She gets a lot of hard for being biracial and taking on roles that should go to dark skin women. Tmk this only happened in A Sun Is Also A Star but there was this other show that was announced a few months ago that had a full cast of lightskinned black women and I think Yara was in the picture.
@@assholebyginger NOT TRUE. According the author of the Sun is also a Star, Natasha, is described as glowing brown, not dark skinned in the book. And the Author Nicola Yoon choose her for the role.
