- From the old SPEED channel, Jeff Hammond hosts this profile of NASCAR crew chief David Ifft. Through his career, David worked with Bud Moore, DiGard Racing and M.C. Anderson before going into business for himself. His light-hearted approach made him a favorite among drivers, team owners and the media. Buddy Parrot, Darrell Waltrip, Buddy Baker, Benny Parsons, Dick Berggren and Deb Williams help portray the character of this legendary mechanic & crew chief.

Graduated in 1966 from Hubbard, OH with "Beaver" Ifft, was our Best Man when I got married...spent many years at the Ifft homestead watching Beaver work on cars! One of the funniest guys I know! Luv ya, Beaver!

Great news ... from David Ifft . Workshop days 8AM - 6PM well thats fresh , I have worked with so many asholes who think that working all night is going to find results.... work hard, go home...and play hard - that keeps you healthy and fit.
Met David Ifft today in Daytona..Great guy with great stories..Had a blast hanging with David and his bro in law Dave for a bit...Great to meet both of you if you see this.

was david mad about the underwear story
Cool dude but he stretched the Yarborough wins in 82 & 83. More like 2 and 3 instead of 5 and 6 he recalled. Yarbs could have had those numbers if the car stayed together. I was all tuned in to every lap of every race back then.
