I later left home for the Army and will never forget calling my grandmother and her telling me Ms. Jackie had been murdered by her BF. It hurt my heart as if I lost my own mother again. I worked with one of her sisters, who is named Charlene, when I tell u a talented family. Her funeral was held at a former hotel and people were 16 to 17 blocks away. This man had promised to kill her for weeks nobody thought he actually would. After her death the family has not been the same.

Kind of reminds me of Selena a bit. Both had a knack for doing hair (I think Selena had her own salon, but I'm I'm probably getting that confused with her boutique), and they were shot to death by jealous people.

Though Selena didn't have an actual salon (I think it was a boutique), she did have a gift for styling & doing hair, and she was definitely shot by a jealous hater 😔...
