MILK THE HELL OUT OF THE TOURIST PERSPECTIVE. While the exoticism of the city might not be there for you given that you're near the city all the time, the world always has eyes on NYC. Milk any and all tourist related perspective/angle/attraction/hype/marketable aspect of what NYC already has to offer. That's an infinite number of videos for you.....You're creative enough
I was in NYC in September for the first time celebrating my Birthday, I wished I had known about this. I had been following you and took notes on a few things. I didn't do everything this time, because we're definitely going back. Thank you so much for keeping us in the know😊
@@HereBeBarr Hiya Jon! Love your videos! I'd also recommend The Knickerbocker Hotel rooftop bar. I think you'd be mesmerized by the view up there! An excellent view of the NYE Ball & Paramount Building Clock Tower. Go there at night for the best view, with all the lights on. It's right smacked in the middle of Times Square too. :)
The fact that the jazz club allows kids is amazing! My 10 years loves jazz & she has never seen a live show in her life. This will be a great birthday surprise for her ! Thank you for this video 🤍
Thank you so much for mentioning that Birdland Jazz Club is kid/family friendly. Have two teens and we all love music, this will be definitely one of the spots we visit on our trip this summer!
I'm at Beasts and Butterflies right now. This place is fly and quiet. This is definitely a hidden gem. Thanks so much. It's cold but it's worth being outside
I went to Sushi Brazil today based on your recommendation in this video as an Austrian tourist. It didn't disappoint! It was absolutely delicious and I have never eaten anything quite like it. Thanks a lot for this hidden gem :)
You are a Hidden Gem! I feel like you are the number one top New York City travel expert. If I ever have a chance to get there I will definitely be binge-watching and re watching all of your videos. Honestly I had kind of given up on the idea of feeling like I needed to ever go there but your videos make me want to visit.
Birdland Jazz looks amazing! It feels similar to Iridium which is also in the area (under Stardust Diner) which I did visit. The rooftop bars are to die for!
Jon, you and I have been New Yorkers for a very long time, and no matter how great we know the city is, it never fails to surprise us to just how great it is.
It's a pleasure every time to watch your videos with all the great information. In this video, SNFL and Birdland Jazz Club were definitely my favorites...Cheers from Germany
You were just across the street from John’s of Times Square! The pizzeria I told you that used to be a gospel Church. You should definitely check it out. It’s 2 floors, 450 seats and 4 brick ovens. And great artwork! Another great video by you!
This video hits the spot. I never heard of Birdland, but now I want to have dinner and listen to some great jazz there. And that first rooftop lounge is about as good as you'll find anywhere on the planet.
I stumbled upon this video recently. I am going to NYC in a few weeks, and plan to go to these places. Your videos are always so informative!! I have gone to attractions and restaurants you have recommended and have been happy I have gone to them.
Thank you so very much for this! My family and I cannot express just how much we appreciate your time and expertise with putting together this AWESOME video! God bless and please keep your wonderful videos coming ❤️
Even though it's not a secret per se, 54 Below (former location of Studio 54) is a GREAT cabaret venue with top-billed talent in a small dinner club. Every show I've seen here you can make eye contact with the artists. They really play to the room and it's a different experience to a larger hall where they can't see the audience through the flood of lighting.
Due over from the UK next April for the first time. Would love to go to 54 Below. Have been watching Michael Feinstein performing there as well as other Cabaret artists
I hope you love it. I wented for the first time last September celebrating my belated birthday. It was Awww moments for me. I can't wait to return back for another visit. I plan on going back next year we with a few friends.

Birdland is definitely on my radar! I'm a huge jazz fan and as I live in the UK I love to go to Ronnie Scott's so being able to go to Birdland would be a bucket list trip. Thanks for another Great video! 😀
You're hitting all the spots for my next visit. You definitely make NYC fun again. I'm a history freak. My ancestral family is from Bronx/Brooklyn. I really enjoy the unknown spots you find.
i simply love your videos around New york and surrounding areas. Gives me sort of a "home sick" feel, which is weird, because ive only been over there once pre covid :) So thanks !
I was in NYC 3 years ago & planning to come back with my recently married wife soon. So glad I follow your channel to find these missed hidden attractions so I can explore them next 😀
