My little brother introduced me to Ac back in the days.. i remember him being attracted to the aesthetic whereas i was not into it at all finding it too generic at the time.. i never finished it and barely touched it but i felt in love with the second one mostly because of its scenery : i used to buy ps3 magazine and Ezio was in the cover holding an Axe.. i still have it at Home, its pictures of the scintillating water of Venise at night time still are in my heart
@RagingThunder You did not understood my comment then... i said at the time my brother played it, i was not interested by Ac that much but when the second one came out i jumped into it because of its SCENERY not graphics... graphics in 2009 were not that much of a deal at the time from what i could remember. Plus you dont know me man, so dont judge me you are sounding like a purist but i guess it is the trend nowadays ? To feel better among the game industry. At this time i used to play infamous 1 and it was as good as ac 1 graphically and replayed it not long ago along with gow 1 and replayed Ac 3 last year on ps3 and gta vice city because i loved it around 2003 so.. No i've never played a games because of its graphics as you just said. Plus fu** off comparing me to my brother saying if one is better than the other for a simple video game... this is fuck** up, brothers are not to be compared and less for tastes... anyway OK then
God damn I love this game. These Adrenalin kicks I got when I was fleeing over the buildings after I killed a boss trying everything not to alarm the guards was just so exciting. And the combat was surprisingly well. With two different blades and throwing knives you got everything you needed. And the combat wasn’t even easy. It looked good when you were good but you needed skill to make it look and feel perfect
I played this when it first came out! i was proper gamer back then and it blew me away!... Playing the new AC'S i'm totally unimpressed! If anything the newer games have taken a step back!
Not to hate on the new assassins creeds, their stories are good but.... Every game story is good we need the “assassins” part of “assassins creed “ back. What if they remake assassins creed 1 but with another Altair story and different gameplay mechanic not that the first one was bad of course

Honestly miss when parkour was more like this as well. Of course, the animations are much smoother now. But I really liked how you couldn’t climb every single surface. There had to be a handhold to ascend. It was more realistic and required some skill (obviously not much, but). You kinda had to plan your routes a little bit to avoid getting stuck. Now, parkouring through cities just kinda plays itself. Hold forward and (x or whatever) and you’re almost always gonna automatically go where you want.
For real. Not to mention in the newer games you can jump and vault all over the place 20plus feet at a time. Hell in syndicate you practically glide everywhere
@@My_eyesburn Yea,that's why I keep getting conflicted about everyone's newfound love for Unity. Like yea, some super smooth animations, but dude looks like he's just kinda bouncing around the environment as opposed to actually interacting with it and parkouring with the objects. He just kinda does his own thing regardless of your inputs.
The combat system of this game was really unique. A little clunky at times (obtaining moves when killing objectives was a pain), yes, but complex and really satisfying when you master it. Breaking guards, dodging when your guard was break, the round that the enemies made when you faced a templair and let you fight 1v1. Really, REALLY cool combat, and sadly it was not polished, only simplified. (I dunno about IV to Odissey because I play only till AC3)

And the mysterious modern story (that was just a sideline thing). Oh and the cities! So amazing for its time.
I was replaying this game recently and I was surprised how brutal the attack animations still are. I play with blood turned off as a personal preference, but the way he sometimes stands right next to a guy and digs his sword in deeper is just... It makes me wince every time, blood or not. It's such effective animation. You can see the specific one I'm talking about at 6:13

I hope they can remake this game with ac2 stealth, ac unity parkour, ac origins world and texture and ac odyssey leveled quality side content for the investigations!
The sounds, and mystery of the story, the feeling of conspiracies in the society, they must remain like they are because they are the best in all of the franchise. And somehow the new ones have a happy feeling to it. The feeling when you assassinate someone and then you have to run for your life is too good in this game. It is how it should be.

I remember when I played this for the first time in like 2008 and it blew my mind.
1:29 xD. really legendary Assassin
Lol
He's like move bitch get out the way
My little brother introduced me to Ac back in the days.. i remember him being attracted to the aesthetic whereas i was not into it at all finding it too generic at the time.. i never finished it and barely touched it but i felt in love with the second one mostly because of its scenery : i used to buy ps3 magazine and Ezio was in the cover holding an Axe.. i still have it at Home, its pictures of the scintillating water of Venise at night time still are in my heart
Nice game and graphics,2007 👍
I played this when it first came out! i was proper gamer back then and it blew me away!... Playing the new AC'S i'm totally unimpressed! If anything the newer games have taken a step back!
Not to hate on the new assassins creeds, their stories are good but....
Every game story is good we need the “assassins” part of “assassins creed “ back. What if they remake assassins creed 1 but with another Altair story and different gameplay mechanic not that the first one was bad of course
Honestly. We need the combined universe theory. Where all the ubi games are connected to one another. I think combining most if not all of the assasins creeds with a different story could potentialy create a new series of assasins creed.
Odyssey is NOT Assassin’s Creed
David Brignolo that’s your opinion buddy ;)
@@zerogamer935 no its not, its true buddy ;) no assasins, fucking Gods and fantasy bullshit (in a franchise that made clear that in their universe there's no God) and no stealth and trash rpg system.
One of the best series... AC1
Gocham Sakter so you didn’t play this game. It would be boring doing same things all the time. Just read the comment on steam
@@sherlockholmes1574 I dont care about the comment section, I played this a very long time ago, and if it wasnot for this game, I wouldnt have thought of playing the successive series....
AC1 to AC3 anything else is pointless filler, yes, including black flag
Look at Altair man so inspirational
I really wonder how these games have changed damn back then the attacks felt damn powerful
@YvngAlmightyDre yeah, but what about ac 3 and rogue?yeah black flag
Hey you are not the real Arthur you God damn fool
BoAh
@@cemaldrk Ur alright boah

