Absolutely adore the little "head tilt" you did with the tanks turret. Adds a whole load more character than if you'd just stuck it on straight. Super smart!
Two colors seems like a good minimum, as the mini can still achieve contrast within itself. So each mini feels more finished, as if it carries its own narrative. When I've seen those one-color efforts, they are still getting their contrast out of the environment. So they will always be a bit like fish out of water, unless in a perfectly contrasted, carefully curated situation.
Very cool build. I love how turnip stuff inspires people to really go outside the box . Also, the monochrome theme of red with black weapons remind me of game SUPERHOT (its the most innovative shooter I've played in years )
Such great work, Ben! I really love this - great conversions and the graphic nature of red and black is always a pleasure. One of my favorite combos. The terrain is a awesome nightmare-landscape of ash and death. Looks like a Wayne Barlowe painting in 3D. I want to try this now!
What a great result for the monochrome paint job. It's really striking. You took it a different direction than I was expecting and it definitely paid off. Also, I'm with you in the walking tank idea. I've designed a couple. One that's sort if a steam spider and one that's scorpion like. And of course, a crab could be converted to a tank/stump gun for dual use in Turnip28 and Swill.
beautiful monstrosity with the tank! absolutely love the circle of swords around turret. I like the monochrome. won't be to everyones taste, but go with what you like!
I will copy your recipe to paint a cult of the possessed band to mordheim, but y will add other color. What color do you think i should add? Great work!!!

Thank you! In the end it's the little things that make or break a model. It brought him to life when I saw how much that head angle changed.
Love this mate! I love how vibrant the Contrast is and pops! The design with the dark souls vibe just works so well!
Thank you kindly. Your videos were a big stepping stone for me getting into Turnip. Thanks for the inspiration!

For sure, they don't have contrast in themselves. I think at least the base should be something the mini stands out against to make it work.
LEGS! I love it, I'm inspired, I'm probably gonna steal this, amazing work Ben
Legs, legs, legs! Thank you, I can't wait to see what you come up with.
I love the theme and that red is poppin!
Thank you, friend! Means a lot!

Thank you kindly! Oh yeah, it is very similiar to SUPERHOT. If I'd put them against a white background even more so.
Freaking awesome
Thank you kindly!
These look so damn good. The tank especially has such an awesome profile to it.
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoy it!
So cool
Thank you!
Sometimes the most effective effects are achieved with the simplest techniques! Always a treat to look at your art pieces!
Thank you friend! Your words always motivate me.
Insanely cool conversions and clever way to paint! I might have to try this for an army. It's like they sprang to life right out of a painting
Thank you for that great compliment! Let me know when you try such a scheme, would love to see your results.
This is awesome
Thank you kindly!
Monochrome looks so much better than the traditional style. Must get airbrush :-)
It sure is a lot faster and fun :)
Looking so good. That tank bash is awesome.
Thanks! It is my favorite part of the project as well.
What a nice video! The contrasting color scheme looks great.
Thank you kindly! Much appreciated.
Awseome!
Thanks!
Excellent concept and execution!
Thank you, I'm glad it worked out.

Oh please, please do, Rick! With your skill and talent I am sure it will end up amazing!
@@ben_has_hobbies I think I will! Very inspiring work as always, Ben. 💪
Monochrome is such an underrated and underused style. Loving this. well done. and a +1 for grimdark monochrome
Thank you! I hope we will see more of these minimalist schemes in the future. I'm a big fan.

