That is an absolutely gorgeous knife. The flow, the bolster/scales combo, that sick chisel grind, that sculpted pocket clip... If I wasn't a flipper guy, I'd probably be saving up for one like a mad man.
Well Jim, I was at Red Horse's Instagram checking out a fully custom 1 of only 2 made Stone Crow knives. Inquired about it & low & behold, Joe had onle left. I went ahead & purchased it. Can't wait to receive it, I consider it an investment & heirloom to hand down to my son. Red Horse Knives are going to be reckoned with in the future. Edward Kim is already making a name for himself.
Awesome video Jim! I have watched this video probably a dozen times or more. I have become infatuated with the Black Death Hell Razor so much that I reached out to RHKW and have been exchanging emails with Gene. I am happy to say that I have placed my order for a Black Death. I have requested a couple changes so that mine will be a little different than the others. As of yesterday evening, there are only a few slots left Those of you who are still on the fence, you best come down and place your order before they are gone forever. According to the website, delivery will be sometime in July. A long wait but it will definitely be worth it.
I admit I don't watch your videos too often but when I saw the thumbnail I just had to click. Really damn amazing knife. I bet it illegal in NYC but fuck that I would still carry it.
I just picked up the red accented carbon fiber with the coated blade of the P series. If I would of seen this 4 years ago I wouldn't of hesitated but unfortunately they no longer offer this model. That's what sucks about the knife world. Beautiful knife.
Yeah you don't see many grind that way. I'm sure there are others but the only I'm aware of is Ernie Emerson. All his V grinds also have a single chisel edge bevel. Of course he also is known for his full chisel grinds with chisel bevels as in the CQC-7s, but many don't realize his V grinds also have chisel edges as well
One of these days I'm going to try to go through all your videos and count all the times you've said you have a hard time carrying anything else haha. I totally get it since I go through phases of loving certain knives so much they're hard to put it down. Sometimes I wonder if I'm the only one that takes forever to decide which knives to carry every day because I love so many in my collection. It's nice when I'm still in the honeymoon phase with a particular piece since it makes choosing on those days so much faster.
When I look at holes in knife blades they seem to look kind of cheap, when I look at a Bodega the holes look cheap but the knife is extremely high quality. But then I look at this knife I actually really like the holes in the blade it adds a lot to the looks.
Jim if I ever happen to come by the city or town that you live in and I find out where you live and I bring pizza can we sit down and look at you amazing collection?
Would have been a lot nicer if the screws were hidden on the pearl carbon fiber scales. That's just a nit pick though. Still looks extremely attractive overall.
With this knives is like with jewelry. I would suggest a black or white gloves when u show your knives. You will not leave smudges on your blades an it will leave a statement.
+Kashebe Damon I'm sure with Jim's sense of humor it could be pretty funny, but It would cut into his time for videos on real knives. A satirical video talking about the positives of an mtech on April fools day would have been wonderful.
Have to say that the clip looks like something that belongs on an "edgy" street vendor's pocket knife for 20 bucks. The matted look clashes with the rest of the handle and makes it look plastic, and the double screws, that are probably intended to give off a look of sturdy reliabilty or some kind of industrial design statement, really aren't very pretty, and could have probably been more elegantly implemented if they were blue, and there was only one. The pattern on the handle is halfway between a weave and a jumble, which looks fine until you look at it up close. I agree with another commenter that the blade would look more like a razor with mirror polish, and I really dislike the random holes through the thickest part. This knife wouldn't mind the weight of the extra metal, so the holes just come off as the same kind of over-the-top design that you see in a myriad of fantasy daggers and futuristic designs. But most of all I can't handle the curve on that clip. This is all personal opinion, and I have provided my reasons, so take that as you will. I really like the curves and look of the knife as a whole. It's really something you feel like you just want to pick up and hold.
The description that comes to mind to me is "impractical." The holes, beveling and carbon fiber are beautiful. The blade however is a neutered sheepsfoot blade. If all you do is open boxes, then it's fine. But that is honestly all the blade is good for. Knives of this size don't "chop" by the way. You just contradicted yourself by saying you will not baton this knife, "It's not a chopper." It seems like you're just kind of kissing ass in this to be honest. When I see the blade shape I think utilitarian at an unbelievable price. The blade centering also looks severely off to the "right" side of the blade, which is something it seems you have avoided mentioning. The pocket clip is nothing special, and has an extreme pocket protrusion. This is simply a box razor with an un-impressive steel for the price. This is NOT a self-defense knife at all. If you consider self defense as lightly cutting your attacker, then maybe it is. The lack of any thrusting capability should make this clear to any vet, police officer, or knife enthusiast. "so fucking perfect" is far away from this knife. You don't need to go wild and crazy spending money on something you will never use outside of flipping it in your hand. Jaw dropper? Panty dropper? My fucking cringe... It simply looks like a curved razor.

I've been bored lately with knives that all look very similar. Looking at this knife is very refreshing.

3 great vids in a single day. and no tops.
yes Virginia, there IS a santa claus.
Wholly Donkey Balls ,that is sick...!
Would be on a completely different level if it had a Marfione mirror polish on the blade. The difference between an A- and an A+
My "Angel Wing" will have a polished blade
+Jim Skelton if this is black make it all black and get damascus blade for it
The mirror polish would look great on this knife
She pulls it out of your pocket and goes uhhhehehehe then it's consensual😂😂😂
I'd leave my wife for that piece of class.
Nice one. Something to dream of for the most of us. Would fun to do a wet shave vid Mr. Skelton with this gem.
So if she likes knives then "It's ok, coz then its consensual"? I have to agree! Freaking badass!
Brad
Very nice blade !

With this knives is like with jewelry. I would suggest a black or white gloves when u show your knives. You will not leave smudges on your blades an it will leave a statement.

Blade shape reminds me of a meat clever. Sweet design though.