I still can't believe how realistic the graphics look on a 2007 game!!
Why do people feel the need to complain about future AC games on these videos. Just enjoy something without bashing something else.
Freedom of speech bitch
It's our right to complain. And i like complaining.
Becasue the new ones are garbage and shall be bashed till ubisoft pulls their head out of their ass
@@jorgeloredo100 origins is really good doe
@@valtontony826 it's about addressing the current situation ? Lmao why do you feel the need to comment about it on this video jUsT eNjOy tHe ViDeO contradicting much?
This is still my favorite ac. I really hope some day it gets a proper fully loaded remaster. The works
Based on the equipment availabale to Altair he seems to be the most skillful assassin
IV is still the same as assassin's creed 3
@@thecalamithy7497 IV combat sucks
They should restart the assassins creed franchise
PS4 BOY NO
@@hlinneyefc75 YES! they turned the story into fantasy garbage, at least odyssey and the new one should be not canon
@@jorgeloredo100 it was always fantasy and sci-fi, what are you talking about?
Ubisofts far cry series and Ac was Ahead of it's time
As long as the story is always good, like in the first four games, Black Flag and Origins, it's Assassins Creed.
Remember when all the gamer boys had a massive crush on Jade Raymond making this game?
Legend assassin Altair
Best Video
Mate, the counter attack kills... I miss them, it made combat so smooth when fighting multiple people
THIS was a true Assassin's Creed, with Ezio's Trilogy, not the last ones. I stopped playing Assassin's Creed with Black Flag.
Black Flag was mostly pirates, but still it had a great story, and involved assassins
@@Yawnford True.
i stopped w unity. best combat and stealth imo. i played syndicate a little and was bored to death.. and that's that
I played many new AC up to half then stopped because they bored me
An AC game without ultimate editions, season passes, microtransactions and grinding. Just a game where you can chill out and not to worry about f^_^n' resources.
Miss the days where there's no DLC upgrades.
the day when you can got bored at the game quite fast because there is nothing else for you to do beside deal with your main target, you can run around and gather feather and flag but they do nothing after you gather them all beside some cheap achivement.
@@shikniwho7215 I can write exactly the same comment to AC2, Brotherhood and Revelations, where you had some activities, such as flying and your own brotherhood with assassins
@@november_7th well AC2 fixed and improve alot of thing AC1 lack that is why ppl enjoy it so much then, they also used to add different gimmick too, though not all are welcome like the tower def minigame in AC Revelation (i do enjoy that though)
Nice vid g keep up the good work
Man...it's breathtaking
I miss those days😥
We need a remake for this masterpiece💔
It is 2023, and this game is still a masterpiece.

I still remember when I realised that before they fall to the ground I could execute enemies after certain punch/kick animations. Good times.
Old Damascus😭❤
back when assassins creed was actually about assassins creed
I so hope the combat in Valhalla is similar to this.
My jaw dropped when I played this game. Until I actually got in a fight 😂, never really played them since 🙁
It won't be it's already be stated gameplay will be similar to Origins and Odyssey
@@daveyjones18 if you haven't played the Ezio trilogy start there I love all Assassin's Creed games just some are better than others AC 3 is my favorite
Nathan Wood
Bleh, origins are can deal with but odyssey was a hot mess.
Nathan Wood how you know
Assassins Creed 2 is the best game in the franchise, but this is still my favourite mainly because of the setting (so rare to be used in videogames), the respect for the historical aspects and its straightforward simplicity.
You can see the specific one I'm talking about at 6:13
And people call Conor brutal. AC 1 is the real brutality, AC3 is just over the top.
Combat is actually way more satisfying than mirage
Best assassin's made (based on story) were the first ezio's trilogy and AC 3 with the dlc ofc
i dont know if it was the time period or settings but this game had a certain vibe to it which made assassins creed the franchise it is now. it felt serious, which added to the element.
Wow it’s crazy bc I was just talking to a friend this morning about the assassins creed franchise and I was saying the exact same thing. The first installment is my personal favorite bc had a much grittier, darker vibe.
Kids play Odyssey
Legends play Assassin's Creed Altair and ezio
I am a legend WOOO
@don't hate me just block I am also Prince of Persia die hard fan bro 😎 pop developer is the assassin's creed developer.
My fav finisher was foot-stab
the graphics om this were way ahead of its time for sure
love this game! it was revolutionary for its time and altair is just so og! ik a lot of people find it repetitive and grindy but that was not the case for me.
I remember playing this for the first time and it was absolutely mind-blowing
Well the Xbox 360 and PS3 were true next gen consoles when came out.
Even thought Sony and Microsoft lost money with both consoles
A game like Assassins Creed 1, Oblivion wouldn`t worked on PS2/OG Xbox downgraded
It felt like a tech demo, clean and simple UI and you could even play it without a map.

24 hours for me