Thank you! Oh yeah, using a crab for both games is an ingenious idea!
Love this! Abstract painting schemes are the best!
Thanks! They really are.
beautiful monstrosity with the tank! absolutely love the circle of swords around turret. I like the monochrome. won't be to everyones taste, but go with what you like!
Thank you! Yeah, that is rule number one. Create what you want to see.
This is the coolest hobby painting video I ever ever seen. I'm definitely inspired and I'll be trying this out! 💕💕💕
You're too kind, Thank you! I hope you have fun trying it out.
minimalist i love it!
Greatly appreciate it!
These look amazing!
I'm struggling to find the words for what an amazing job you have done with such a simple colour palette
You're too kind, I think you've found the right words already!
Love the monochromatic look! And the terrain complements it so well, I particularly like the black church!!!
Thank you kindly! The church is the hidden mvp of this project. It adds so much.
You make some amazing stuff, man. Truly inspiring.
Thanks! Highly appreciated.
These are awesome, especially against that black terrain! The swords on the tank were totally worth the effort, very striking
Thank you! I'm glad the work paid of :)
That tank is just nuts I love it :-D
It's nutty for sure! Thanks!
So fitting with the music
Thank you! That means a lot to me.

Thank you!
You got it uploaded, yay! Thank you for helping me paint my zombies.
I'm glad I can be of assistance :)
Hi Ben, Great Video. Your videos are really good, constantly so. You inspire me.
That makes me very glad. Thank you!
Great result ! Awesome kitbash with the tank ! Very menacing !
For me, miniature painting is in itself an art project...
Thanks! And I think that is very true.
Awesome vid man! 🎉
Thank you so much!
super cool! I want to start doing more monochrome stuff to save time on painting and spend more time on modeling.
Thank you! Yeah, those schemes work in our favor on so many levels!
This is my jam.
Thanks!
These look amazing!
Thank you kindly!
Awesome
Selber :)
They look great! The coloring is very striking
Thank you, it is great fun working with limitations.
Dude these are so fucking gnarly! Love it!
The music, as always, is on point too. Really great guitar tone
Thank you! My work horse, a Gibson Les Paul Tribute, through a Fender Blues Junior and the Earthquaker SUNN O))) pedal.
@@ben_has_hobbies Ooooooo that Life Pedal is so good! One of my favorites on my board
Favourite Video so far mate! Lass mal wieder chillen
Danke, mein Lieber! Zum Glück sehen wir uns bald auf der Con :)
@@ben_has_hobbiesFreu mich schon drauf 😁🔥🔥🔥
Brother this was AMAZING! Loved the tank, reminds me of the tank-class BETA from muv luv lol
Thank you kindly! I wasn't familiar with muv luv. The monster design looks amazing!
@@ben_has_hobbies indeed, might even give you some ideas for future projects ;)
These are FIRE 🔥
You are fire!!!
Have you tried Apoxie Sculpt? It's so much easier to work with than Milliput.
I didn't so far. Will try it for sure I think my wife has some. Thanks!
Art and miniatures are the same for me. There are very little miniatures in my painted stuff that are not converted in some way.
I think that is a very valid opinion to have. Thank you for watching!
Very nice! May i ask which is the correct/best scale for adapting normal/modern tanks to swill? 1:35?
Thanks! I think 1:56 (28mm) works best since we mostly use Perry and Warlord Miniatures for Swill gangers and soldiers.
On another note, love your music for the video. It dose make a differenceif the music for a video is bad it make the video hard to watch
Thanks, I really appreciate it! Making music for my videos is the thing I enjoy most in the whole process.
I will copy your recipe to paint a cult of the possessed band to mordheim, but y will add other color. What color do you think i should add? Great work!!!
Thank you! I think my favorite color for that would be orange! It pops so well.
KVLT AF!
Really metal so much that the knjghts could be played straight without the french hats, since they are a bit too silly for the mood of the tank.
Thank you! I love a bit of silliness in my builds. Horror ans humor are hard to combine but I nonetheless try.
Looks great! Would be an amazing khorne demon colour scheme
Thank you! Oh yeah, unwantedleg did something similar a while back. I think it would work great!
One of the better large creatures from Turnip28 i've ever seen. Good job!
Thank you! I'm glad you like it.
Wow! Amazing job!!! what do you use for corrosion texture? a particular brand or is homemade? it looks great!
Thank you! I mostly use Corrosion Texture by AK Interactive.
