I was lucky enough to get to shoot the live Arcane premier for Netflix. this is my commentary on 2 of the long shots I did and how I did them. Hopefully useful for other steadicam operators, directors of photography, and camera operators as well as anyone into movie making, filmmaking, cinematography, gimbals and camera stabilizers. Shot with a insta360 one x, M-1 volt steadicam with a g70-x arm.
Take a look at all of my gear

@@SteadiRed Welcome to the professor how are you doing it for this command of the limited and fitness area as well

This was really cool! I wish all steadicam operators had BTS shots like this.
This is waaay more interesting to me than what they premiered on the screen there. Well done. You looked a bit beat at the end.
Hahaha, I was definitely beat at the end 😁

Ur shot is amazing
Btw what camera did use on that live
Thanks so much. Sorry, I don't remember. I would guess one of the Sony broadcast cameras
Nice video! One question, what did you study to get here? I am planning on doing the same but I need some inspiration. How did you get in steadicam events??
I did go to college for video but it's hard for me to recommend it. Most of the nolage and connections to get to this point is really from starting as a PA and working your way up. I would keep the money and use it to float the very low rates you will be living of of in the beginning. It sounds bad but it's not forever, I wish you luck!
Damn ! That's was dope ! What steadicam do you can reccomend for starting with on budget ? I got 3 kg setup ;)
Thanks 😁😁😁 I'd look into the aero stuff
Hey, I'm curious, was there a focus puller with you ?
Jeez I was sweating the entire time
Hahaha, trust me. I was too
hey man, I was wondering, how you keep the shot in focus while constantly moving?
on the gimbal handle I have a small wheel I can turn with my finger that controls focus. with practice it becomes more automatic.
@@SteadiRed would something like a tilta wireless nucleus nano work?
do you have any recommendations?
my apologies by the way. I'm just starting out trying to learn about the steadicam. haven't bought a rig yet though!
Whats a gig like this pay?
How did the rig get massively unbalanced if the guy didnt change anything on the rig when you gave it to him? No disrespect i just want to know where or how it happened because i have no idea. Great work . Looks like a lot of preassure.
After looking into it I found that the the batteries where moved. They where pushed in and tilted in. Thanks! It is a lot of pressure but that can be fun too. 😁
@@SteadiRed oh i see. Thank for the answer! Keep it up
Did you end up watch the premiere?
I did 😁
