Hey love, so sorry you are having a rough recovery, but you will get there love, and I hope you get some answers from your nurses and nutrition staff next week. Big hugs and lots of love...I know its redundant, but it does get easier.

Your doing really well with your weight loss. I'm in my third week and full liquids. I've been struggling this week myself just learning what and how much to eat. You'll get it together... and find what's good to you and for you. It's trial and error...

Great loss! I'm sorry about your stomach issues. Do you still have nausea medicine? I hope you feel better. You might want to call your doctor and tell them that you are having a horrible time with being nausea.

I've watched a lot of videos where people said their hormones went insane! They said that hormones are stored in fat-so when you start losing they are being released everywhere and you become very emotional. I hope it's going better now!

I'm sorry your having such a hard time. I remember the disgusting smells and the pain of not being able to eat much. It gets better, it just seems to take forever. For the soft foods stage I hope you try the Ricotta Bake. I lived on that stuff!!

Hey doll. It sucks that full liquids was not working for you. Maybe warm milk ? I think the purée stage will be more appetizing to your new pouch. It will be okay soon. ))))))))))

I know its frustrating, but don't rush the food progression if you dont feel like you are able. Its still very early and all the water and eating is hard work ... that's how you have to look at it right now. Work. so ya, keep trying and retrying things until you find something. Just try not to get discouraged about it, thikn of it more as an experiemnt to figure out what is good for you at this moment in time.
I'm sure you NUT gave you some advice. listen to that. From what I've read and experienced, drinking really is the number one thing at this stage. protein shakes second, everythign else a distant third.
Thanks!!! I went back to clear fluids for a day and that helped. Soups are defiantly my friend lol. I an progressing slowly to purees and started with thicker soup[ and refried beans. But I can't find a protein powder that will settle in my stomach. the only thing I can get down is the Atkins Lift drinks and that only some days.
It's like child birth. Horrible, yet some of us do it again. No logic with that at all. Post-Op SUCKS! You are having a rougher time BUT it gets better! It does get better! xoxo
