPPING RIGHT NOW !!

Reminds me of ME on my YZ 125 right after I started racing . The called me Hammer on a YammerHammer or something or Freight Train... like that It varied sometimes lol...yet Hammer always stuck . Back then Bob Hannah was my MX hero .
I have one and it is my first real proper dirt bike other than Chinese pit bikes and I haven't fully got to rip the bike yet due to a transmission problem however when it hits in third gear and up this bike is a beast. I"m happy its my first bike. PS: This guy rides like an animal!!!

ProCircuit ran the same porting on these from 1991 to the end of Cr125 production. =They got it right the first time and never changed. Even though they are great bikes the 1991 Kx125 is the way better all around package stock. Seeing this Cr125 blast a 250lb man around easily is quite stunning. You could make the Johnny O'mara claim who needs a 250cc, or 500cc when you have a Honda Cr125.

RC models. outboards. gardening equipment. compared to planes and ships its nothing they just want to be seen to make changes . and as usual its joe public who gets it . we have a saying here if your enjoying yourself your probably breaking the law
I love my 98 CR125. Rebuilt it from the ground up last year with the best parts you can put on that bike. Even did a few mods, obviously the airbox mod because that year had such a tiny airbox, then got a bigger, better carb. Went from a 36mm PJ to a 38mm PWK and tuned it (had to get a new needle, throttle body and jets. A lot of research and tinkering to get it just right). Stiffen the spring from the exhaust governor by adding a 2mm thick shim. If you don't add more spring tension to the exhaust governor or use exhaust spacers when you put a bigger carb on this bike, that it will cause it to hesitate every time it's about to hit the power band. Doing all that really brought out the bottom end it didn't have before. Complete night and day. Then obviously got it sprung for my weight since I am a little heavier of a rider for the stock suspension.
Did not realize you had an impromptu motocross around the old mill grounds. Super kool and handy. I have always been in love with the YZ 125s. They had the monoshock first. But, i always loved the big bad red Hondas. I would b just as happy with this red cruise missle..
It’s so sad to think I haven’t lived the two stroke experience, I’ve had a Crf 110 a Crf 125 and now a 250l , I was at my buddy’s place and hoped on a kx 85 and it was amazing, now I’m going 2 stroke all the way Japan needs to bring back the good ol kx the cr and rm
