There were several "Motor Books" of my youth....How to "Hot Rod Small Block Chevy's", Bill Jenkins "Chevrolet Racing Engine", then the one that taught you to build LONG TERM POWER & RELIABILITY "Racing Engine Preperation" by Wadell Wilson....That book was an eye opener!

Wadell Wilson simply put, was the "Smokey Yunick" of his era in NASCAR: THE VERY BEST ENGINE BUILDER, BARR NONE. And just like Smokey before him, they both had great success building race engines in NASCAR for Ford, Chevy, Pontiac........and Wadell additionally with Oldsmobile of course.

Smokey Yunick once said everybody talks about what a good engine builder Waddell is and he is but it’s amazing what that man knows about aerodynamics.

I got tired of watching Wadell win, always rooted against him. AFTER watching this, HEY, the man worked SUNUP to SUNDOWN for YEARS and YEARS. That is TOTAL sacrifice. I myself worked 12-16 hour shifts through the nineties into the early 2000’s myself making sure every Chrysler clutch housing was perfect when it got to the Chrysler plants. My dad did the same for over 30 years. Nothing but respect to him AND his family
